US Elections 2008 - III
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Latest as of this morning from John West:

<b>Hillary has signaled yesterday and today with her own words to delegates, SD's and supporters that she wants an open convention, wants her name and other names that earned it to be put in nomination...</b>
...that only through an open, free-wheeling convention can true unity come to the Party.

She wants to see that and is authorizing that she be put into nomination.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->This just in from someone who met with Hillary yesterday in San Francisco:

"She talked about her name being put into nomination and she said that she wanted her voters to be heard and for her delegates to have the experience of what a real convention is. She said that by doing this and by having a roll call that it would help unify the party." <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I have not been able to follow US elections much lately but noticed this ..

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->But now the combustible issue of Barack Obama's racial identity has been thrust squarely into the heated political battle of the 2008 race<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Is this the first time this became an issue after HRC gave up ? Also I notice that BO's leads have narrowed down significantly - true ?
Obama rating is tanking, so yesterday he used his race card by these line three times in different town hall meetings <i>"“We know what kind of campaign they’re going to run,” he said in June. “They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. ‘He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?’ ”
“doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.”</i>

He had used same type of statements in Germany and UK. GOP is very upset.
He skipped meeting wounded army men in place went to Gymn for work out.

Yesterday Obama gave another top of line statement "<i> if only we would all properly inflate our tires, we could save as much gasoline as "all the oil that they're talking about getting off drilling."</i>
Plus GOP had started attack, comparing Obama with Britney Spear and Paris Hilton, today they came up with Divine ad<i> "I am the one"</i>

<b>Last week Gallup was Obama 49% McCain 40% and today its Obama 44% and McCain 44%. With registered voters as of today Obama is 42% and McCain 47%.</b>

This is just begining, not counting Bradley effect.
Today Conservative radios (Hannity and Rush) are saying this weekend every American, drop your guns, don't go to Church, go to auto center, inflate your tires and tune your cars, This will bring down Oil Price down, this is what Messiah, the annotated one is saying. <!--emo&Big Grin--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&Big Grin--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Obama's enthusiasm for exercise first raised eyebrows last month, when he stopped three times in one day for workouts at Chicago gyms, prompting a reporter to wonder: "Sometimes it's hard to tell if Barack Obama is running for President or Mr Universe."

It has also been widely noted that Obama sometimes seems appalled when presented at election meetings with the pride of local cuisine, often a fat-smothered hunk of meat or a sugary bun dripping in aerosol cream.

<b>Obama Muslim Coodinator Resigns</b>

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Barack Obama's national Muslim outreach coordinator has resigned amid a controversy of over his connections to a man who the Justice Department named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the racketeering trial last year of several alleged Hamas fund-raisers.

Mazen Ashabi, a Chicago lawyer who had been appointed to help Obama reach out to Muslims, stepped down on Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported late last night.

The subtitles are the giveaway: Jerome Corsi’s The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality, Fredosso’s The Case Against Barack Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media’s Favorite Candidate and Dick Morris’ Fleeced: How Barack Obama, Media Mockery of Terrorist Threats, Liberals Who Want to Kill Talk Radio, the Do-Nothing Congress, Companies That Help Iran, and Washington Lobbyists for Foreign Governments Are Scamming Us ... and What to Do About It.

The authors allege that Obama is not a benign spokesman for hope and unity, but an ideologue with close ties to 1960s radicals and the Chicago political machine.

Obama-cans Unite

By Michael Luo

Led by a former Bush fund-raiser and a former U.S. Senator who bolted the G.O.P. several years ago, a group of current and former Republicans disenchanted with Senator John McCain and supportive of Senator Barack Obama are banding together to start a “Republicans for Obama” effort.

Rita Hauser, a New York philanthropist who raised money for both George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, is helping to organize the push to draw Republicans away from Mr. McCain and will serve as a spokeswoman for the group, alongside former U.S. Senator Lincoln Chafee, of Rhode Island, who was one of the most moderate Republicans in the Senate and became an independent after he lost his seat in 2006.

Ms. Hauser served as a finance chairwoman in New York for George W. Bush in 2000 and was a member of the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board during his first term, but she endorsed Senator John F. Kerry in 2004, because of her opposition to the Iraq War.

Ms. Hauser said she was motivated to support the presumed Democratic nominee, Mr. Obama, again by her feelings on Iraq. But she said others in the group were driven by other issues.

About 20 current and former Republicans make up the group’s leadership committee, including Douglas Kmiec, a Republican who served in the Justice Department under President Ronald Reagan and was a supporter of Mitt Romney during the Republican primary, and Dorothy Danforth Burlin, a Washington lawyer who is the daughter of former U.S. Senator John Danforth, another moderate Republican.

The group plans to unveil a Web site this week that will include a chat room and the ability for others to sign onto their cause.

Edwards sex lie cost Hillary the nomination: Former aide
13 Aug 2008, 0125 hrs IST,AFP

WASHINGTON: Hillary Clinton would be the Democrats' White House nominee today if former presidential hopeful John Edwards had come clean earlier about an extra-marital affair, a top aide to Clinton believes.

"I believe we would have won Iowa, and Clinton today would therefore have been the nominee," Howard Wolfson, who was the combative communications director for Clinton's doomed campaign, said.

In an interview, Wolfson also said that Clinton's campaign knew about the affair but kept quiet. "Any of the campaigns that would have tried to push that would have been burned by it," he said.

Wolfson insisted that Edwards voters in Iowa, whose caucuses kicked off the 2008 race in early January, would have been behind Clinton rather than Obama. "Our voters and Edwards' voters were the same people," he said.
Soros Agent Spilled the Beans:Lord Malloch Brown is Conduit to Obama" -LPAC

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

August 15, 2008 (LPAC)--In a London Times interview dated February 24, 2008, the Barack Obama campaign's senior foreign policy adviser Samantha Power revealed that "the principal conduit between Britain and the candidate [Obama] has been Lord [Mark] Malloch-Brown, the junior foreign minister, whom Obama came to admire when he was deputy secretary-general of the United Nations. `He was really taken with him. It's a relationship that has persisted and they have talked a number of times since.'"

Two weeks after the articles publication, Samantha Power was forced out of the Obama staff. The public reason for her departure was her remark March 6 that Hillary Clinton is "a monster."
The significance of the Malloch-Brown/Obama connection may not have been widely noticed at the time Ms. Power boasted of it; <b>Lord Malloch Brown was being played as a liberal critic of George W. Bush. But the fact that Malloch Brown on behalf of Britain, and George Soros -- later Malloch Brown's own investment partner -- had created the present government of Georgia and have just organized the recent war provocation against Russia, has put the matter into a lurid new light</b>.

<b>Samantha Power is herself a "human rights mafia" operative of George Soros and his British sponsors.</b> In a 2004 forum, she stated, "My book [A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide, 2003] and my research was utterly unsustainable on the free market. If I hadn't been able to get a grant from George Soros and the Open Society Institute, there is no way that I could have done the kind of investigative reporting that I needed to do...

Obama earned his poor showing
August 20, 2008

RE "SADDLEBACK a comfy fit for McCain" by Alan Schroeder (Op-ed, Aug. 19): John McCain came off better than Barack Obama at Saddleback Church for a simple reason: He answered the questions. Then he added a little something extra (like the POW story) as he felt the need. Obama may have "walked a more cerebral path," but it was inevitably a long and winding one, frequently without ever answering the actual question.

The accusation that McCain was pandering is laughable. McCain gave brief, understandable answers, many of which were almost guaranteed to play well with one group and poorly with others.

Obama practically twisted himself into a pretzel trying to remain in play for everyone, and you could hear the difficulty in his voice as he tried to search for the politically viable words.

In a format designed to give viewers a feel for where the candidates stand, Obama not only didn't tell us, he appeared in many cases to be trying to hide it from us. That's why one could say he lost at Saddleback.

Is Georgia the October Surprise? Obama has to do something dramatic to get back is exposure.

Iran is Oct surprise.
But I don't think it is required anymore. Obama rating is tanking now he had started courting Hillary for VP. Saddleback exposed him, plus yesterday and today's Obama comments against McCain is not going well with average American.
Black civil right leadership is very angry with him. First time Rev. Jesse won't be speaking in convention.
