Cryptoism is a threat for such reasons. Because those who don't know better - which is many an Indian - will innocently look at that name "Digvijay Singh" and not realise that it has a non-transparent ideology motivating it, and so they'll take him at his word or criticise just his words. Which is the wrong response and will work not at all. Creating awareness about cryptoism and cryptos would have been something. As things stand now, it doesn't matter. It's in power and knows how to retain it. "Democratically elected", to all outward opinion - certainly to the historical record and general understanding.
Hindus have no defences.
It's inside the gates. It's cancer. All it needs now is time to grow.
While it can totter and fall all by itself one fine day (but so can islam, who's holding their breath?), can't imagine what is in Hindus' power to do about it.
In the south of the country somewhere, there are already full-fledged openly-christian parties who no longer need the cryptochristianism of the congress to hide behind. <- A development that's happened much sooner than anticipated, but then, everything about the recent India has happened so fast.
"Interesting" times ahead.
