An intelligence agency on April 20 warned the law enforcement agencies that six to seven al Qaeda-linked militants entered Gujranwala and are likely to target foreigners, especially Chinese nationals who are working on different projects in various areas of the city, and residing in WAPDA Town, reports Daily Times. According to the intelligence report, the militants, equipped with hand grenades and AK-47 assault rifles, entered Gujranwala a week ago. It said the militants are being provided accommodation and other logistics support by a local resident identified as one Tariq. The report also revealed that some of the militants were likely to use gas masks during their attacks.
