It's even stranger. The thing that these goras wanted so desperately to claim as their own (IE) actually originated from outside (india). And the thing that they thought came from outside (namely christianity or normativism) is actually original to them. You would think that being able to finally lay claim to their christian geopolitical soul would be a welcome homecoming, but the homecoming turns out to be a funeral. This just may be the mother of all tragedies. What is actually going on here?
