Fake 'Made In India' drugs: China admits its cos' involvement
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->"The Chinese authorities have accepted this position (that its firms were involved in the case)," an official said.

"The Indian government took up the matter with the Nigerian authorities and on further probe, it was found that the drugs had actually originated in China and not in India," he added.

In June, Nigeria's drug regulatory authority National Agency for Food and Drug Administration And Control (NAFDAC) had reported about the detention of a large consignment of fake anti-malarial generic pharmaceuticals labeled 'Made in India' which were actually produced in China. <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Thrissur: Perverted SFI leaders of Thriprayar Polytechnic college found happiness in torturing a deaf boy in the name of Ragging.

Nanda Kishore (19) who is congenitally deaf  fought all odds in his life with the support of his family and friends until now , that he never thought there will be animals like this in colleges hiding inside the robe of SFI suits.Nanda Kishore was brutally tortured and hit with canes all over his body after making him naked by the SFI leaders Anu Anand, Balakrishnan and Sajith.

Nanda Kishore’s eyes were still lurking in pain and shock while explaining the dreadful incident through actions and signs to Media persons from the Hospital. Doctors who saw Nanda Kishore told that there is internal injury which had affected the Spinal cord. Blood is clotted all over the body.

Principal of this college is <b>also</b> a local CPM leader, He first tried to suppress the case and threatened Nandakishore’s mother to write a letter that they have no complaint!. If there were no intervention of local ABVP unit this torture must have also been credited to the log books of SFI party unit. These leaders will become the Home Minister and Education Ministers of future Kerala!

ABVP demanded full treatment expenses should be given by Government for the poor family of Nanda Kishore and to take necessary action against the SFI leaders who ragged this deaf boy and to bring them infront of law and give stringent punishment.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Do these CPM/SFI/whatever flavour of communist terrorists have publicly available addresses?

Marxist disharmony (August 1-15, 1979)

Throughout July, the Left Front Government of West Bengal— which never tires of portraying itself as a “picture of cohesion”—was an opera playing out of tune.

Chief Minister Jyoti Basu was holidaying in Europe for three weeks from July 1, while his colleagues, who should have been getting along wonderfully together, boycotted each other, swapped innuendos, and, on occasions, even fought like alleycats. Basu, under great strain due to the continuing power crisis and relentless attacks from opposition parties, had been advised to go on tour by his doctors.

There was a pending invitation from the UK,extended during the earlier Labour government. Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative government renewed it, reflecting the British politicians’ concern for investment worth Rs 650 crore in India.

A large chunk of this is in West Bengal. Keeping to accepted international Marxist protocol, Basu tied up his visit to a bourgeois country with trips to socialist Yugoslavia and Poland.

<b>6 elite troops die, radios fail in Naxal battle</b><!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Six soldiers of India’s elite anti-Naxal strike force were shot dead during a series of fierce gunbattles that has now been on for more than 48 hours in the southern Chhattisgarh rebel redoubt of Dantewada.

This is the biggest loss suffered by the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) in what is their major anti-Naxal operation in Dantewada, 500 km south of state capital Raipur.

More than 30 rebels are dead and their weapon-production unit destroyed.

This operation demonstrates that the security forces can, and will, act against the Maoists in their strongholds, a home ministry official in Delhi said.

Hundreds of troops backed by two helicopters searched the area where five CoBRA soldiers had gone missing on Friday.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<b>Maoists killed Saraswati to get support from Christians</b>

<b>Maoists might have killed VHP leader Laxamananda Saraswati for securing support of the minority Christians and expand their network in Orissa's Kandhamal district, the Commission probing the murder was informed here on Thursday.</b>

"Maoists might have killed Saraswati to get the support of Christians," former Inspector in-Charge of Kotgarh police station HK Pradhan told Justice SC Mohapatra, probing the killing of Saraswati and the violence thereafter.

<b>Noting that the minority community in Kandhamal was not accepting Saraswati's campaign against cow slaughter and religious conversion, the field level officer said many houses were set ablaze and some churches attacked in Kotgarh area a day after the killing of Saraswati on August 23, 2008</b>.

Though no case relating to conversion was registered at the police station, Pradhan said seven people were arrested for rioting and arson. "Land dispute between tribal Kandhas and Pana Dalits added fuel to the riot." he said.

He claimed though a riot broke out in Kotgarh area, the police were not armed as all weapons were withdrawn from the police station.

Government on Sunday indicated that China may be a source of arms for Maoists with whom it is willing to have a dialogue but they should abjure violence.

"Chinese are big smugglers... Suppliers of small arms. I am sure that the Maoists also get them," Pillai said when asked if the Naxals were having links with China.

This is for the first time that someone high in the government has said that the Maoists are getting arms from China.

He, however, said the government no information that the Maoists have any links with China except getting arms. "I do not think so, except getting arms," he told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--emo&Sad--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> Admittedly, the party will not face oblivion as some pundits claim. It is too big, too well networked to collapse overnight. Besides, its position in Kerala is in a sense quite comfortable. It has lost power every alternate election, regrouped and even reinvented itself to claw its way back every five years. Maybe if West Bengal’s electoral history had followed the same trajectory, CPM would not be undergoing its present trauma in the State. Proving the adage, “absolute power corrupts absolutely”, the CPM in Bengal is headed in the direction of deposed Communist regimes in Russia and Eastern Europe, while in Kerala it may well stage a comeback in 2016 after its inevitable rout in 2011. But Bengal’s politics is poised for a tectonic shift. In fact, the subterranean plates are moving already; earthquakes are piling upon earthquakes. The choice before the party is stark. Either it recasts itself as a modern, democratic, loosely structured organisation like other mainstream parties, or sticks to dogma with rigidity, awaiting eventual oblivion.

कोलकाता।।

Quote:After Jyoti Basu's death, his family and close ones are each remembering him in their own

His son, Chandan, daughter-in-law Rakhi and grandson Subhajyoti will be observing religious rituals by eschewing non-vegetarian food for 13 days. A shradh is also expected to be observed after the 13 days, though the details have not yet been finalised. Chandan Basu's family members and close friends confirmed he had decided to observe the rituals.

According to Pradip Pal, who is close to the family, one of the priests known to the family will help him observe the shradh. A close friend of Chandan, who is a business aide and did not want to be quoted, said he had decided to follow the rituals and that he had already started observing it.

In 2002, when Jyoti Basu's wife Kamal passed away, Chandan had observed these rituals according to Hindu beliefs. The veteran Marxist leader had apparently said then that he did not want to impose his own beliefs on his son, as they were two individuals and might have separate views on these things.

So his son will give last passage to communist in Hindu's way. Not bad. <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />
