India have called off their tour of Pakistan in January and February following an order from the government. The series was in doubt following a deterioration in relations between the two countries, a fallout from the Mumbai attacks which India alleges had links to elements in Pakistan.
"We have received a letter from Indian Goverrnment stating that in the prevailing circumstances, India's tour of Pakistan is not feasible", Ratnakar Shetty, the BCCI's chief administrative officer, told Cricinfo.
MS Gill, the Indian sports minister, had earlier said he was not in favour of the team travelling to Pakistan.
