Television commentary against Clinton plunged to disgraceful testosterone-charged lows: first reprimands for sounding like a âscolding motherâ and a ânagging wifeâ; then âevery manâs first wifeâ and eventually a âshe-devilâ and a âwhite bitchâ. At times, it was a struggle to remember that political punditry did not always sound straight out of menâs locker rooms.
