Christian Subversion And Missionary Activities - 6

The Man who came to destroy Hinduism – 1
The Man who came to destroy Hinduism – 2[/quote]

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->The Man who came to destroy Hinduism – 1

On Jan 15, 1823, Jean-Antoine Dubois, a French-Catholic missionary, who spent time in Pondicherry, Madras Presidency and Mysore left India for Paris, never to return again. During his time in India, he dressed like a native and preached the Gospel, but after 30 years in India, he was convinced that it was next to impossible to convert Indians.

But seven years later, on May 27th, 1830, a Scottish missionary arrived in Calcutta and his goal was to “prepare a mine which should one day explode beneath the very citadel of Hinduism.” This 24 year thought that the methods of other missionaries, like directly appealing Hindus to renounce their faith, would do nothing but anger the natives. Instead he claimed to have found a unique way to destroy Hinduism in a peaceful manner.
To understand how Alexander Duff came up with his recipe, we need to understand the India of 1830s.

  1. The language of the Government was Persian and there were a few educational institutions which taught Arabic and Sanskrit. The learned people spoke these Oriental languages and not English.
  2. Duff arrived at a time when there was a controversy in British India over the language to be used for Indian higher education. On the one side there were the British Orientalists who wanted to use Sanskrit, Persian and Arabic and on the other side there were the Anglicists who had scorn for Oriental languages and Indian culture and wanted to enforce English
  3. The missionary activities were not very successful. The missionary technique consisted of standing in the street corner and preaching which fetched an occasional convert or two, but nothing of great significance. Even in South India, where there were more converts, the converts came from the out castes; the Hindu masses remained unaffected.

Duff would take all these three ingredients to come up with a winning formula, which was eventually endorsed by the Lord himself – I mean Lord Macaulay. Looking back, the formula was simple.

  1. Provide English education for the masses
  2. Make Bible studies an integral part of this education
  3. Be non-apologetic about teaching Christianity.

Thus he would teach Western history, philosophy, and natural sciences and as per the plan Hindus seeing irrationality in their religion would discard their faith voluntarily. But this was tricky business. It was possible that a Hindu who had left Hinduism due to Western education could become agnostic. But Duff would fill that spiritual vacuum with the Christian view of life.

Duff was very clear about what Christian education meant: it was not secular education with some Biblical studies thrown in. For him Christianity contained all knowledge and his goal was to teach with Christianity revelation at the center.

When Duff first proposed this method, veteran missionaries did not find it appealing. Still he went ahead without any government support. Bengalis did not mind an English school, but had reservations about an English school where Bible was an important subject. This reservation made it difficult for Duff to get started; he could not even find a building to start his classes.

One Indian who helped get Duff was Raja Ram Mohan Roy. Mohan Roy who worked with Lord William Bentinck in suppressing sati and who believed that the pure faith of the vedas were corrupted by various cults had founded Brahma Samaj to teach the worship of one God. Ram Mohan Roy provided Duff with a hall as well as his first students. When parents learned that Bible was being taught there, they were reluctant to send their kids, but Ram Mohan Roy helped there as well. On the first day of school, Ram Mohan Roy, who had three more years to live, calmed the students who refused to read the Bible and appeared daily for the Bible class.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Ven you are right… apparently as i trace my own family history my forefathers who lived along the coastal regions embraced Christianity for material favours (milk powder and bread)… Post independence the systems left behind by the British (schools and colleges) nurtured people like me. My son is very different he has relinquished all the family bondages and thinks on his own. One of the many things the Christian church is grappling with is post modernism particularly in the Indian Context…
You may be right about people being paid money for attending church, I have heard of it too – I find it extremely obnoxious and foolish.

So Ven let me ask you a question? Did I choose to be born as a Christian or did you have a choice of being a Hindu? You need to dig deep and find out – not all Christians are for conversion or proseletyzation.

You got me wrong, I only saying that market mechanizations have consumed a large indian population that they are spurning our culture and are getting Americanized. One might attribute it to the phenomena of Globalization.

Any thought, if needs to do a work in a human being need emotional arousal and attentional focus in short it has to do with the heart.

Most of the reactions that I read comes out of anger and disgust. If India has build institutions and been a source of religions that has survived history its certainly not through the methods of force and violence. Its all done through love, and that has been our preoccupation over the ages and that is our domain of strength.

Snuffing out lives to kill a thought has never worked and will never work, regardless of the thought being noble or ignoble.

For most of my life as a Christian I was under the impression that the express job for any Christian is to convert or to redirect the ‘friends from the other faith’ to accept the Christian point of view. There are many who work on this mandate, I guess you should appreciate that its the belief system and the teaching of the religion that makes a man do what he is actually doing. We see the violence perpetuated by the Islamic militants and we should never make the mistake of judging every follower of islam as a man who is capable of indulging in violence.

Personally Iam converted to a more Indian system now, I see the Indian culture from a more objective view point not with the Christian tinted glasses. I have made many startling discoveries ever since. One of the major finding is that the Hindu’s have not understood their own heritage and culture. Believe, as a teacher teaching children with learning difficulties, I tell the parents to read the scriptures (Gita) to the children, and surprisingly they find it humorous. I even take Gita Classes much against the displeasure of my Christian bretheren, who dont seem to understand me. I am even planning to do a Ph D thesis on the Saiviate tradition. This I believe does not make me a less christian in anyway, I still follow Christ.

What pains me from the comments is the reaction, now I dont blame those who made these comments… I know the provocation. But let us cast this aside and seriously engage in issues that are likely to set back our nation. I really do not believe that a YSR or Sonia can work on converting people to Christianity. Believe me its not that simple, its got to do with the heart not with some change of name or religion in the gazette.

God Smashes Indian Chandrayaan Satellite Probe, Moon Attempts

Indian Space mission failed, God made them lose satelliteNew Delhi, India – India forced to end moon mission after it loses contact with satellite probe…

The curry-scented Hindu nation of India had space ambitions and God has struck them all down!

Moments ago, India’s space agency was forced to end its $82 million mission to our moon. Their plan was to send their unmanned probe, the Chandrayaan I craft, to hover the moon’s surface to map it out. After having it mapped, the nation planned to send astronauts to walk upon our moon, claimed by our Christian scientist Neil Armstrong years ago.

The Indian’s suspicious moon interest came to a halt two days ago, as their shocked scientists suddenly lost contact with the probe. Their sandal feet scurried with panic all through the Indian Space Research Organization, pulling their levers and frantically pushing buttons to no avail. They were unable to restore communications, said S.K. Shivkumar, the director for their sinful space network.

“The mission has been terminated,” Shivkumar stated in the telephone interview, adding computers on the craft had “mysteriously” failed.

Friends, God officially gave the moon to America during the 1960s. While the Soviets were busy building weapons of destruction and the Indians being racist to those of a lower caste, the benevolent America set its sights on more noble causes such as exploring the heavens themselves.

You need special permission to dare walk in the heavens, and it is clear that God has, waved his hands to block the radio signals and fray the computer wires in Indians vile space probe.

How dare they have the nerve to think they can explore space, when they don’t even have the decency to confess our Lord as their savior. They still worship cows and the Sun, so their society still has far to socially develop before they think they are ready to travel the stars.

Sadly, the Indians are hard-headed and did not take heed to this act of God. Their space agency announced they will build a Chandrayaan 2 (means Moon Craft 2 in American) to try a new moon mission in 2012, when they plan to put a rover upon the surface of our moon. Did they even contact Washington D.C. to ask permission to do these things?

If that’s not bad enough, India also plans to land an orbiter on Mars within 4 to 6 years. Only weeks ago, God struck down the Indian Ocean with a great tsunami and earthquake. Just before that, the Earth of India opened up and swallowed entire villages for practicing pagan third world religions.

Savage Indians Worship Gay Color Changing Frog as ‘God’

It is no secret that India is a very backwards country where The Plague still exists and people are known for taking monthly baths in filthy curry scented rivers. Even in the upper rungs of their prejudice caste system, the women still adorn their heads with silly dots as they fall to worship cows as their Lord and Savior.

My heart truly goes out to this savage land that now numbers over 1 billion gypsies, but there is simply no offense for their latest act of pagan foolishness. These people have now claimed that a rainbow colored gay frog is their ‘god’.

According to in-depth coverage from several hard-hitting sources, the Indians have ‘discovered’ a native frog that ‘magically’ changes its colors.

One minute it can be blue. The next yellow, red or muave. Such frequent changing in colors is very typical of homosexuals and their love of perverting the meaning of rainbow patterns.

The ‘god’ frog was reportedly discovered by an Indian gentleman named Reji Kumar. When it was first discovered, observers said it ‘was bright white, sparkling like the diamond encrusted sequin adorning an effeminate piano player’.

Now tends of thousand Indians make a pilgramage to Reji’s home every day, so they may fall prostrate before this false god and worship its homosexual pride skin show.

To a learned observer, such as a Christian theologian or zoologist, this frog would be quickly recognized as a ploy of Satan, much like Ida the Lemur monkey.

Sorry, my Indian friend, but in true Christianity there is no caste system in the brotherhood of Christ. Have you not read the New Testament?
<b>
The only thing that’s low are those whose hearts belong to false gods and idols? How can a mission to the Moon be to the glory of God if a country is known for worshiping 8-legged false idols and cows?</b>

Nasrani, I truly believe India can be a valuable asset to America’s exploration of space, but first, the land must develop socially. It must get over its superstitious ways and accept the true master of physics, God. God created the heavens and the Earth, not Vishnu or Shiva.

Until Indian currency reads In God We Trust and every day the bright school children proudly pledge allegiance to their one nation, under God and America’s guidance, will you be able to safely enter the heavens with our best scientific minds. Hopefully that clears everything up and why God had to set India’s noble space ambitions, all until their hearts are truly ready.

How To Convert A Godless Hindu

The plague country of India is a lesser society where the people number in the billions and worship a cow. They have filled all their God-given rivers with curry scented filth and stockpile dangerous weapons of mass destruction without American permission.

Men in this country walk around in gaudy gold earrings and bracelets, taking time to dollop warpaint upon their faces for weird ceremonies. The women dot their foreheads and think it pleases their false Hindu god Buddha Vishnu.

My friends, do not get me wrong. The people of India are beautiful God’s creations and have great potential, they just need to be shown the way. They already help their American friends by giving us cheap call-center labor and making a strong stand against terror enabled Arab nations like Pakistan.

The least we can do in return for these people is introduce them to Christ. With the love of Christ in their hearts, these people will be better suited to understand American freedom and lifestyle, and follow our superior example in how to live life.

In the following video, our youth teaches how to convert a poor girl who was victimized by Hindu indoctrination. Please have your women and children join in watching this video, so they can see and understand how to minister to those possessed by the demons of false religions. Amen.

Angels Toss Indian Elephant Into A Sinkhole, Then God Earthquakes Indian Ocean

Pagan sin covers Indian Hindus like stink on curry; it burns the nostrils of God and he has finally had enough.

In an impressive display of wrath, God caused an earthquake that shook the Indian Ocean down to its roots. If you analyze the, geological earthquake survey map I have created, you can clearly see the epicenter of God’s wrath upon India.

It is no coincidence that this Earthquake took place where it did. India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Andaman Islands, Indonesia, Sri Lanka: these are all sinner countries that do not worship Christ, speak jabber tongues and bow to false gods.

When you line them all up on the map, notice how they form a concentric circle of sin, and look what took place right in the middle of their filthy lifestyles!

My friends, India and her sin soaked neighbors are in danger. Satan freely travels their lands and no one there has Christ in their heart.

Our Lord tries to warn this lesser culture to quit their wicked ways. He sends his warnings via weather, plague and even daily life. Just yesterday, he ordered several angels to throw a mighty elephant into a sinkhole. Reports from bewildered savages in the village detail how they were worshiping the beast, when it suddenly flew into the air and then landed miles away, buried in a sinkhole. You can see it crying if you look closely.

In the Bible God warned everyone that he does not tolerate the worship of false gods. He makes it clear.

Yet what do these nations do? They encrust their bodies with all sorts of jewels and use red markers to dot foreheads, and then go out and face Eest worship immoral Vishnu, cows and even an elephant.

God sees all these sins and it is abomination!

Let us pray these Godless Asiatics turn from their wicked ways, or next time our Heavenly Father may rain meteors and greater plagues upon their lands and just wipe them off of his Earth.

Pastor arrested for raping inmate of church shelter

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->CHENNAI: A 60-year-old pastor, who is running a charitable trust in a village near Minjur in Tiruvallur district, 55 km from Chennai, was
arrested for raping a 20-year-old woman. The woman, an orphan, was staying in a shelter on the church premises. Police are inquiring into the probability of the pastor sexually abusing the children staying in the orphanage.

Police said inquiries had revealed that the pastor, Sadhu Immanuel, had sexually assaulted another 22-year-old woman staying in the same shelter and had taken her to a private hospital in Red Hills for abortion six months ago. “Whenever his family was away, Immanuel used to ask the girls to clean his house and then sexually assault them. He used to do this inside the church too. We have rescued eight girls and two boys from the home,” Tiruvallur superintendent of police MC Sarangan told TOI.
Immanuel has been running the Satyam Charitable Trust and a church at Vellur village for the past 25 years.

The crime came to light when Radhika (name changed), who left eight years ago after being abused, returned to the orphanage, where the inmates narrated their tales of horror. Even after leaving the orphanage, Radhika used to make regular visits to distribute food to the inmates. During her latest visit, two girls told her that Immanuel was abusing them for the past two years.

Radhika alerted an NGO, Just Trust, and approached a bi-weekly magazine, which did a sting operation. Following this, the district collector ordered an inspection of the home. <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

"<b>The Catholic Church is planning to purchase 10,000 acres [approx. 24 sq km] of land in the Konkan area on the Karnataka-Maharashtra border to build an exclusive Catholic township</b>, a matter of discussion in Church circles in recent years. This was formally proposed in the recent Assembly of CLSMCC at Kochi on 15 August, and the response was very positive. This was identified by the council as "second migration." The first migration took place between 1920 and 1960 wherein Kottayam-based Christians occupied the revenue and forest lands of Northern Kerala and Southern Karnataka.

V.C. Sebastian, secretary of CLSMCC, said "The migration from Travancore [Kottayam] to Malabar played a major role in the growth of Syro-Malabar Church, but now it is in saturation. And availability of land is diminishing day by day in Kerala. At the same time there are places where unutilized fertile land still available."

According to church sources, the proposal will be fruitful by 2030 [The New Indian Express, Kochi, 17 August 2009]. The land will be in the name of a registered society. <b>If the Church is successful to build a hundred such colonies in the near future, widespread over India, the Church can decide the economic destiny of India.</b>"

Excerpts from: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090830/ts_al..._20090830030522

Jaycee Lee Dugard was discovered on Wednesday, nearly two decades after the blonde schoolgirl was snatched outside her home in 1991, when she was just 11.

She had been confined in a makeshift prison of sheds and tents in what police have described as a "backyard within a backyard" at Garrido's home in Antioch, around 50 miles (80 kilometers) east of San Francisco.

On Saturday, police were searching the house in relation to a series of prostitute killings in the 1990s, as other bodies had been found close to where Garrido worked, the San Francisco Chronicle said.

On Thursday, police revealed that Garrido, a [/B]convicted rapist and registered sex offender, had abused Dugard, now 29, and fathered her two daughters, now aged 15 and 11, who had also been kept in the compound.
(Remind anyone of Josef Fritzl? No, don't click on it. Watched a German-made documentary on him not too long ago. Ctrl-z)

......
Dugard was found after police reported Garrido acting suspiciously at the University of California, Berkeley, where with two young girls he was trying to hand out religious literature propounding claims he could channel the voice of God.

The pale, blond girls were wearing drab sun dresses, "like 'Little House on the Prairie' meets robots," university security officer Allison Jacobs told a press conference Friday.

"The younger daughter was staring directly at me, as if she was looking into my soul, with this eerie smile on her face," Jacobs said. "I just got a weird, uneasy feeling."

Garrido apparently boasted to the campus officers: "I'm so proud of my girls. They don't know any curse words. They don't know anything bad about the world."

Photos released by El Dorado police show Phillip and Nancy Garrido. Questions mounted about how Garrido was allegedly able to hide a girl for 18 years and the two children she bore him, despite warnings from neighbors of something amiss.

http://www.organiser.org/dynamic/modules.p...pid=308&page=30

    September 13 2009

<b>Hindus in Delhi now need licence before performing pooja or staging Ramlila. According to the latest directives issued by the Licensing Department of Delhi police it is mandatory to get a licence for performing pooja from a competent authority in Delhi.</b> Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad (IVHP) strongly opposed the directives and said they are violation of the fundamental rights. IVHP general secretary Shri Satyendra Mohan said such directives are to hamper Hindu festivals. He said such directives were not issued even by the Mughal rulers Tughlaq and Aurangjeb. How Hindus could be stopped performing pooja in the independent country.
(What independent country?)

<b>Now a large number of Durga Pooja and Ramlila Committees are forced to withdraw their planning of performing pooja or organising Ramlila this year due to the complicated and expensive procedure of getting the licence. The directive published in many national dailies recently says one has to make an affidavit and submit No Objection Certificate from Local Police, DDA, Traffic Police, Chief Fire Officer, Electricity Inspector, Entertainment Tax Officer, etc. The security has to be arranged by pooja committees from their own sources and it should not be less than the airport security in any manner.</b> They have to install CCTV cameras with a 24-hour watching security personnel, DFMDs (security frames), trained male as well as female security guards with metal detectors, fire tender and ambulance should be kept ready for 24 hours. Many Ramleela Committees show only Ramayan TV serial made by the late Ramanand Sagar on a big screen during this period. <b>Such committees need certificate from the film censer board and have to deposit Rs. 500/- per day in addition to many more formalities.</b>

<b>Woman alleges torture by IPS officer-husband</b>
By R Guhambika @ www.expressbuzz.com

CHENNAI: The irony cannot be more striking: A self-respect marriage that never took off and the woman now accusing her husband, an IPS officer, of “<b>cheating, co-habitation caused deceitfully inducing belief of lawful marriage, marriage ceremony fraudulently gone through without lawful marriage, dowry harassment, criminal intimidation etc.”</b>

Within two months into wedded life, T Sharmila, a former bank officer, was allegedly told by her husband S R Samuel, Commandant, 13th Battalion, Indian Reserve Police, Jammu, that she was not his “legally wedded wife and that ours was a sham ceremony to please his parents and to assuage his sexual urges.”

In her nine-page complaint to the City Police Commissioner T Rajendran on Monday, Sharmila said she was a Hindu Yadav by caste, and married Samuel, a Christian Yadav,<b> in a self-respect marriage ceremony on February 2 only after she was entirely convinced by the man himself, his parents and friends that he had “reconverted to Hinduism and was a staunch Hindu and a vegetarian.”</b>

Even during the lavish marriage ceremony, conducted in the presence of Minister for Slum Clearance Subha Thangavelu, <b>the bridegroom acted like a Hindu, wearing vibhuthi and kungumam on his forehead, she said.</b>

She was soon in for a nasty surprise. The most shocking discovery was on the wedding night itself, when she found that he was “bald and wore a wig”. Weeks of ill-treatment followed - at his house in his native town, Paramakudi, his close friend’s house in Madurai and later at Leh, she alleged.

But she got the greatest shock when she heard him confess on April 13 that he had married her at the insistence of his parents and that he had not converted to Hinduism and had opted for a self-respect ceremony because it was only legally valid between Hindus. Since he remained a Christian, she was not his legally wedded wife and the child she was carrying was also illegitimate. “A self-respect marriage is legally valid only if it is between Hindus,” Sharmila’s lawyer and civil rights activist Sudha Ramalingam told Express.

“Samuel told her that he was a Hindu and, hence, Sharmila thought she was his legally married wife. But he cheated her,” she said. “Samuel was already married and divorced. He was bald and was probably not getting any marriage proposals. Hence, his parents could have come up with this idea of getting him married to Sharmila,” she added.

<b>Sharmila alleged that her husband, his family and friend claimed they were close to ministers, MPs and a top police official and threatened to implicate her and her family in grave offences.</b> Asked about the police chief’s response, the lawyer said he had assured them of all help and forwarded the petition to Assistant Commissioner (Anti-Dowry Cell) Vimala. Denying all charges, Samuel said he had filed a divorce petition in the family court and would abide by the court’s decision.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Christian Sadhus and Sastris: shameless conversion games</b>
02/09/2009 13:58:35  HARAN. B.R

<b>Conversion as motive</b>

It is an open secret that the foremost aim of the Church is to spread Christianity throughout the world and establish its rule. Yet an Indian government led by a ‘Hindu’ party welcomed Pope John Paul II as a State Guest and allowed him to give a clarion call for evangelization of India on this sacred Hindu Bhumi.

With the advent of Republican Party rule, the US government under George Bush allotted millions of dollars for this purpose through the Joshua Projects. Simultaneously, with the advent of the Congress-led UPA government with Sonia Gandhi as Chairperson, conversions have become rampant, as evidenced by an alarming increase in the planting of churches across the country totally disproportionate to the population of Christians, and the brazen implementation of ‘inculturation’ techniques.

Conversion activities have increased manifold in the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, the former ruled by the Congress and led by a Christian Chief Minister, and the later ruled by an atheist (read anti-Hindu) Dravidian-racist party. The deficient growth of Hindu organizations and lack of public awareness of the danger of conversions has helped the growth of churches in these states.
(Actually, read: DMK=cryptochristist)

Christian missionaries, who were concentrating on the poor and downtrodden sections, have now started focusing on the upper echelons of society. The employees in media houses, workers in cinema and small-screen industries, and Hindus working in Christian institutions have become vulnerable to conversion attempts. <b>Of late, special attention is being shown to the Brahmin community.

Planting a Church near an ancient Temple and focus on Brahmins</b>

Thiruvanmiyur is a beautiful place in Chennai, on the East Coast Road leading up to the southern tip of Tamil Nadu.[/B] Thiruvanmiyur is historically significant as the place where Vanmiki Maharishi (the Valmiki of Ramayana fame) did penance and worshipped Bhagwan Shiva; hence the name Thiruvanmikiyur (Thiru-Sri; Vanmiki, Oor-place), which later became Thiruvanmiyur. Shiva, worshipped by Valmiki, blesses the people from his magnificent and ancient Sri Marundeeswarar Temple. There is also a small temple for Maharishi Vanmiki opposite (slightly diagonal) to the Shiva Temple; both stand as testimonies to the ancient history of this sacred place.

Now, within hundred yards of the Shiva Temple, stands a huge ‘Advent Church’ which was started as a small prayer house just three years ago. On 5 August 2009, two digital banners, placed just above the compound wall of the Church, attracted the attention of passers by. <b>They read, “Christian Brahmin Seva Samiti - First Year Anniversary” and announced, “Kathaakaalakshebam (Religious discourse) by Pujya Sri Bhagavathar Vedanayaga Saastrigal on Saturday 8 August evening by 5 pm – Entry free.” </b>

Though churches claim they don’t practice casteism, the reality is exactly the opposite, as evidenced by conflicts between various castes within Christianity in various places. In fact, when evangelists convert gullible Hindus, especially Scheduled Castes, they always deceive them saying, “All are equal in the eyes of Jesus.” But once the conversion is over, the evangelists close their eyes and the converted group finds no change except in the god and the pattern of worship. Still, the “Christian-Brahmin” Samiti was a real shocker as Brahmins converting is a rare phenomenon.

Brahmins were, are and will always be a “Prize Catch” for Christian evangelists. For them, converting even a single Brahmin is a great achievement. A converted Brahmin becomes a great asset, for with one Brahmin convert they would be able to easily convert a hundred non-Brahmins.
Sou desu ka????? NOT. A converted "brahmin" is by definition a moron and not a Brahmana. So what's the point? There are morons in every Hindu community and they are the ones who end up converting.
Of late, Christian missionaries have started targeting the Brahmin community, and in the last four or five years, they have been able to achieve some gains.

Although the <b>‘Christian Brahmin Seva Samiti’</b> seems to be new, the man behind this dubious organization, ‘Sadhu Chellappaa’ is a notorious figure, whose modus operandi is distortion of Hindu scriptures to advance Christianity. Before going into the happenings in Thiruvanmiyur, it would be better to have a complete picture about this imposter who masquerades as a sadhu, wearing saffron robes.

<b>Saffron attired evangelist masquerading as Sadhu </b>

Born in a Hindu family and raised in and around a temple, Chellappaa <b>claims to have complete knowledge of the Vedas, Upanishads, Ithihasas and Puranas.</b>  <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->  <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->  <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->  <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo--> As the temple priests and other scholars could not clarify his doubts on some questions, one day (15 May 1967) he decided to commit suicide by jumping from a running train. As he was about to do so, he claims to have heard holy verses of the Bible; he got down at the next station and went straight to the Church, where he claims to have seen Jesus and received answers for all his doubts through divine blessing.

As per orders of Jesus, he became a Christian and travelled throughout the state converting thousands of Hindus to Christianity. He became a full time evangelist in 1974 and founded the <b>Agni Ministries</b>. Since 1982, he has been running <b>a Tamil monthly magazine, “Agni,” for Tamil people worldwide.</b> As per orders of Jesus, he has been planting new churches since 1995, and has so far planted 27 churches and appointed 27 pastors for effective harvests.  He has appointed four full-time evangelists and established a full fledged office with four faculty and other staff.
(<i>Why</i> do people think christists of southern states including TN - even christists who are DMK favourites - always choose Samskritam terms for their magazines, newspapers and channels?)

Sadhu Chellappaa has written over 28 books in Tamil and two in English. He claims his book "IS CHRISTIANITY A NECESSITY?" is always in demand and is likely to go into reprint for the fifth time. Another book, BIBLE AND BAGAVAT GITA, VARANASHRA DHARMA sells like hot cakes! He has travelled widely abroad, meeting evangelists and church leaders in pursuit of name and fame.

Chellappaa is believed to have met Dr. Billy Graham at the itinerant Evangelists Conference at Amsterdam in 1983; his life story appeared in "Challenge" magazine published by Campus Crusade, USA. <b>But his ‘Sri Lankan connection’ is telling! A regular speaker at the Impetus Conference in Colombo for Third World Pastors and Evangelists, Sadhu is a close friend of Dr. Colton Wickramaratne, Senior Pastor of People’s Church, Colombo and his ministry has ‘saved’ numerous Buddhists and Hindus in Sri Lanka.</b>

<b>Most Sri Lankan Tamil Hindus who are scattered as refugees through out the world have been converted to Christianity through his ministries.</b> Rev. Colin Dye, Senior Pastor of Kensington Temple, London, the largest church in England, interviewed Chellappaa and his story appeared in "The Edge," a leading British Christian magazine, in its May 1996 issue.

<b>Sadhu Chellappa’s ‘Agni Ministries’ (AM) </b>are governed by “Evangelical Action Team of India” (EATI), founded by him in 1980 in Coimbatore, with 20 persons in the Board of Directors; he is the ‘Managing Director’. EATI concentrates on conversion activities in the guise of services in Education and Health. The main objective of EATI and AM is to Plant Churches and Harvest Souls, for which purpose they recruit Pastors and Evangelists and conduct training courses for them. They teach distorted versions of Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Sikh scriptures and other books relevant to those Indigenous religions and train recruits how to use those scriptures (by comparing with Christian concepts and Bible stories) for converting the gullible sections from those faiths. They send trained recruits to set up ‘Prayer Cells’ to facilitate planting of new Churches in predominantly Hindu areas. The recruits also teach at Bible schools and colleges. EATI and AM have tie-ups with international missionaries, mainly for fund raising, which makes harvesting easier.

Sadhu Chellappaa audaciously claims, “Diwali, the festival of lights, is a Christian Festival; Animal Sacrifice is a Christian culture adopted by Hindus and Gayatri Mantra actually glorifies Jesus. The Vedas, the ancient Indian sacred writings had anticipated the coming of Christ to take away the sins of man. They call Him Purusha Prajapati the creator God who would come as a man to offer himself as a sacrifice. Jesus Christ came to fulfill the Vedic quest of the Indian people, because the Vedhas are incomplete without Him, just as the Old Testament was fulfilled at the coming of the Messiah”. <b>Thiruvanmiyur episode</b>

It is said Sadhu Chellappaa has a few Brahmin families in his kitty since the launching of this Christian Brahmin Seva Samiti. He uses the services of another convert Vedanayagam, who brazenly calls himself ‘Bhagavathar’ and ‘Sastrigal’ with a title of ‘Pujya Sri’. Both of them organize evangelical sessions in the guise of “Kathaakaalakshebam” and hoodwink gullible Hindus. They focus on poor and lower middle class Brahmins, who are ignorant and have poor knowledge of their religious scriptures. Most have personal and financial problems, which make them vulnerable to the Chellappaas and Vedanayagams.

As the two were making preparations for a huge show on 8 August, the news spread and some concerned citizens called up senior police officials to ban the proposed event; there was absolutely no response. Details about the proposed event were sent to the only Brahmin MLA of the Dravidian Assembly, who took up the issue with higher authorities, but didn’t get the desired results, possibly because he neither belonged to the ruling coalition nor to the opposition ranks, having been recently dismissed by AIADMK. Other leaders of Hindu organizations were busy with bi-elections and Ganesh Chaturthi arrangements. The so-called Brahmin Association (TAMBRAS) was nowhere to be seen!

It was left to a few individuals (some cadres of Hindu organizations and freelance writers, editors and journalists numbering around ten) who went to Thiruvanmiyur Police Station on 6 August and complained to the Inspector, who immediately got the banners removed and warned the Church not to host the event. <b>The banners sprang up again on 8 August morning, without the title ‘Christian Brahmin Seva Samiti’, which portion was covered with a cloth. A ‘panthal’ (shamiana) was set up at the entrance to the Church and two plantain trees and a bunch of fresh tender coconuts tied on both sides of the entrance to give the Church a typical Hindu look!</b>

Though the title was covered by a cloth, other terms such as ‘Pujya Sri’, ‘Bhagavathar’ and ‘Sastrigal’ were not removed from the banner; despite repeated phone calls and personal calls the local police didn’t take further actions and the “Kathaakaalakshebam” of “Vedanayagam Sastrigal” went as planned, with police protection! If the police thought they acted neutrally they were wrong; what happened in the church was a blatant violation of law.

<b>The organizers deserve stringent punishment</b>

How can a Christian evangelical session be named Kathaakaalakshebam (religious discourse)? How can evangelists call themselves Sadhus, Bhagavatars, Sastrigals and keep the title ‘Pujya Sri’? Claiming to be a casteless religion and a society sans caste discrimination, how could they start an organization exclusively for Brahmins? What have Brahmins to do with Christianity? From when is Christianity having a separate Brahmin sect?

The Vedas, Upanishads, Ithihasas and Puranas are religious treasures of the Hindus. No other religionists have the right to touch them. Distorting and using them to market Jesus and Christianity is shameless and clearly establishes that there is nothing of value in Christianity since its god and bible need Hindu scriptures to succeed. By thus misusing the Hindu scriptures, the Chellappaas, Vedanayagams and other imposters should be booked under Sections 153A, 295A, 298 and other sections of the IPC and punished.

In Thiruvanmiyur Church, the so-called Sastrigal marketed the Christian god as “Purusha Prajapati” of the Rig Veda! Evangelists are like sales representatives and they cannot be allowed to use Hindu scriptures to sell their religion and god; one company’s sales rep cannot use other company’s merchandise to sell his product. This can only create conflict in society and law and order problems, with disastrous consequences.

The subterfuge, also called inculturation, has grown to dangerous proportions. The deep slumber of Hindu organizations (social, cultural, religious, spiritual, et al) is disturbing and it is high time they woke up and put an end to this ugly business by the church and the missionaries.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

This is total nonsense, probably exaggeration to get more funds from his gora masters.

In reality most Srilankan Tamils are still Hindu abroad, i would say 80% are Hindu.

Christians including missionaries always like hyper-bloated numbers and percentages since it makes them think it vindicates their faith - see how they keep declaring that most of Rome was christian by the time Constantine came up, when not even 5% of Rome was christian. It's the same old story. Just like some Indian christian in TN declared in some publication that ~60 million in TN were christian.

Anyway, the point in this case is that missionaries believe the figures of Chellappaa's "miracle" among SL Hindus must be high: for which the indian christonary would have had to produce some example sheep for his higher ups. Else they would not have gushed over him like their favourite pet of the week.

The ridiculous exaggeration is not what is interesting, but the fact that this chellapaa is considered a pivotal character in S Hindu conversions (Sri Lanka, TN) by some christowestern agencies (whether rightly or not), and that he has had whatever amount of 'success' in converting Tamizh Hindus.

(Hmmm. Alternatively, I guess the statement "Most Sri Lankan Tamil Hindus who are scattered as refugees through out the world have been converted to Christianity through his ministries" could merely have been intended to mean that most of the refugee SL ex-Hindu <i>converts</i> were converted through his ministries.)

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->The Conversion To Intolerance
How the Missionaries are destroying the ancient Hindu Culture

by Raju Peddada

[Author's note: What I write here is controversial, perhaps even inflammatory, but unequivocally true. The daily incidents unfolding in south India, at the missionaries and churches had been verified thoroughly during my trip last year, in direct contact with the victims, re-converts, village and panchayat officers. More than anything, what really prodded me to address this chilling milieu is a simple fact, I also, in my liberal and open mindedness have been the unfortunate and involuntary beneficiary of religious intolerance, especially the subversive conversion machinations through my two marriages and a relationship. It is eerily corroborative with the incidents presented here.]

"Religious intolerance was inevitably born with the belief in one God."
    —Sigmund Freud

"The oldest aspects of Hindu mythology give place to the most profound and subtle utterances about the nature of ultimate reality, it is in itself a liberal education in humility, tolerance and suspense of judgment."
    —Aldous Huxley

(Swans - July 27, 2009)   Despite the decades that slipped by, I distinctly remember the smells and sounds of the remote south Indian villages. In the innocent years dissolved, you could hear mothers calling out to their kids to come home for supper at sunset. Sunsets demarcated life from slumber. Standing on the high verandahs you could hear the thunderous stampede of returning cattle from grazing, and smell and see the distant clouds of billowing dust permeated with the golden rays of the descending sun. Farm boys and shepherds in cussing repartees in rural dialects, blessed by the tolling bells of evening prayers at a nearby temple; coteries of village elders discussing crops and older couples visiting neighbors, and an occasional distant melancholic flute coaxing the wind to carry the ironies of past paradises. After a hot supper on the verandah, under the fading light, folding cots or reed mats were set up for the nights under the twinkling eternity and soothing conversation of leaves and the wind. It was peaceful and ethereal, almost therapeutic for the tired souls and revelatory for the young ones. Bedtime stories proliferated from grandmothers and great aunts. Ah, that innocence and dusty rural fragrance of daily struggles expiated our mendacious and jaded city souls. <b>All is lost now, assailed by the din of fervent missionaries.
</b>
Catapult over the decades and into our trip last year, <b>these same villages, we enjoyed in the decades prior, have become battle zones for conversion, Christian missionaries converting the guileless Hindus right under the Hindu noses. </b><b>The proselytizers have built huge incongruent whitewashed churches, that scream for attention, in every emerald village spewing out disquieting sermons in local dialects drowning the golden sunsets </b>in their flood lights, obscuring and obfuscating the melodious soul soothing conversation of leaves and wind at bed time, and basically <b>obliterating the natural rhythms of life with loud, presumptuous and boisterous religiosity polluting the very essence of Hindu culture..</b>.an existence in silent reverence and in sync with nature. Whether it is Annadaverapeta, Ragolapalli, Tallapudi or Velangi, all familiar comfort zones for us in the past have been <b>reduced into circuses at night with large food lit assembles and amplified singing forced on the sleeping all night long. </b>In the land of tolerance, intolerance is taking root with devastating results. Secularism, pluralism, diversity, and tolerance are being rapidly, insidiously, deviously and inexorably being supplanted with <b>menacing dispassionate monolithic intolerance. </b>The warm rain forests of diversity are being replaced by the frigid bristling pine forests of rigidity.

The hair on my neck bristled up when I heard this one from a direct victim called in by my cousin, who happened to be a village officer for two villages. Mr. V. Rao had been hearing stories about the assemblies of "Miraculous Christian Healings" regularly. Believing that all are welcome, he took a close friend with a chronic illness that the local doctor could not diagnose, to one of these Christian healings. Once they arrived there, they were barred from entry into the church, the reason being that he and his friend were not Christians. That same evening a re-convert, who had reverted back to Hinduism, who knew these gentlemen and saw them being turned away, pulled these dejected friends aside into a tea shop, sat both of them down and told them his story. <b>The re-convert elaborated how he was called to the church one day and was instructed to act sick, and then pretend to be healed of the sickness once the priest chanted Christ's name and touched the sick man's head in front of 15 to 20 thousand naive converts. </b><b>The clergy, after every healing, reiterated to these converts to desist from eating Hindu food, listening to them or visiting with them; </b>and that their family now was the other members of the congregation.

<b>The unfortunate who succumb to these exclusion dogmas are the innocent, illiterate and economically disadvantaged that are being systematically exploited into selling their own identity for temporary financial gains. </b>Most of these converts don't even know what they are signing up for, the familial consequences and ramifications with such sale of identity for a few material comforts. <b>The indoctrination is vigorous, day and night with brainwashings that render their own families, who manage to remain Hindus, the un-converted ones, as evildoers, devil worshippers, hell bound, idol worshippers, and witchcraft practitioners. </b><b>Hindus are being subjected to various types of desecrating reductionism in their own country, </b><b>with no consequences for this subversion. </b>The stress experienced by the new converts is quite excruciating, <b>the abandonment and the alienation from loved ones, who have not given into these diabolical machinations of the proselytizers. </b>The newly converted are ordered to<b> assemble in the churches and are disallowed to mingle and commiserate with old relatives.</b> In fact, horrifying new stories of these conversion tactics are emerging from the rural south where <b>the converts are forced, blackmailed, coerced at "money point" instead of gun point, to bring in more converts, especially their extended families</b> if the new converts were to keep contact with them. It has been reported that the clergy is being paid Rs.100 per head to Rs.1000 for a group of ten or more to convert.

"What should be said of us, who are forced to live piously, not by devotion but by terror?"
    —Maximus of Turin

Here is a verified incident that illustrates their creed. This subversion has reached the sewer level with the proselytizers. This was a story that enraged every tolerant and decent pore on me. A school bus full of Hindu kids aged 6-9 are taken on field trip into the thick rain forest. The bus apparently stalls in a deep and dense part of the forest with the sun already behind the forest canopy. <b>The Christian chaperone and bus driver from the school inform the kids that "we are stuck here"</b> and tell the kids to pray for help. <b>They challenge all the Hindu kids to pray to their gods and wait to see if their god saves them from this ordeal. </b>An hour later in the deafening darkness of the forest, with strange animal noises getting louder, almost half of the children start crying and urinating in their clothes. <b>Then, these two men again board the bus, and chide the kids for believing all these Hindu gods who cannot save them: "see the gods you pray to, are really powerless." </b><b>After setting the stage with fear, they tell the kids that the only one who can save them is Christ. </b>After this little scrubbing they say: <b>"now let us pray to Jesus and see if he helps us...Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name..." Voila, the bus starts up </b>to the bewildered faces of the innocent kids, and the trip home is easy. What do you think takes place at home between the kids and parents? If this is not Child abuse, abuse of trust and the epitome of subversion, I don't know what it is?

It is manifest that <b>the scramble for converts has intensified </b>since the justified cynical and the jaded are abandoning their faith in droves, as sexual and embezzlement scandals, and the resulting settlements had drained the coffers. To compensate for these losses, the proselytizing and conversion activities have attained a diabolical fervor. If it is not about money and power through membership, what is it then? <b>I don't see any love, spirituality or even peace in such crass display of hypocrisy and presumption. </b>The Christians have been consistently getting their butts whipped in the Middle East and other regions competing for membership and conversions. They have not been allowed to pursue their activities in Muslim dominated regions, as Muslims are fanatically dedicated to their faith and are violently protective against any encroaching faith. <b>So, the Christians seek a less combative territory: the Indian subcontinent, where the majority of Hindus are not suspicious, rather welcoming, pliant and very tolerant. </b><b>The Indian subcontinent has become a war zone not between Hindus and others; it is a war zone for Christians and Muslims...competing for conversion and membership.</b>

Every man-made religion has skeletons in its proverbial closet. I am not an atheist, nor a fanatic. However, in my last trip I saw the signs everywhere in south India and for the most part could not avoid this explosive topic with my relatives and friends. We were actually joined in by western Christian tourists on the Katpadi train platform in Tamil Nadu as well as in Agra, who were appalled and agreed with immense chagrin and embarrassment at the Christian missionary rampage in open desecration of an ancient culture.

Professor David Shulman of Humanistic Studies in the Department of Comparative Religion at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on a bus journey in southern India puts it this way: "A Christian boy, 'Ben Zwi,' no less, attaches himself to me and, glued for hours to the seat across from me, speaks of truth, a single truth, which must, I can clearly see, by virtue of this claim alone, be untrue."

<b>These faiths that call themselves original and "one truth" bastion have regularly plagiarized and pillaged the Greek and Indian cultures for ideas, teachings and symbols, who they had termed pejoratively as Pagan, to form their own lexicon and nomenclature.</b> The progenitor of monotheism was not Moses, but the Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaton, also known as Amenhotep IV in 1347BC, followed by the Vedic Monism around 1000BC. Common sense and morality existed long before all these desert religions laid claim to it. For all their good aspects, the conversion doctrine renders these faiths rather archaic, shackled to their tribal origins.

The battles for converts alone had been responsible for saturating the land of Sinai and near west and east with blood of millions in the process. <b>Live and let live is a spiritually unfathomable concept for such rabid ideologies. Christians throughout history went into remote regions of the world to conquer and convert indigenous cultures, civilizations even eviscerating some, like the Aztecs. </b>In their self-righteousness and misguided hubris, the <b>Christian hypocrisy has freely dispensed the appellations of "savages", barbaric", "uncivilized" to almost every culture they had encountered, yet if you looked at their "righteous" record and behavior through the ages, it would become manifestly evident as to who actually were the savages and barbarians. </b>The presumption of superiority in "one truth" faiths and their subversive politics with intolerance is the very essence of inferiority and insecurity.

<b>Voluntary conversion meant abandoning your own identity and history. And forced conversion meant destruction of identity, indigenous cultures, traditions, lore and history of the converted at the point of sword or money, leaving people without any sense of roots or belonging, only existing in the present as rabid mechanisms of propagation.</b> I also find the door-to-door Jehovah sellers similar to the Fuller Brush salesmen in the 1950s and '60s. L<b>ook at what the Native American Indians have been reduced to. Today they mostly live on reservations that are no more than Casinos with gambling and flowing alcohol, with no identity and a dissolved past, thanks to the conversions.</b>

"From the time that Christianity was invested with the supreme power, the governors of the church have been no less diligently employed in displaying the cruelty, than in imitating the conduct, of their pagan adversaries."
—Edward Gibbon, Decline & Fall of the Roman Empire

<b>I had come across many converts in India, and I didn't see happiness in them, I see isolation and longing in their eyes, contrarily, Hindus appeared content and blissful. </b>The <b>doctrines or dogmas are so rigid and unrealistic, that even the ardent adherents find it impossible to live by them. </b>It categorically renders them unhappy and l<b>iving in fear of violating the basic tenets they signed on to. </b>If you are a<b> new convert, you must change your names, and simply dump everything that defined and made you. Your heritage is of no consequence.</b> <b>V. S. Naipual's insightful compendiums "Beyond Belief" and "Among the Believers" </b>on this subject are a must reads. The Vedic cultural soul and landscape of <b>Indonesia </b>offer visions of the past and the rich diversity that has now been relegated to oblivion, as the epidemic conversion to Islam in the last two generations had <b>forced a total whiteout. </b>Recently, the Islamic clerics of Indonesia issued a<b> fatwa on the practice of Yoga</b>, as they discovered that most previously Hindu families had practiced Yoga for generations, and these same families, now Muslim, cannot indulge in "heretical manipulations" of a pagan faith. This is just another incidence and evidence of the kind of monolithic intolerance that a convert signs on to, without any prior knowledge and in the process <b>gets shackled forever.</b>

I am not a flailing fanatic being martyred everyday by the infidels, nor am I a total atheist. I think religion is divisive, discursive, disruptive, devious and destructive. That is why atheism is on the rise with the erudite peoples. Poor, ignorant and illiterate ones always become the fodder for such faiths. The copious writings by ancient and contemporary intellectuals like Heraclitus, <b>Max Muller, </b>Aldous Huxley, Mark Twain, Henry D. Thoreau, Schopenhauer, Daniel Boorstin, Johnathan Kirch and Naipual depreciate the subversive aspects of these faiths that perpetuate hate, divisions and unhappiness among the populous. The medieval satirist and father of prose fiction, Giovanni <b>Boccaccio </b>wrote his tales of sexual irreverence and the clergy's hypocrisy for Decameron in 1348, with an impish impudence. He was a believer in the supremacy of natural laws and got inspired by tales of <b>Panchatantra </b>from India, written around 500AD, who had traveled west via Greece in the 1200s. I think <b>Western theology is a compartmental conundrum;</b> it conjures in me visions of decrepit old men sitting in musty old rooms and cellars, disconnected from reality and humanity, <b>creating doctrines to arrest our natural freedoms and render progressive ideas as diabolical paradigms.</b><b> "Devils reside in the details of these teachings" was etched in a dungeon around 380AD, near Ostia by an anonymous prisoner.</b>

"The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness."
    —Hegel, Philosophy of right

I am an ardent history buff, the love of ancient civilizations, romantic immersion in the cultures of antiquity, and ruins always evoked melancholic longing in me, as if the need to migrate into the past was a requisite for all history magnets. I always looked at the Qutb Minar, the Taj Mahal and the massive Red Fort of New Delhi as ethereal monuments of beauty and humanity. But after 9/11 my perspective was altered; these very monuments that awed me since my boyhood now stood in front of me as the repository of barbaric cruelty and forced labor in the blood of "infidel" slaves that were dragged in to construct these grand monuments for Muslims. Instead of marveling the magnificence of the monuments and the history that took shape, I became dazed in the visions of lost freedoms and cruelty the people were made to swallow for not being Muslims. Similarly when I look at those magnificent churches built on the shoulders of apostates, non-believers, and slaves, all the grandiose visions of Christian history washes off in regret and disdain. History can be romanticized from a distance till it touches and grates you personally. Imagine what a Jew would say in Judea in 150AD if asked about the "great" Roman Empire. What would the Irish Catholics express if asked about the prosperous Elizabethan times?

Many intellectuals, historians, and academic scholars have argued that <b>in Christianity the balance tips more towards destruction of cultures </b>than that of achievements across the globe. The Dark Ages had left many paradigmatic and prescient ideas in the dungeons of fear. Again, <b>the willful protagonists of subversive conversions, in the aftermath of the tragedy of the 2004 Indonesian Tsunami are the Christians, going around people inundated in sorrow, on the southern beaches of India, and giving them money and asking them to convert so they can be saved and finally be at peace. </b>There were protests by Christians itself upon witnessing the base missionary activities. Why is this conditional largesse being claimed as Christian grandeur?

I am not interested in <b>the final Judgment or the judgment day,</b> I am interested in acknowledgement; the universal acknowledgement of <b>natural diversity,</b> multifarious paths to the one truth, and sanctity of identity and life. Legend occasionally germinates around a grain of fact, and myth mostly serves a continuing need; faith then shores man up against adversity. If faiths are forced and changed, identities dissolve, and with that, all myths and legends that coddle humanity in comfort of the familiar are destroyed, leaving rootless pilgrims in search for the lost familiarity and self. When you are getting sold on religion and spirituality, which is an unfathomably deep personal issue, by someone like a shoe salesman, you need to question the motives, and understand the consequences of buying from such gentry. The wisest endeavor, with your conscience, common sense and cognition, would be to get away from that soapbox as fast as you can. Run for your life, and from those claims and chains.

"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." -1 Samuel 15:3 This is from the Bible, which sounds like some merciless gangster two thousand years ago, and here is Sri Ramakrishna from the 19th century whose reasoning renders the heavily sold faiths like immature kids fighting over a toy, which is actually you: This metaphysical and spiritual sage says: "There is large round lake with three distinct flights of stairs leading to the water. The Hindus draw water from the lake and call it 'Jal,' the Muslims draw and carry their water from a different point on the lake in leather bags and call it 'Pani' and the Christians get their water from another end of the same lake in a Chalice and call it 'water.' Everyone wants the same substance, but give it different names...only the climate, temperament, and names create these differences. Why not let each man follow his own path?"<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
