Swamy G, any reason why Eenadu and ETV are in your list? The christian terrorists are/were trying to destroy this pro-Hindu media outlet (as it was generally considered to be at least a couple of years ago). Did Eenadu and ETV make your list because you think they've already been infiltrated by the christo poison?

<!--QuoteBegin-Husky+Nov 29 2008, 11:28 AM-->QUOTE(Husky @ Nov 29 2008, 11:28 AM)<!--QuoteEBegin--><!--QuoteBegin--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Why EENADU & ETV is under siege in AP ?</b>
IntelliBriefs has been watching Eenadu and ETV rather closely for past few months , we wonder how most of Indian intellectuals have missed to recognise the true intent of frontal assault on this group . <b>Our sources in Andhra Pradesh say the attack "has been sponsored by Christian groups ". It is patently obvious for many that this group is an 'identified Hindu' media group and thrived under Telugu Desam rule ,became a household name in Andhra Pradesh. </b>

Both Eenadu and ETV project Tirumala Lord Venkateswara and Hindu Puranas in a very positive light with mega budget serials. Eenadu actively, regularly exposes misdeeds of Hindu Endowments Department involving the congress goons. Brahmotsavams of Tirumala, Pushkarams, Dussera, Deepavali, Sankranthi etc., get very prominent coverage in the front pages. So also every day Hindu events and culture are given huge prominence. They are also vocal critics of the Gandhi family and Congress throughout their existence - Eenadu since 1974 and ETV since 90's. Reliable source say "this, obviously, is not at all to the liking of the church in AP, Sonia & co." , pointing finger at Congress effort to scuttle anything that is anti-congress and anti-communism , "this is a congress-Communist joint-venture to attack hindu icons and institutions" .

<b>Shocking dimension has emerged in India </b>

Also almost all mainstream TV channels show programmes that ridicule, mistify, vilify or challenge Hindu way of life and it's religious icons. This being so, one solitary Newsgroup carrying Hindu way of life in such big profile is not to be tolerated, what with 'power' in both centre and the state. Eenadu Chairman's son, Mr.Suman takes very keen interest in promoting bhakthi cassettes and videos selling them in big numbers , "just like Gulshan Kumar of TIPS who was murdered by sullas", said a radical hindu group leader . <b>"When government is busy demolishing and diverting Mandir monies in a big way, will xians allow one Hindu media baron to get away ..... no way., hence YSR & co is in full battle cry on Mr.Ramoji Rao's media and financial empire." said a source . They couldn't browbeat him, hence the demolition of Margadarsi Finance, Ramoji Film City, Margadarsi Chits using GOs, RBI pressure and physical attacks on the Eenadu organs. A hindu leader said "I feel we shouldn't be mute to this day light carnage of Hinduism's biggest supporting Media Group by the church."</b>

In his assessment on the EENADU issue , reknowned scholar Dr.N.S.Rajaram projected a wider geopolitical dimension to the issue . He told IntelliBriefs this morning from Bangalore that <b>"all this is part of a concerted attack on Hindu interests and institutions, organized by Christian groups and supported by the Congress."</b> Recollecting his past alerts issued to the Indian intelligentia and patriotic groups he slammed Sonia and her coterie " People, including those who should know better, ridiculed me when I said a couple of years ago that the Church with its peculiar historical sense see Sonia Gandhi in the same light as Constantine, who by his hospitality to early Christianity to take over the Roman Empire."

He even cited historical similarities "to those who know history, the present conflict has an early similarity to the 4th century. Christians were less than 4 percent in the Roman Empire, by they managed to seize control."<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->About "Ramoji is reported to be close to Chandra Babu Naidu and supported of Telugu Desam Party."
The first comment on the intellibriefs page does say:
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Ramoji Rao was well know in andhra till few years back as a atheist ,who used to show himself as communist supporter(tactical & selfish end only ) ,castist (as a king maker behind NT Rama Rao ), who ammased all his wealth by this politics . ( who was forefront to give space to all enemy's of Hindu's on all Hindu issues ) . Because of his sons now we see minimum hindu identity support in their channel's nowadays<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I would like experts to consider this.

N. Ram rose to limelight only after the Bofors scandal. The whole thing was spearheaded by N Ram. that resulted in the fall of Rajiv Gandhi.

Bodhji, N Ram was a bystander hogging media, the real scoop was done by his associate Chitra something (need to google this). She left his company on not so amicable terms if I'm not mistaken. Must have seen the 'naxal' in that N.

Eenadu is too important of an entity to miss from an influential list of media entities from Andhra Pradesh.

Bodhi: I remember one Chitra Subramanian who was writing several of the reports at that time. I wonder what happened to her. My next round will start from Tamil Nadu. The TV networks in TN are plenty.

All: I am sure there are tonnes of newspapers, magazines and media personalities. But any important ones that you feel should make it to the list?

There is no doubt that NDTV is highly left of center as the entire family is communist.
Unfortunately, secularists dominate our media and most Indians do not know both side of the picture due to censorship. To counter liberal Indian media, we have started a website:

www.bharatright.com

This website provides links to nationalist articles published in various newspapers. All the items in website appear as hyperlinks and a summary of article is provided just under the article header. We also pick up liberal opinions and compare with nationalist opinion, so readers can compare both the views and reach their decision. The articles are updated on a daily basis. The headline news stories are updated every 30 minutes.

SwamyG, there used to be show on PBS called Connections by james Burke. Your lists remind me of his show. BTW am still searching for software to implement your lists.

From my web searches, what is needed is java powered entity relationship software. Its preferable if there are pre-exisiting templates to depict this and if they can be loaded as graphics in a web page.

muckety.com has the right kind of gizmo we like.

try this muckety page on how to do it yourself using their software!

Ramana:
Muckety has 3 journalists as its founders, and I assume they have full time staff - journalism and technology to get their maps out. Look at their sources.

Though the connections appear to be far and wide, it appears the World of Power & Influence is pretty small when compared to the global population. A media personality starts somewhere small, but does lot of career climbing and moves around. If one digs deeper, it is clear they are well connected to begin with.

For example, there is this Prayaag Akbar who writes articles in Outlook and elsewhere. Based on Wiki information, M.J.Akbar has a son called Prayaag (possibly named after M.J.'s grandfather), but there is nothing on the net yet to connect MJ and him. I almost 99% sure they are connected. Same goes for MJ's daughter. There is a legal counsel in the Sun Group (based in N.Delhi) who has the same name as MJ's daughter (Mukulika), but no connection exists out in Web. I would be surprised if my suspicion is not correct.

The nexus between Politician, Media, Industrialist, NGO etc is very scary. And when they fight between themselves, we aam aadmi are left to sit and watch and judge them. How many people are really wedded to ideology and how many people are doing what they are doing because that is the World they live in. Once having entered it, they are stuck there for life. Looks like poaching employees from each other is becoming common practice.

<b>anybody attend this conference or have the materials from it?</b>
jan 16th, 2009

i had a query from someone about <b>this typical JNU red-white-green conference.</b> anybody have the proceedings, or personal notes from attending it? after all, <b>thsi was funded by the indian government,</b> so the material must be available in the public domain somewhere.

the usual JNU suspects are all there, along with some sepoys from the US and some white guys thrown in as well, presumably sent by the vatican.

now what's a nice person like <b>madhu kishwar </b>doing in the midst of these rogues? or has she, gulp!, converted, too?
(That or - more likely - bought. In Sri Lanka too, the christos keep buying all the people speaking in public who appear remotely dissenting, so that they'll speak for christoism instead.)

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Tom Vadakkan: Overused broom or vacuum cleaner?</b>
25/01/2009 04:27:12

Pioneer News Service | Thirssur

What is the difference between a broom and a vacuum cleaner? As far as sane persons are concerned, a vacuum cleaner is something more than a mechanised broom. But in the political scene of Thrissur, cultural capital of Kerala, a broom or vacuum cleaner could refer to Tom Vadakkan, convener of the media cell of the All-India Congress Committee.

As an intense battle was on in the Kerala unit of the Congress party over how many seats each of the several groups in the party would bet to contest in the coming Lok Sabha election, and who all could be cleared for candidature, the question of brooms contesting polls came up in Thrissur from the mouth of none other than CN Balakrishnan, District Congress Committee president and veteran leader.

Balakrishnan, known simply as CN to his friends and foes alike, fired a salvo right at Tom Vadakkan, who had reportedly been spending buckets of money here for the past five years with the singular objective of representing Thrissur in the Lok Sabha by calling him an overused broom (Kuttichool), though indirectly. Vadakkan responded saying he was not an overused broom but a vacuum cleaner.

Asked about the reports of Tom Vadakkan coming all the way down from the AICC office in Delhi to contest the Thrissur Lok Sabha seat, CN pointed out to newsmen the other day that Defence Minister and Congress Working Committee member AK Antony had already promised that no Kuttichools would be given tickets in the coming election.

He quoted Antony as saying that the yardstick for candidature this time would be personal integrity and winnability, implying that Vadakkan might not have any of these qualifications. CN, once known as a close confidante of veteran leader K Karunakaran, is said to harbour no passion for exaggerated popularity and Malayalees who spoke Manglish, a kind of language which is neither Malayalam nor English.

Thrissur is a place where the Congress is divided into several camps, and CN’s comment evoked immediate response from the loyalists of Tom Vadakkan. DCC general secretary PS Srinivasan was furious when he said nobody expected CN, a leader who had several decades of his life to the Congress party, should not have spoken so cheaply.

He said that Balakrishnan’s arrogance had grown several times when the party was forced to re-appoint him as president of the district unit after eight months of work without a head. “This arrogance has made him bold enough to say whatever he feels is right,” adding that they would approach the central leadership against such impertinence.

The battle suddenly became obvious and affected party programmes, with a pre-scheduled State-wide siege on district collectorates to protest the LDF Government’s policies becoming a mere dharna in Thrissur. CN, who inaugurated the programme, said they had mellowed the protest as the Congressmen in Thrissur believed in peaceful forms of protest which Mahatma Gandhi had adopted to win freedom for the country from the British.

Vadakkan, who had already done all the liaison works to ensure the Thrissur seat for him, was late by a day to reach here, but he lost no time in launching the counter-attack on CN. In his Malayalam, over-laced with English, he met newsmen on Saturday while CN went around more substantial political exercise of meeting middle and lower level leaders.

The AICC media cell convener did not forget to threaten the veteran leader saying disciplinary action against the Thrissur leader was quite possible as he had used bad word against him. Vadakkan said some people from outside Thrissur, who were interested in the Thrissur seat, were behind the Kuttichool (overused broom) qualifier used against him.

Proving that he was not good at use of language, Vadakkan told newsmen, “I am not a Kuttichool but a vacuum cleaner, determined to clean up Thrissur,” the meaning of which escaped even his own loyalists. “I have come here to clean this place, no? So that s what I am going to do,” he said.

<b>Vadakkan said that nobody could prevent him from contesting the Thrissur seat, of course, provided the high command permitted him.</b> “The people behind this Kuttichool controversy are from outside Thrissur. I am a Thrissurian, and our family has been here for the past one hundred years,” he claimed.

<b>Later, he visited Mar Andrews Thazahath, Archbishop, Roman Catholic Church, known as the religious strongman of central Kerala, causing instant apprehensions among the Vadakkan-loyalists that there could now be a religious in the political battle of Thrissur.</b><!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
