Serial spam. Wrote it, so am posting it.
But honestly it's not worth bothering reading. In place, just read the material at the first link (esp Gautam Sen's response there) and perhaps any other links and quoteblocks in these posts. And the wacky quoteblocks in the final post on Banana Republics.

Elst is back negating western long-distance meddling aka "foreign policy" towards India.* And Oh Yes, they do have one. (As they have one vis-a-vis China and one against Russia.)
* Negating western intentions towards India is a real pet project for Elst, isn't it? And the absurd degree to which he wants to push his arguments - the facts on the ground are obvious and yet he *chooses* repeatedly not to pay heed to them and hence not to present them (which is literally a form of lying, BTW).

I found the title itself deceptive in that it is not really related to Elst's lecturing to Indians (and it is a lecture).
I remember some years back when Elst was seen desperately writing away to exhonerate the christo-colonial British hand in further inciting the already crazed and incendiary jihad against Hindus, all merely to direct said jihad and inevitable jihadi tendencies in British rule's favour. I.e. to retain their christocolonial grip on Hindu India using easily-incensed and all-too-eager islamaniacs - dubbed "minority" and feigning these might be persecuted by the more numerous Hindus - to rout Hindu Nationalism gaining force.
Can see the same in KKKangress harnessing the jihad to keep itself in power to turn the country into a monotheism and rob it blind at the same time to divert resources and wealth to alien banks and climes.
In this lastest instance, Elst turns western puppeteers into the "innocent, DUPED" puppets and their psecular Indian arm (puppets) into the puppeteers. Gautam Sen remains unfazed and disagrees with an easy case in point. Although it won't be a first if the crazy fawning Elst fan-brigade of ever-easy subvertibles attacks Gautam for disagreeing with Elst.
And not of Hindus alone.
Three statements that Elst made caught my eye and are riddled with inversion - i.e. the reality is the very opposite and far more sinister than he makes it out.
As such articles by Elst attempting to disguise western meddling against India to an Indian audience** keep appearing, I no longer think that there's 60% chance it's innocence and 40% that it's deliberate on Elst's part but vice-versa, if not a less-flattering ratio.
Elst's motives are becoming more suspect each time he repeats himself - hammering his POV (or rather, the POV he wants to instill to his Indian audience) by a repetition of articles on this topic and of this nature is a sign of desperation. And desperation in this points to ideological motivation - i.e. he has his own *reasons*, which he is furthermore not stating.
It was a grave mistake to let Indians raise Elst to a pedestal. Goel is partly responsible (as he is for that other mistake foisted on Indian nationalism: NS Rajarant). The rest of the fault lies with the gullibility of the victims - the audience.
Say 3 sympathetic things that your target audience will readily agree with and you might get them to go along with the 4th.
** Of course the west does NOT conspire against India exclusively: e.g. Yugoslavia during the Balkan Wars, and now again Russia, China, Japan. Nepal, Sri Lanka. Even Burma.
So much western meddling in Asia. Not to mention South and Central America all through the final decades of the last century and even yet (Chavez wasn't the only complainant - remember that he declared that they were all a 'native tribe' in Venezuela in response to missionary divide-and-convert-to-conquer meddling - and fingerpointed US as meddling in his land using missionaries to convert local populations to US christocults in order to gain access to the resources in their regions?)
While Bush Jr needed little convincing to make USAID his means of "converting" Indians and other heathens to his invisible=non-existent monogawd, it was merely continuing the old AmriKKKan trend - still seen employed against orthodox Ukrainians and Russians today - of converting key populations in order to divert their allegiance to AmriKKKa/catholic-protestant west and leverage their regional-power for long-distance meddling.
christianaggression.org wasn't the only site to have pages on how CIA infiltratis were often missionaries and vice-versa (missionaries populating a lot of the CIA): mission work goes hand in hand in divide-and-steal-the-resources aka rob the locals blind by subverting national allegiances for extra-national ones. That's why China doesn't allow the Vatican to dictate its catholic church and wants a "native Church" (oxymoron) - though if China had any sense in this matter, it would ban christoislamicommunism entirely since it is by definition treacherous.

Nationalism as a misstatement of Hindu concerns

Racial hostility is indeed a potent background in European and Chinese hostility towards India and Hindus. The generic church is a vehicle for Western domination through the creation of a treasonous Indian Christian constituency in India. Muslims are their ally for keeping Hindus off balance and on the run. Sonia is useful because she is only loyal to the church and the country of which she remains a citizen, namely Italy.
The idea that the Indian left, the likes if Amartya Sen and Romila Thapar determine US policy towards India is plainly absurd. Wikki Leaks confirms that Teesta Setalvad was a US State Department asset, she was not making their policy!
The West and the US are mortal enemies of Hindus.
And not of Hindus alone.
