Location&Direction:This temple is located in Thirukollambuttur-Tanjavur District ,situated at Nannilam circle near Koradacheri. We can also reach to this place Via Kumbakonam-Koradacheri bus route by getting down at Sellur.

When Pandavas were in Exile, Arjuna followed the advise given by Kowmiya Saint to worship Vilvavananathar, Arjuna was blessed with Pashupathaasthram by Vilvananathar which he used during Mahabaratha War.
Another famous story is, when Sage Thirugyanasambandar along with his disciples visted this place there was cyclone and he rowed the Boat without the Paddle by singing the verse "Kottamae Kamazhum" and by Gods Grace reached the other side of the bank and worshiped Vilvavananathar, hence the name "Odampokiyaaru"
