Israel’s rebuff: don’t compare to holocaust

Israel on Monday said no comparison can be made with the Holocaust, in which six million Jews were killed before and during World War II. The statement comes a day after senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh asserted that just like Hitler’s Nazi party attacked the Jews, the RSS ideology was to capture power by targeting Muslims under the garb of furthering nationalism,



Reacting to Singh’s remarks, the Israel Embassy noted, “In response to inquiries from the Press, the Embassy of Israel wishes to stress — without entering into political debate — that no comparison can be made with the Nazi Holocaust, in which six million Jews were massacred solely because they were Jewish.”
