An 11-year-old got a new lease of life after he became the first patient at AIIMS to receive âleftoverâ veins from another surgery to correct his condition.
A resident of Samaipur Badli in the Capital, Rahul was admitted at AIIMS two months ago with a rare disorder called Aorta Arteritis â the condition led to shrinking of vessels carrying blood to the kidneys. In the disease, the aorta, which carries blood from heart to different organs, gets constricted leading to limited supply of blood.
