Mazari was served a show-cause notice by the party administration after she reportedly gave a statement which went against PTIââ¬â¢s policies.
Refusing to give an explanation over her statement, Mazari decided to quit the party ââ¬â a decision which she announced at a press conference at National Press Club.
In her messages posted on Twitter, Mazari said that the PTI has ââ¬Åchanged its principles and brought in intermediaries and that she was not planning on joining another party.ââ¬Â
ââ¬ÅThe membership drive was hijacked by ââ¬Ëbig moneyââ¬â¢ this has compromised the party elections,ââ¬Â read one of her Tweets.
Mazari also expressed discontentment in her tweets saying ââ¬Åthe way they [PTI] treated my daughter on twitter, abusing her over my remarks, is unacceptable.ââ¬Â
She said that she was ââ¬Ånot raising allegationsââ¬Â against party chief Imran Khanââ¬â¢s ââ¬Åcharacterââ¬Â, but that the party principles ââ¬Åhad been forgone.ââ¬Â
Jalil Ahmad Sharkpuri has replaced Mazari.
Cheers
