A mob attacks a Durga temple in Chattal and forcibly isolates it by digging up the government road leading to the temple. When the OC with his force came in, they attacked the OC and injured him. Here are some lines from the “application” by a local Hindu:



“They [the Muslim mob of about 12 thousand people]destroyed all of the Hindu’s shops in biswanathpur,kartickpur,thanapara,deganga bazar area and took fire on that,they also destroyed all of the temple and statue of Maa Kali, Maa Durga, Shanee and Radha Gobinda in kaliani,kartickpur and deganga bazaar area.They attacked the people mercilessly on the road with arms.They did also strike in golabari, beliaghata . Also attacked the buses and identified the Hindu’s by forcing to undress and attacked them roughshod..They burnt 2 buses, 4 police vans and 2 goody vans.They also burnt 2 cars of full R.A.F. bombing on them at that area on the next day,7th of September.In that case 1 man of R.A.F. died on the field. Then they burnt all the Hindu’s shops at beliaghata and attacked all the Hindu houses and set fire .They also planed to attack our chattal pally area step by step action but they did not made it correctly.We all the people of the chattal pally are feeling insecure totally.”
