"NRI’s (Citizens of India who are non-resident) are a major source of FDI. NRI’s should be allowed and in fact encouraged to vote.

Most other countries encourage their non-resident citizens to vote. Singapore has recently expanded it and made it even easier than postal ballots — in New York there will be a polling booth for Overseas Singaporeans.
