Ahead of Lok Sabha polls: BJP, RSS iron out operational differences

Sarkaryavah Mohanrao Bhagwat led the deliberations that had two BJP Chief Ministers – Narendra Modi and Shivraj Singh Chauhan – Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi, Members of Parliament Balbir Punj, Chandan Mitra, Manvendra Singh, Hindutva ideologues Sheshadri Chari and Swapan Dasgupta, as also members of the party’s national executive, including Venkaiah Naidu and Prakash Javdekar. Though the state BJP was absent on the first day, state party president Parsottam Rupala made a brief appearance on Wednesday.

“Two things came out of the meet. One, that there is a clarity of mind on the need to bring down the UPA government. Two, that when it comes to coordination between the RSS and the BJP, nothing should be left to chance.
