MANSEHRA: Six aid workers, two of them women, of a US-based charity organisation were killed and eight others wounded in an attack in a remote village of Mansehra on Wednesday.



A government official said the attack on the offices of World Vision, a Christian charity, appeared to be the work of militants, but hastened to add that an inquiry had been ordered into the incident.

World Vision has been operating in the area since the October 2005 earthquake, helping women and children.
