<b>Protests force Kasab's lawyer to withdraw</b> <!--emo&:cool--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/specool.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='specool.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Over 100 activists staged a protest and pelted stones at the residence of Anjali Waghmare, appointed by a special court to represent Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab [Images], the lone terrorist arrested during the terror attack on Mumbai [Images] in November last year, on Monday night.
Waghmare was unhurt in the attack and the police resorted to a mild lathicharge to disperse the mob. The situation was soon brought under control.
"They seem to be upset against Waghmare, who is representing Kasab. They were shouting slogans against her," said Joint Police Commissioner K L Prasad (Law and Order). He said the activists may either belong to the Shiv Sena [Images] or the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.
Following the attack, Waghmare has reportedly withdrawn from the case, but no official confirmation about her withdrawal was available
