I have got a good response to the reply posted (neglecting the fact that whether
its positive or negative).But before we go head with any discussions further we
are supposed to know one thing that we are here for exchange of ideas through a
healthy debate and quotes by Mr.Pandyan like "Maybe you should watch some news before coming and vomiting your puke all over here" are really disturbing. He may be trying to make a point but the language should be taken care of. It clearly shows once attitude and personality. If ever there is difference of opinion ,we are supposed to mark it but with dignity.
Coming to the points made by Mr. husky I have read your entire reply and it was
quite informative. One thing i did not understand was how u linked the events.
{ the Hindus who were murdered by the islamics in Kashmir were merely "Kashmiris"
genocided by "other Kashmiris". Because vinod finds it unsecular to give recognition to the truth of how it was not mere 'random inexplicable' genocide,
but rather *religiously motivated* (and therefore targeted) genocide.}
and also two other paras u just told about koreans and bangladeshi's belongs to
religious intolerance.
{
both the christian nazis who genocided the Jews during (and for 1.7 millennia
prior to) the nazi Holocaust, as well as the Jewish victims of this
christoterorrism, were all merely "German/European citizens". Vinod wants the
future to have no idea as to why 6 million "Europeans" were killed by many "other
Europeans" around WWII.
}
While one mentioned above has nothing to do with religion. Hitler accused Britain and United states both Christian majority countries of supporting Jews. So this is no Christians Vs Jews concept.
He felt that ethnic Germans in Austria and Czechoslovakia are oppressed by Jews as he was also a German from a village in Austria and he developed a hatred towards them and in his speech he says "Its time to see the free German spirit above all". Dividing themselves as German, Polish ,French , English and so on europeans plunged Europe into war and it took the world along with it.
clearly all events mentioned by Mr.Husky are clear evidence of what catastrophes can happen when religious intolerance or regional intolerance take precendence. When we are discussing here of one such catastrophe that was caused by religious intolerance and if we want to irradicate it then we need to counter it with religious unity because its the only solution.
Instead here we are again and again talking of religion and blaming religions and indirectly supporting religious intolerance and that was all I wanted to tell in my previous post.
A simple example. Britishers when they wanted to conquer India they supported one princely king and made him invade another kingdom and once it is
done they would occupy his kingdom also. Their support to the king was just a
facade to achieve their goal of conquering India.
In the same way terrorists take the name of religion and show that they
are sympathetic to one religion and fighting for it while declaring a war on
another religion. It's just a facade to conceal their goal of destabilizing
governments and nations and establish their barbaric rule.
As per the statement made by Mr. pandyan on dec 2.
"If religion doesn't play a role in this, why did they selectively target and
kill Hindus and Jews? Why was a Turkish Muslim family let off?" he might mean that Islamic terrorists will not kill Islam followers.
In that case if ever terrorists are really Islamic friendly under the rule of Taliban Islamic state of Afghanistan must have seen at least proper law and
order if not economic development but u can see thousand of Islamic women gang raped and several afghans all Muslims brutally murdered.
As Mr. Husky said I really agree that terrorists say that they are doing
for Allah (using the name of god in vain) but they really are doing for themselves.
I once again say its high time we leave religious fanatism and have a more broader and humanitarian out look which i feel is really necessary to counter terrorism along with arms ,army and ammunition.
And to Lsrini and bodhi nice to hear that we have similar thoughts regarding this topic and Mr.Bodhi in my next reply i would post my ideas of what i think can eliminate the roots of terrorism.
