Curfew relaxed in violence-hit Bareilly



Bareilly, Mar 16 (PTI) With situation limping towards normalcy in trouble-hit areas, curfew was today again relaxed as no untoward incident was reported from any part of the city, officials said here.



"With situation returning to normal, curfew in five police areas - Prem Nagar, Qila, Baradari, Kotwali and Subhash Nagar - has been relaxed this morning again for eight hours, from 6 AM to 2 PM," they said.



However, sources said that the curfew has been relaxed conditionally and certain restrictions have been imposed as a preventive measure.



The administration has decided not to allow fairs, organised on the occasion of navratri festival, sources said.



"the administration has also decided not to allow vehicles ply on the city roads and only pedestrians, cycles and rickshaws have been allowed to move in the city," they said.
