BJP youth wing plumps for Advani

Neena Vyas

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday embarked upon a country-wide plan to promote L.K. Advani as the next prime minister.

The party’s youth wing has been asked to carry the short, crisp message — ‘Advani for PM’ — to all those below the age of 35, especially the majority of first-time voters between 18 and 25 years.

Amit Thakkar, president of the BJP’s Youth Morcha, displayed stickers for distribution that said “Advani for PM www.lkadvani.in.”

“The idea is to get the young people to go to the website of Mr. Advani. Internet is the preferred tool of communication of the young people,” Mr. Thakkar told reporters.

When party spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy was asked whether the BJP was trying to build an Advani brand, his response was: “Yes, you have got it.”
Huge poster

A huge poster inside the BJP central office here displays Mr. Advani’s picture. It says: “father, mother, brother, sister; Advani for Prime Minister.” A party leader explained the meaning thus: “It means all fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters, in short, all people, want Advani as prime minister.”

Mr. Thakkar said the youth wing planned to organise conventions of youth and first-time voters in as many constituencies as possible ahead of the Lok Sabha election to spread the message. Research done by him showed that, for example, in Mr. Advani’s Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, there were 2,72,000 voters in the age group of 18 to 25 and more than 40 per cent voters would be below 35.

Have you heard any call for to build Ram temple since Congress came into power? But just one year before last General election, Togadia and Ashok Singhal's everyday news conference against BJP and call for Ram temple etc. What happened to those bricks if they remain unused will be curse? Togadia brother joined Congress Party and tried his luck in last Gujarat state election.
We should watch these two guys before election. Last week Ashok Singhal gave his signal , when he attacked BJP. We know Puri Seer is Congress supporter.

Mudy, I spoke to various sangh parivar people
They claim the reason the Ayodhya project is on hold is because hindu
society is afraid of muslim riots
The core issue is getting to power with adequate margin to bring about fundamental changes that are needed. All this Telegraph reports look like psy-ops to demoarlize the supporters.
Without getting power they cant hope to get anything done.
GSub,
I had exchanged couple of emails with all these big-wigs of VHP during Ram-Setu and Gujarat election. They have their own agenda and no vision but fully support Congress party.
Don't forget VHP leaders are old Congress karya karta. Later BJP guys joined them. VHP is not RSS or BJP etc. VHP top guys hate RSS. especially Ashok Singhal

ramana,

Because the real Puri Shankaracharya even recently issued statements of condemnation against the UPA govt, MMS and Sonia:

The Seer charged that Congress led UPA Government at Centre is being patronizing anti-Hindu elements in the country. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi have been making all out effort to appease the minorities, he lambasted.

Minority appeasement is the root cause of all existing problem in the country, he argued.

Yes, at present, VHP is not sold to any1 and certainly not to BJP.
I think, throwing up Shekhawat 1 day and Modi other day, all that they(include industrialists also) are trying to do is to produce fissures in BJP.
There is no doubt that the secularists dominate our media and most Indians do not know both side of the picture due to censorship. To counter liberal Indian media, we have started a website:

BharatRight

This website provides links to nationalist articles published in various newspapers. All the items in website appear as hyperlinks and a summary of article is provided just under the article header. We also pick up liberal opinions and compare with nationalist opinion, so readers can compare both the views and reach their decision. The articles are updated on a daily basis. QUOTENDA and UPA governments - Wimps or worse‏
From: Radha Rajan
Sent: 17 January 2009 04:59AM
To:

From day one after the 26th of November, we have had the american establishment and the british establishment descending on us in droves, including intelligence personnel. I have stated in no uncertain terms that I found this invasion suspicious and downright alarming for us as sovereign nation.

From day one beginning with the day after, Pakistan has made all the right noises, and stuck to its guns, and got not only 11 billion dollars in aid from the US for sponsoring the Mumbai terror attack, but is also all set to get arms and submarines from europe.

India thru Pranab Mukherjee on the other hand has been making all the wrong noises hoping against hope that G parthasarathy would be right that "it is different this time" and america, britain, Caanda, australia, israel would all now bomb Pakistan to outer space.

where is G parthasarathy now and all our power and money-hungry NRIs who were pushing for american friendship, israel friendship?

Pranab Mukherjee from looking suitably strong and menacing is beginning to look and sound increasingly foolish.

Bottomline - Pakistan hasnt conceded a millimeter, we have ;ost everything including national self-dignity and respect. Not to say national sovereignty.

When a government outsources its national security to outsiders, let us be clear, we are happily allowing ourselves to be castrated.

Unfortunately the nation wears the face of the government or the prime minister of the day. Is it wonder we look as tho we have been castrated by an Italian lady, the US President lame-duck of the past and dumb-duck of the future? We have been madee impotent wimps if not something worse altogether.

But lest we forget, the process of castrating us began with the NDA government - when we kept our forces on the borders for close to a year without flattening Pakistan after the parliament attack and we castrated ourselves a little more when we accepted the american condition of NOT CROSSING THE LOC during the Kargil war.

Arun Sourie made brave noises of not just eye for an eye but ear. nose and full face. But if you have the likes of Advani, Jaswant Singh, Vajpayee, manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi and Pranab Mukherjee leading the country, we will be a castrated country, with no courage, no will, no self-respect, dignity or sense of sovereignty.

The BJP began the process of castrating the nation, the Congress has completed the process. That's all. RR
Mulayam & Kalyan in huddle

New Delhi, Jan. 18 (PTI): BJP leader Kalyan Singh today met Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav amid speculation that he might switch sides ahead of the general election.

Kalyan, the BJP’s Mandal-Mandir face and a party vice-president, held talks with Mulayam at an undisclosed location in east Delhi for more than an hour this afternoon, a Samajwadi source said. Party general secretary Amar Singh was also present.

Kalyan has been openly criticising the BJP’s policies and had spoken out in favour of former Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, who caused a furore in the BJP when he said he would contest the general election.

Sources in the BJP said the fear of possible disciplinary action might have prompted Kalyan to go and meet Mulayam.

“His anti-party stand and open criticism for the last six months is reason enough for action against him,” a BJP leader said.

Kalyan is the BJP’s candidate from Etah for the general election.
Does BJP have to change only by attrition by defection, default and death?
Shri L K Advani-Ji launches Urdu section of his site: http://www.lkadvani.in/eng/content/view/703/382/

Since after Hindi and English he has chosen this language, in preference over Indic languages that are more read by Indians than Urdu, like Telugu, Tamil and Bangla, I guess the readership is expected to include the people from the pure lands, or maybe illegal infiltrators that are now voters?
I bet a disproportionate amount of that website's readership will be Hindu morons. What a hack.
BJP says Kalyan kept in loop, partymen 'happy' to see him goQUOTEMany BJP leaders in private, however, said “it would only be a blessing in disguise were Kalyan Singh to leave the party”. “Good riddance,” said a senior leader from the state, even while conceding that “Lodh votes were still with Kalyan”.

Angry party colleagues talk about the fact that even as Kalyan was trying to impress upon the central leadership to remove Ashok Pradhan from Bulandshahr, “he was bargaining with the Samajwadi Party for more seats, after initially being offered Etah, Bulandshahr and Aligarh by them”.

Elections for 2009 are being planned for May per a report from Rediff.

As per our analysis, this election is very likely to be a hung parliament.

Congress/UPA is likely to do well in Andhra (39 seats), Kerala (20 seats), Rajasthan (25 seats), North East (non-Assam only) (8 seats), Delhi (7 seats). That adds up to 99 seats. By approximating that they will win 70% of seats, that's about 68 seats.

BJP/NDA is likely to do well in Karnataka (28 seats), Gujarat (26 seats), Madhya Pradesh (32 seats), Chhattisgarh (10 seats) & Uttarakhand (5 seats). That is a total of 101 seats and approximating that they will win 70% of seats, that's about 70 seats.

Maharashtra (48 seats), Bihar (35), Jharkhand (19 seats), Orissa (20 seats), Assam (10 seats), Haryana (10 seats) are likely to be split at about 45% by each group. That’s a total of 142 seats. That’s about 64 seats each.

That gives UPA/Congress 120-140 seats and NDA/BJP about 130-150 seats. Each of these groups are likely to get a few more seats in states like UP, West Bengal, J&K etc.. Most likely, each of the 2 groups will not cross 200 seats.

Mayavati is likely to get anywhere 30-50 seats in UP, and she may become the king (or is it queen) maker.

Does anybody know why BJP leadership humiliated Kalyan Singh in UP?
UP is becoming two dominant party state that are non-Congress, non-BJP as in Tamilnadu and West Bengal.
The BJP leadership did not like Shri Kalyan Singh’s efforts in promoting a lady acquaintance by the name of Ms. Kusum Rai presently a BJP MP of the Rajya Sabha and also his effort to promote his son. Further, they feel that his staying in the party will not change the election prospects of the BJP in the State. As such there was no need to yield to the demands of Shri Kalyan Singh.
In fact, the events in Lucknow should not be seen in isolation, it is effect of the resentment and discontent amongst a section of the party as was earlier evident in Rajasthan. A large number of dissidents are expected to fight the election against the official BJP candidates. In UP the real fight will be between the BSP and the SP with the BJP and Congress providing the role of supporting artists.
