Some novel anyway. While I tend to stick to the way his name is in MBh, does Jaya refer to his name as Suyodhana?

Do you mean the core of Mahabharata called Jaya attributed to Vyasa?

I am not sure about that but the name Suyodhana is used extensively in several Telugu abridged Mahabharata's I have come across.

"Su" (eg: suvaasana for good smell) being Sanskrit for good whereas "Dur" (eg: durvaasana for bad smell) is used to indicate bad.

In fact I think that was the real name but later distorted to Duryodhana to indicate his bad character. I doubt any parent would name their kid as "bad".

I just remembered that Suyodhana as a grey character was portrayed in Dana Veera Soora Karna but the central focus in that movie was Karna.

When it comes to the Tamil film industry its truly a hidden gem in Indian cinematography. I believe modern Tamil films with Telugu films are making a run to out do bollywood hindi films especially with the slow closing of careers from people such as Amitabh Bachchan. I still believe when it comes to old Indian films Bengalis reign rajah. With all that said Tamil films are on a rise in looking very promising with actors such as Dhanush.

Vazhalakku Enn (2012)

Aadukalam (2011)

Paradesi (2013)
