Not that the US is great in all departments, but if there was a politician who pulled down their own statue 'cos it was smaller than someone else's, that politician would make him/herself the butt** of so many jokes for a long, long time. Not to mention that he/she would be politically dead within 2 hours of the statue-pulling-down.
