Is there a way by which we can compile the predictions of Yadav as done in the past vis-a-vis the actual results? If we can have such a list and we make the comparison and then prove beyond doubt that out of say 10 times he has been wrong say 8 times, this should conclusively prove that his predictios are much worse than or at best as good as astrolgical ones/wild guesses/anybodyâs guesses/parrotâs card/numerology guesses. If we can circulate such results to the media, Yadav would have to respond and he can no longer seek refuge under the inherent âuncertainitiesâ and probabilities of statistical methods. Probably, that would help yadav to realise that this sort of motivated manipulations under the garb of his brand of psephology is now laid bare and he should try to look for honourable exit from next predictions. Better, we should send the results to his employers.

Delhi MCD, Congress will have comfortable majority, they lost big time.

NDTV exit poll: BJP set to emerge largest party

Congress, BJP not in favour of alliance in Karnataka
New Delhi (PTI): Amid fears of a hung verdict in Karnataka, the Congress as well as the BJP on Saturday said that they have no plans to go in for an alliance with the former even saying it was ready to sit in the Opposition in such a situation.
On the eve of counting of votes, the saffron party, however, appeared upbeat with some of its leaders talking of getting a comfortable majority to make its solo southern foray.
BJP Chief Rajnath Singh exuded confidence as he said that the party would certainly get majority and it would form the Government to make Bengaluru its gateway to south India.
"There is no question of seeking or extending support as we will get majority on our own," he said when asked if the saffron party would seek support of the JD(S) in the event of a hung verdict.
A senior Congress leader, who declined to be identified, also struck a similar note saying that the party was not ready for an alliance in the event of a hung verdict and would prefer to sit in the opposition.
The leader said it is a "close race" in the state and if there is an undercurrent, BJP will win around 110 seats in the 224-member House and if it was not there, Congress would emerge as a single largest party.

Bangalore: The third phase of polling over on Thursday, a political lull has set across the State after all the hectic electioneering for over a month.
After a two-day rest, political activity of a high order is on the cards soon after the election results are announced on Sunday. By all accounts, government formation is not expected to be an easy exercise unless one of the three main political parties in the fray secures a simple majority in the least. While the Bharatiya Janata Party is the only party which has been categorically stating that it will win a comfortable majority, the Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) have refrained from such announcements for obvious reasons.
The top leaders of all the three parties have opted for a period of rest and relaxation before stepping into the next phase of government formation on Sunday. This is a period when they have to quietly forget the charges and counter-charges that they levelled against each other during the run up to the elections.
The former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, who is camping near Belgaum after the final phase of polling, told The Hindu on Friday that although the Janata Dal (Secular) is confident of obtaining a good number of seats (at least 75 if not more than 100), it has too look forward for a coalition arrangement should the need arise. âWe will, however, not go to the doorstep of any party. It is for the others to come to us seeking our support,â he said.
In other words, unlike in 2004, when the former Prime Minister and national president of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Deve Gowda took the lead in forging an understanding with the Congress, it would be a different ball game this time. Sources in the Janata Dal (Secular) said: âLet us await the results on Sunday. The party leadership is still upset with the Congress which failed to reciprocate after we pulled out of the understanding with the BJP. We have exhibited our commitment to secularism.â
Although on record the leaders of all the three parties have categorically stated that they would not join with the other to form a coalition government, sources in the Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) told The Hindu that the leaders of their respective parties have commenced an informal interaction, more so, after the exit poll surveys have indicated that a hung Assembly is in the offing. Some of the Chief Ministerial aspirants in the Congress have also sent across feelers to the Janata Dal (Secular) leadership. Mr. Gowda who is away from Bangalore is expected to return on Saturday.
Should there be a hung Assembly as in 2004, at least two parties have to come together to form a Government. It is therefore for the two national parties, the Congress and the BJP, to work out a strategy of working out an arrangement with the Janata Dal (Secular) should neither of them succeed in getting the requisite number of seats that could enable them to form a Government of their own. On its part, the Janata Dal (Secular) leadership is busy in talking to all its prospective legislators to ensure that they stand behind the leadership. The party is expected to take a collective decision before opting for an understanding with any political party, should there be a need.

Bangalore: President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee M. Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday said that his party would get a working majority in the just-concluded Assembly elections and form the government.
Mr. Kharge, who is contesting from the Chitapur Assembly Constituency (SC) in Gulbarga district, said the chances of the Congress winning the elections had improved in the final phase of polling.
He said that the party was not pessimistic about the results unless there was some miracle.
He alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Janata Dal (Secular) had distributed money and liquor to voters during the elections, without any qualms.
Reiterating the criticism against the Election Commission for not heeding the Congress demand for holding elections after preparing the electoral rolls, Mr. Kharge said that 20 per cent of the voters, mostly labour class and farmers, were deprived of their rights.
Citing the case of polling booth no. 98 near Wadi Station in his Chitapur constituency, he said that names of some 143 voters had been removed a few months ago by the Commission.
But, they returned with their ID cards and were allowed to vote. An election observer, who saw this, had reportedly ordered a repoll in the booth, he said.
Asked in how many constituencies, such mistakes had occurred and to what extent this had affected the chances of the Congress, Mr. Kharge said that this had not been studied.
He said that the commission should not repeat this mistake in the elections which would be held in future.
Many voters were illiterate and should not be deprived of their right to vote.
The KPCC president alleged in many booths the polling officers had disallowed a large number of people from casting their votes, even after producing one of the 20 documents to prove their identity.
Hooch tragedy
On the hooch tragedy, the Congress leader demanded action against top officials and not a few juniors such as sub-inspectors, responsible for the death of people.
On the basis of important recommendations of various inquiry commissions and committees on the liquor tragedies in the State, a stringent law should be enacted to avoid recurrence of such incidents, Mr.Kharge added.
