Bangladeshi rioters torch Buddhist temples

THOUSANDS of rioters have torched Buddhist temples and homes in southeastern Bangladesh over a photo posted on Facebook deemed offensive to Islam, in a rare attack against the community.

But this one too is orchestrated.)



[color="#0000FF"]Officials said the mob, comprising about 25,000 people, on Sunday set fire to at least five Buddhist temples and dozens of homes in Ramu town and its adjoining villages, about 350 kilometres from Dhaka.[/color]



The rioters claimed the photo allegedly defaming the Koran was uploaded on Facebook by a Buddhist man from the area, district administrator Joinul Bari said.



"They became unruly and attacked Buddhist houses, torching and damaging their temples from midnight to Sunday morning," Bari told AFP.



"At least 100 houses were damaged. We called in army and border guards to quell the violence."



Authorities had temporarily banned public gatherings in the area to prevent further clashes, Bari said.



It was not immediately clear if there were any casualties, and authorities did not say if any of the rioters were arrested.

(Of course the islamaniac authorities are not going to arrest their dear islamaniac rioters doing islam's own work. Nor are they going to report on how many Buddhists were genocided in this latest islamaniac campaign against BD's Buddhists.)



The country's home minister, industries minister and national police chief rushed to the scene on Sunday morning.



Police officer Rumia Khatun said about "25,000 Muslims chanting God is Great" first attacked a Buddhist hamlet in Ramu, torching centuries-old temples, and later stormed Buddhist villages outside the town.



Witnesses said the rioters left a trail of devastation at the Buddhist villages.



"I have seen 11 wooden temples, two of them 300 years old, torched by the mob," said Sunil Barua, a local journalist on the scene.



"They looted precious items and Buddha statues from the temples. Shops owned by Buddhists were also looted."



Barua, himself a Buddhist, said 15 Buddhist villages were attacked and more than 100 houses were looted and damaged.



"The villages look like as if they were hit by a major cyclone," he told AFP by phone.



Buddhists, who make up less than one per cent of Bangladesh's 153 million population, are based mainly in southeastern districts, close to the border with Buddhist-majority Burma.



Sectarian tensions have been running high since June when deadly clashes erupted between Buddhists and Muslim Rohingya in Burma's western Rakhine state.

Although Bangladesh, where nearly 90 per cent people are Muslims, has witnessed deadly clashes between Muslims and Hindus in the past, sectarian clashes involving Buddhists are rare.

1. There's been no "clash" between Muslims and Hindus in BD or TSP: all of them are one-sided being islamic *persecutions* of Hindus. They're even more one-sided than the islamic persecutions of Hindus in India, since at least in India the majority is Hindu and for every 1000 islamic attacks against Hindus, Hindus may be seen to retaliate once.

2. As for so-called "clashes" between Muslims and Buddhists - i.e. the one-sided islamic persecution of Buddhists - in Bangladesh, this is *ongoing* and anything BUT rare. The islamic *genocide* of the native Buddhists of Bangladesha is the same as the islamic genocide of the native Hindus of Bangladesha.)



In recent weeks tens of thousands of Muslims have hit the street across the country to protest a US-made anti-Islam film mocking the prophet Mohammed.

And a photo of some of the crazed islamaniacs. Strikes me every time how islamaniac men are the ugliest on the planet. (My apologies to any female Hindoos visiting this thread for the image to follow.)

Ug-ly. Ewwww hivers: (Beats me why any infidel ever marries them. Do such women even know *this* is what their offspring is going to look like - not to mention *behave* like - given enough time? I guarantee you.)







Anyway, this entire islamaniac attack is clearly pre-meditated too:



1. It takes time and organisation to get 25,000 islamaniacs together to mob.



2. Note how next to attacking some few-centuries old Buddhist temples, the islamaniacs were also careful to loot "precious items and Buddha statues from the temples". I'm sure these will end up on the black market and - typically - alien dabblers and/or indologists would be buying them and will pretend to others that they "saved this treasure" ("since the native Buddhists clearly could not look after it themselves" - a la the excuse given for stealing the Greek "Elgin" tablets).



3. I'm certain islamofascists planted the facebook "defamation" of islamania themselves and then set up Buddhism for it, so they could create a pretext for wantonly attacking Buddhists again. You know, like islamaniacs in TSP-west were outed by the western ("international") press for having planted the torn up koran in some christist schoolgirl's stuff, just so islam could then persecute the girl and scare local christians (not that I care about that, what christoislamism does to itself is their own internal business).





And oh no, to add insult to injury I predict that next the international community will play-act deep consternation (that's if they bother to take notice - but this is Buddhism, so they will), and proceed to issue their usual impotent (and duplicitous) "condemnations" for the destruction of "centuries-old" Buddhist temples, thereby falsely equating these events to how several ugly islamic dargahs in Timbuktu/Mali were recently demolished by islamics themselves.
