Christian Subversion And Missionary Activities - 6
Quote:In TN's many parts some christian associations desirious of foreign funds are running childrens home. Now it has come to light that they have made other state children as capital for that.

Foreign foundations give assistance to many organisations in TN to give basic care and amenities to the orphan and poor children. Some organisations are trying to use that money for selfish ends. When they dont get sufficient children in TN, they fetch children from far off places like Assam,Manipur.

They get their required children either directly or by paying money to agents. They also give sweet talk to the converted there and bring their children. There are allegations that , that children brought in this manner are held in small small rooms without basic amenities and education, and not even properly fed. In the long run they make them as their puppets. Then only they ask for approval for recognition from the government. After getting permission based on the strength of the children they have, they get funds from abroad. The money got in this manner is not audited and is given tax exemption. These organisations use this money for conversions and for their selfish needs.

Until last january in kanyakumari Shaji , a pastor from karakonam, kerala was running a child care centre with 100 children. A social activist gave complain to the police that in that cenre 22 children from assam and 54 from manipur were held without basic amenities.Based on that the police headed by Tirunelveli S.P Asra Garg took action and due to his actions the children were reunited with their families.

Henry,a pastor from Keehaiyur, near mannargudi went to Manipur on 1992. He loved a girl called sreelalingbhai there and married her. He started a organisation called Bethel Development Centre there. He returned back last year to TN with 27 children including 9 girl children. He started a illegal bethel child care organisation in madappuram with those children. After 7 months he applied to the government for recognition. In the subsequent investigations undertaken by officials it was discovered that those children were maintained without any basic amenieties or education and henry brought them with the pretext that they are taking them for excursion. Based on Higher Officials orders these children were rescued and are admitted now in child care centres in trichy and tanjore under the care of Venkatraman. Based on complaint by Child Welfare Board member namasivayam Sembanar Kovil Police have filed case on Henry and are searching him. Other than this it seems some children are rescued from Chennai too.

Until now only children from some centres are rescued. We dont know how many such illegal organisations are operating. Government should find such centres and take strict action against them

Pope 'has no UK arrest immunity'

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20100411/tuk...23e80.html

Plans to have the Pope arrested when he visits the UK will succeed because he is not a head of state, a solicitor has said. Skip related content

Atheist authors Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens proposed the action against the Pontiff for his handling of child abuse scandals in the Catholic church.

The writers' solicitor Mark Stephens said applications will be made to courts in the UK and the International Criminal Court for a warrant for Pope Benedict XVI's arrest.

His likely defence would be be that he is immune from prosecution during his visit to Britain in September, according to the lawyer.

Mr Stephens said: "The courts will examine the claim of immunity. I believe that an English court would reject it. If the Pope was here on a state visit, ordinarily a head of state would have sovereign immunity. What I believe is that because he's not a sovereign, not a head of state, he's not entitled to the defence."

He said that the Vatican was declared to be a state by Benito Mussolini, but this had no standing in international law.

The Pope faced criticism after it emerged that he signed a letter which delayed the punishment of a paedophile priest in the US for the "good of the universal church".

Writing in 1985, the future Pontiff said that he needed more time to consider the case.

Mr Stephens, who has represented abuse victims in the past said: "This will require the Pope to deal with the way in which he appears to have prioritised the reputation of the Catholic church over the welfare of children."

Potential charges against the Pope would be crimes against humanity.

Quote:McDaid told Associated Press he had left the chapel believing Benedict had grasped the scale of the problem and the pain caused by it. But two years of subsequent inaction by the church left him disillusioned. "Was it a PR move? Looking back at that now, I have to say it was. Everything they do is not about the children. It's about the church. It's always the church first," he said.

The past few months have seen devastating revelations about clerical sexual abuse and its concealment in churches and Catholic-run institutions across Europe, prompting outrage from the public, and profuse apologies and promises of investigations from the most senior Catholics on the continent.

Next weekend Benedict visits Malta, itself shaken after botched handling of abuse claims. It was reported this month that 45 priests had been accused of sexual offences since the creation of a church response team in 1999. None of the cases has been referred to the police – the retired judge who heads the project said that was the responsibility of victims and parents. The island, which has a population of 400,000, is 98% Catholic and abortion and divorce are banned.

Amid the expressions of regret from bishops about paedophile priests in their ranks, there is also quiet fury about the €750,000 bill for the two-day trip.

Here it is from the horse's mouth:

Quote:Part of the misguided finger-pointing stems from what Mangalwadi calls a growing

Christian-Maoist nexus.
During the December-January violence in Orissa, a number

of Christian youth were lured into the Maoist ranks by the promise of guns.

There could be more violence in the coming months as suspicions loom over Maoist

intentions and a suspected link to local believers.

The former pastor from Mumbai, who has asked to remain unnamed due to his

involvement in relief work in Orissa, says many families are split between

Christians and Maoists. While some Christians have died for their faith, some of

the people arrested for the death of Saraswati have Christian names. "Those

hot-headed youth who are unable to take the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ and

who are impatient say, 'We will join the Maoists because the oppression is

horrible,'" the pastor said.

Mangalwadi says Christians in India need to define their relationship with

Maoists who have been supporting evangelicals there for some time. Frontline

evangelists, for example, are escorted into the jungle to show the Jesus film.

Halfway through the film, it is stopped for a lecture on Maoism and is then

resumed.

Quote:German groups pump in Rs9710169000 to India annually

By our correspondent

Ahmedabad, DeshGujarat, 11 April, 2010

In the context of German Christian group’s Ahmedabad visit and their critical comments about Gujarat’s Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat’s religious conversion related law, it would be interesting to know, how much money Germany based groups push to their Indian operations, mainly for religious conversion in the name of service.

Germany pumped in Rs 9710169000 in India as ‘foreign donation’ in year 2007-2008 according to central Home ministry report. The report is available for public on Home Ministry site. However reports of year 2008-09 and 2009-10 are not put on site for public yet. According to the Home Ministry report, Germany was the third top foreign country pushing ‘donation’ to India in year 2007 and in 2006. Germany was second top donor in year 2002,2003 and 2004 with Rs 715.04, Rs 757.13 and Rs 930.92 crore Rs respectively. Germany pumped in Rs 971.02 crore in 2007, Rs 1033.04 crore in 2006 and Rs 1062.44 crore in 2005. Gujarat received Rs 2,38,59,19,000 Rs in year 2004. Ahmedabd district received Rs 1,26,42,000 and was 9th top. In this year Germany’s Miseror Mozartstrasse pumped in Rs 44,02,83,000 and was 10th top agency. Missio pumped in Rs 40,53,15,000(Missio was responsible for Christian group’s infamous and suspicious Ahmedabad visit.) Mission Prokur pumped in Rs 37,99,40,000. Kinder Not Hilfe pumped in Rs 33,13,98,000. Terre Des Hommes -TDH pumped in Rs 30,07,17,000.

As per the Home Ministry report, two German Christian religious groups were among top 15 receiving foreign contribution. One EED-Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst e.v. of Germany pumped in Rs 105.17 crore in year 2007 only. Another group Neues Kerala C.V. Germany pumped in Rs 174.69 crore in 2007.

It is now well-known that big amount donations in the name of rural development, tribal service and other reasons go to Christian organizations involved in religious conversion of poor and tribal people.

The state of Gujarat received Rs 378.37 crore in year 2007 as foreign contribution. Gujarat was 8th top state in India in this regard in this year and also in 2006 when it received Rs 390.77 crore Rs foreign fund. In 2004 this sum was just Rs 238.59 crore. However it was 8th top even then. Gujarat’s Ahmedabad district was top 8th district in India that attracted highest foreign fun. The fund Ahmedabad district recieved in 2007 was Rs 230.31 crore.

The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power (Hardcover)

Checking in on a friend's brother at Ivenwald, a Washington-based fundamentalist group living communally in Arlington, Va., religion and journalism scholar Sharlet finds a sect whose members refer to Manhattan's Ground Zero as "the ruins of secularism"; intrigued, Sharlet accepts on a whim an invitation to stay at Ivenwald. He's shocked to find himself in the stronghold of a widespread "invisible" network, organized into cells much like Ivenwald, and populated by elite, politically ambitious fundamentalists; Sharlet is present when a leader tells a dozen men living there, "You guys are here to learn how to rule the world." As it turns out, the Family was established in 1935 to oppose FDR's New Deal and the spread of trade unions; since then, it has organized well-attended weekly prayer meetings for members of Congress and annual National Prayer Breakfasts attended by every president since Eisenhower. Further, the Family's international reach ("almost impossible to overstate") has "forged relationships between the U.S. government and some of the most oppressive regimes in the world." In the years since his first encounter, Sharlet has done extensive research, and his thorough account of the Family's life and times is a chilling expose.

A compellingly brilliant account of power in America and how it's shaped by religion. 'The Family' chronicles the ideas advanced by the elite Christian fundamentalist group of that name at the highest levels of government during the past half century. Through its White House and congressional connections, the Family has influenced the deployment of US power, especially in foreign policy during the Cold War and beyond. Led by the talented and Machiavellian Doug Coe, the group has operated sub-rosa in the corridors of power unhindered by democratic accountability.

Jeff Sharlet, a scholar-writer on the nexus of religion & politics, pursues three goals in this remarkable book: (1) To trace elite fundamentalism's lineage from Jonathan Edwards in the 18th c. through the 19th c. religious leader Charles Finney to the present; (2) To demonstrate the Family's behind the scenes role in deployment of American power; and (3) To challenge the purely secular American historical narrative by arguing the role of religion behind the facade of formal power.

Sharlet accomplishes the first objective with verve, the Finney chapter alone is worth the price of the book. Based on his research in the Family's archives, the second goal is achieved, especially on the group's involvement in blunting US de-Nazification policy in postwar Germany, facilitating Indonesia's Suharto's crushing of East Timor, and encouraging the Somalian dictator and other similar types. The author's third challenge is the most ambitious, but I believe he meets it.

In fact, if the critical sociologist C. Wright Mills who wrote the influential 'The Power Elite' (1956) were alive today, I expect he'd be among the first to welcome 'The Family' revelations on the secretive role of Coe's elite "followers of Christ in government, business, and the military" in the projection of American power.

The Family is the best book available on the Christian right precisely because it unpacks the ways in which the people often described as such are neither Christian nor right. I don't mean that in the bumper sticker sense - I don't buy (and Sharlet does not suggest) that this elite group of religiously motivated power players are not real Christians because of their political interests (even if the group itself sometimes prefers not to use the word). Rather, he makes the case that such easy categorization does not do justice to, or sufficiently warn against, their actual influence and reach. The story we are often told - that there are "fundamentalists" and "evangelicals" who are easily understood because they are somehow separate from the world the rest of us live in, hidden in megachurches making megaplans -- is not found in this book. Instead, like a carpet expert explaining the patterns in an intricately woven Persian rug, Sharlet shows us how strands of fundamentalism have been woven into the fabric of the nation's history.

As a journalist, I know and have worked with Jeff Sharlet, but then everyone who writes about religion does or should. His work is particularly popular among writers who cover religion because he tells a story that many wish they were allowed to tell. The history recounted in The Family is one most media outlets deem too complex for the average reader. (What in the world does union busting have to do with religion? A lot, in fact.) Sharlet does not regard complexity as something to be avoided, however, and his true talent is in finding just the right key for unlocking it. He frames keen-eyed analysis and impeccable research within a gripping narrative that lets readers with even a passing interest in the ways religion has influenced American life and politics understand it in a nuanced way.

In an election season in which religion again and again rears its head, this book is particularly relevant. Yet its importance will not fade any time soon. The Family is a hundred year history that shows how we got to this strange place where candidates are forced to damn or defend pastors and everyone must genuflect to the idea that God is a part of the political process. The use of the word "secret" in the subtitle might imply to some that Sharlet is describing a hidden reality. After reading the book, signs of the Family's influence will be obvious to anyone with eyes to see.

Quote:US prosecutor asks pope to help return Indian priest

http://www.cathnewsasia.com/2010/04/15/u...an-priest/

Published Date: April 15, 2010

A Minnesota prosecutor has written to Pope Benedict asking for help obtain the return of an Indian priest accused of sexual assault.

Roseau County Attorney Lisa Hanson mailed the letter Tuesday raising the case of Fr Joseph Palanivel Jeyapaul who is now back in his home diocese of Ootacamund in India, AP reports.

Her office is pursuing his extradition on charges he assaulted a 14-year-old female parishioner while serving at a Catholic church in Minnesota in 2004.

Hanson writes that Benedict could help expedite the case "without the necessity of completing the lengthy extradition process."

Rajeev comments:

Quote:isn't it remarkable that they asked *ratzy* for help, not the indian government?

yanks have correctly figured out that india is a vatican colony. otherwise why wouldn't they ask their pal manmohan to extradite an indian citizen? ergo, two possibilities: 1) all catholics wherever are vatican citizens, 2) the vatican owns india.

since 1) is patently false, 2) must be true.

thank you, sonia maino.

Quote:Indian Priest in Fla. Assault Incident Turns Up in Italy

Dana Kennedy Contributor

(April 15) -- A priest who pleaded no contest in the assault of a teenage girl in Florida and was sent back to his native India turns out to be still on the job, this time at a diocese in Tuscany, Italy.

The case involving the Rev. Vijay Vhaskr Godugunuru -- which the Vatican was aware of -- is one of many now coming under the microscope as revelations of clerical sexual abuse continue to rock the Catholic Church.

News of Godugunuru's reassignment came as a shock to Jeffrey Anderson, one of the pre-eminent lawyers in the United States in representing people sexually abused by priests. He represented the girl and her family in a civil suit against the Pensacola-Tallahassee parish, which settled in 2009 for an undisclosed amount.

Attorney Jeff Anderson, who represented a teenage girl abused by the Rev. Vijay Vhaskr Godugunuru in a civil case, was shocked to learn the priest is still on the job, working at a diocese in Italy.

"Two weeks ago we decided to check that some of these priests were really where the church said they were, or if they had been defrocked the way we were led to believe they had been," Anderson told AOL News today. "And then we find out this guy has not been defrocked and is in fact working at a parish in Italy with full access to kids.

"This just underscores how stone-cold indifferent the Vatican is to the children abused by priests."

Godugunuru pleaded no contest to charges of assaulting the 15-year-old girl in 2006, while he was assisting at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Bonifay, Fla.

The assault took place in her family's van, according to police and court documents provided by Anderson and available on his Web site.

Godugunuru was arrested on charges of lewd or lascivious battery on a minor and could have faced up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Instead, Godugunuru -- who denied the accusation -- made a plea deal under which he pleaded no contest to aggravated assault, a third-degree felony, and agreed to return to his native India, undergo counseling, avoid working with minors and never return to the U.S.

Not long after Godugunuru molested her daughter, the girl's mother wrote to Pope Benedict XVI about the incident, asking him for help. She never received an answer, Anderson said.

But a few months later, the bishop of the Pensacola-Tallahassee diocese e-mailed the mother, saying he had "been in direct contact with the Vatican concerning Fr. Vijay and are gathering documents to be sent to them detailing the entire incident.

"The documentation will include the report of the psychologist, the sheriff and court documents," the e-mail stated. "They will be sent to the Office in the Vatican which deals with priests who have been accused of misconduct, especially when they involve minors. The Vatican office will in turn do a complete examination of the data and make a final disposition concerning the fitness of the priest to continue in the ministry."

Anderson said he had assumed Godugunuru was back in India and also believed the priest had been defrocked.

However, Godugunuru was recently found to be ministering at a parish in a town of about 4,000 in Tuscany, where he hears confessions, celebrates Mass and works with children, according to The Associated Press.

"This is the same thing that's been going on for 25 years," Anderson said. "The Vatican just doesn't get it."

Monsignor Rodolfo Cetoloni, Godugunuru's supervising bishop in the Montepulciano diocese, told the AP he was aware of the case against Godugunuru in Florida, but said he believed him to be innocent.

"The evidence that has been given does not support the accusation," Cetoloni told the AP.

By the way if this is the level of cover up in western countries with stricter law enforcement imagine the crap these sick pedos are getting away with in India (in their missionary run "orphanages" & churches) with a government that only cares about "minorities" having first claim upon resources & winks at Xtian efforts to reduce India to another Philippines, a semi western whore state to be used and abused.

What is the level of coverage the sell out Indian media has given this issue?

I don't get any Indian channels thankfully so I don't know.

I will end with a timely quote from Ishwar Sharan:

Quote:16. There have been recent admissions from the Vatican itself about nuns being raped and sometimes murdered by missionaries and priests. Similarly, there was a startling expose in the Kansas City Star about the rate of AIDS among Catholic priests in the US being four times the national average. Does this imply that the system of celibate nuns and monks is not quite working? Incidentally, these reports died quiet deaths in the Indian Press whereas they regularly jump all over allegations of misconduct by Hindu sadhus and saints.

Sodomy, incest, the abuse of nuns and the molestation of children have been endemic in the Christian church from its very origins. Read the fascinating book A Testament of Christian Civilization by the famous Jesuit-ex-Jesuit historian Joseph McCabe. He was a linguist and had access to documents that are never published in Christian histories. He records the extraordinary sexual, license among ecclesiastics from the first centuries of Christianity up to the 1950s.

At the various church councils where the Christian creed was formulated, the bishops would quarrel over doctrine during the day and dancing boys during the night. More shocking than the sex was the violence and cruelty that went with it, which found its high point in the Inquisition. This institution was run by Dominican monks and was an orgy of sadism and unspeakable cruelty. It was introduced into India by St. Francis Xavier, whose tomb sits on the site of Old Goa’s most important Shiva temple. In the medieval period in Europe, convents became high-class brothels and their bishops forbade priests to live with their mothers and sisters because of the moral dangers involved. The then pope introduced a rule of chastity for priests and nuns but it was never taken very seriously.

Today there are thousands of priests involved in various kinds of sexual relationships and thousands more who seek to be relieved of their vow so that they can marry. Abuse of children in church-run institutions has become rampant and recently in Canada a major Protestant church has gone bankrupt paying the lawsuits brought against it by hundreds of victims who were sexually molested in church boarding schools. All of this is not very surprising to those who have read history and know the moral rot that has always existed within the Christian church even at its highest echelons. After all, it was not very long ago that the Pope was collecting a tax from the lepers and prostitutes who operated in St. Peter’s Square.

Of course, the great irony in this sad state of affairs is that in Christian doctrine sex is a sin, indeed, it is the original sin invented by woman to bring about the downfall of man. In fact it has brought about the downfall of the Christian churches. They have tried to deny this state of moral debasement but modern human rights and instant exposure in the Western media do not allow the deceit to continue except in India. In India the churches are protected from scandal by state authorities, minority commissions and the English-language press. If the allegedly impartial editors of our national newspapers and news magazines spent as much time at the local convent or seminary or church-run boy’s school as they do at the ashrams of Premananda and Satya Sai Baba, they would get a story much more satisfying of their prurient interests. All of these editors are sewer inspectors at heart but they will not touch a Christian sewer with a barge pole. Such is the power of the Christian church in India and the overt bias of the national English-language press.

The Christian church in India is still an 18th century colonial church financed from abroad. It has a sophisticated international support system in place (and this is especially true of the newer American evangelical churches). It is very arrogant and corrupt, a quasi-independent state that is coddled and pampered by the Indian government and media alike. It is answerable to nobody, which is reason enough for a responsible government to order a white paper investigation into its finances and activities.

Calumny and more calumny is the Church’s current weapon of choice and all of the bad press India and Hindus get in Europe and America originates in bishop’s houses, church councils and the offices of Christian NGOs in India. Their “authoritative” and “secular” views are picked up by an accommodating English-language press and broadcast abroad with alacrity.

The truth of this observation can be verified by listening to Indian editors and Christian fathers reporting from Delhi and Madras to their English masters in London on the BBC’s various religious programmes and South Asia news services in the morning. It does not enter the heads of these Indian media worthies that the BBC is a neo-colonialist radio network dedicated to the promotion of Christian culture and values and British government foreign policy, and that it does not have a kind word for Hindus or Hinduism or Hindu issues even though Hindus make up a large part of its world audience.

(It may be noted that this interview was given to Rajeev Srinivasan with the understanding that it would be published in his column on the rediff.com web site. However, the editors of this website have not published it allegedly because of my criticism of their col1eagues in the English-language media. They have unwittingly proved my point about the pusillanimity and bias of Indian editors and their inability to tolerate any kind of criticism.)

http://hamsa.org/interview.htm

Can you imagine the phony outrage that the Indian media & gov't would show if hundreds of Hindu sadhu's have been found molesting kids?

There will be calls for gov't take over of all ashrama's and banning sanyasa itself (as they have successfully banned sati through propaganda & imposition of christian morality on us) but they are mum about the issue when Christians are involved.

Quote:Kanchi seer opposes religious conversion

19/04/2010 04:52:45 http://expressbuzz.com/edition/print.aspx?artid=166355

KANCHEEPURAM: In what is understood to be a renewed political activism of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, Sri Jayendra Saraswati has taken a serious view of what he termed forcible conversions of people in the war-torn Sri Lanka, and is staying in 'close touch' with the happenings in the island nation.

According to the pontiff, the aftermath of a war is always conducive to conversion, particularly to Christianity because the Biblical themes of persecution and exile instantly resonate with them. He is going to oppose "forcible conversions and proselytizing by force, allurement or by fraudulent means," anywhere because it is against the grain of Hindu ethos.

In an exclusive interview, the pontiff said he was going to sensitize Hindus on Indian spirituality and to achieve that end he would organise a padayatra of madhathipathis and sadhus soon.

The 69th head of the mutt said it would be organised under the banner of a newly formed "Mana Matha Ottumai" society and three slogans — Manam Maraathey, Matham Maarathey, Panathukku Assaipadathey (don't change your mind, don't convert, and don't fall prey to lucre) would be popularised.

He said when Sri Lanka was recently trying to enact an anti-conversion bill, he was elated, and then his spirit drooped when the imminent internal strife and subsequent election somehow postponed the legislation.

Recalling his inter-faith meet with Vatican's head for interreligious dialogue, Cardinal Jean Louis Tauran, and Mumbai's Cardinal Oswald Gracias several months ago, he questioned if the Roman Catholic Pope could give an assurance to Israel to the effect that "the Catholic Church would desist from all missionary and conversion activities among the Jews" why cannot they take a similar stand in India.

In response to a question, he said he could not fault the Centre, or for that matter the Reserve Bank of India through which funds are routed to frontline NGOs in India which, hand in glove with Christian missionaries, are involved in forceful conversions of the poor Hindus.

Asked what the people who fall prey to the allurement of conversion missed in Hinduism, he listed two reasons: untouchability and caste entitlement. "We do not practice untouchability but the people of other castes within the context of Hinduism do practice that for societal reasons," the seer admitted.

Criticising that neo-Christians are deliberately following the Hindu traditions and rites, the seer said that in Andhra Pradesh, Christians are conducting festivals a la Hindu Urchavam with flag hoisting ceremonies.

He said he would like to describe India as a spiritual country rather than a secular country.

CHENNAI, India (RNS) Reacting to the Catholic Church's spreading sex abuse scandal, bishops in India have drafted new guidelines that include a zero-tolerance policy for guilty priests.

The draft guidelines emerged from the Catholic Bishops Conference of India's meeting in Bangalore which ended Wednesday (April 28). The draft will be sent to the Vatican for approval before being finalized in June.

The bishops' meeting came amid revelations about a priest from India, the Rev. Joseph Palanivel Jeyapaul, who was charged in the United States with sexually assaulting a teenage female parishioner in Minnesota. Jeyapaul, who has since returned to India and is now working in the office of his home diocese, has offered to go back to the U.S. and face any charges there.

Critics of the Catholic church highlighted Jeyapaul's case as an example of what they said was the practice of protecting child-molesting priests from the law.

"While the general consensus at the conference was to report any suspected case of child sex abuse to the police, measures like defrocking and expulsion would be thought of only if the accused is convicted by a court," CBCI spokesperson Babu Joseph Karakombil told reporters.

Cardinal of Mumbai Oswald Gracias has said he favors immediately defrocking priests who admit guilt or are convicted by secular courts. "I am in favor of such stringent action against the guilty," he has said.

Story continues below

CBCI spokesperson Karakombil said the draft guidelines will be made public when they are finalized.

Karakombil recently told AKI, a Rome-based media service, that while some Indian priests have faced sex abuse charges in the United States, accusations in India are rare.

Child rights activists, however, say that a lack of disclosure about sex cases in India is a matter of grave concern. They hope the new guidelines will bring in more transparency and accountability.

I think we are in for some shock this census. I was just playing with Wolfram Alpha and found out that Hinduism now counts for only 74% of population of India!!! Islam is at 12.2 and Christianity at 6.2.

So from 2001, Hinduism shrunk 6-7%!!!!!

Quote:With a Muslim president, Sikh prime minister and a Christian head of the governing parliamentary party, the government committed to a policy of tolerance and maintaining a highly diverse society. Yet, the Hindu militant and extremist groups with the support of the BJP at the government level, continue to attack Christian minorities in many states. The anti-conversion bills passed so far make it illegal for people to convert from one faith to another without registering their conversion with the authorities and proving no coercion was involved. Anyone accused of participating in forced conversion can face a 3 year prison sentence. {What an evil "persecuting" law  } Although the Christian population is on the rise and stands at 6% of the country's total population, the government has not released this as an official figure in fear of Hindu extremist reactions.

Christian missionaries are having a field day in India. What worries have they got when all the concerns are safely directed against its terrorist twin brother.

We must act before become like another South Korea. I met a Christian SoKo guy and he was a Buddhist before. I asked him why he gave up Buddhism. He told me "Buddha Himself said that He cannot rescue me. Then I asked the question who could and found Jesus Christ to be the answer" :-?

I don't get the pretended surprise? (It's a comment on BR, I see.)

The percentages were the projected target, and they were not secret (or not kept secret):

1. Years ago christianism had already publicly declared they intended to reach that target and stimulate islamania further (as christianism has been doing) to also help with reducing the Hindu and other Dharmic population demographic proportions:

Let us quote Christian Encyclopedia, “Christians and Muslims will probably both find room to grow in the mosaic of India’s peoples so that they by 2025 Christians account for 7.4% and Muslims 12.2% while Hindus decline to under 73% (down from 80% in 1900). With sustained growth over the next few decades Christianity could grow to near 10% of Indian population by AD 2025. …………. . Hindus will potentially decline as a percentage of India’s population as other religions continue to win adherents over the next few decades”47. The deliberate attempt from the part of organized religion can attain the above said target very easily. But all the gains of the organized religions will ultimately result in the death of Hindu culture and civilization. History tells us the story of the cline of great civilizations like Greek, Roman; etc all lost its splendid culture on the onslaughts of Christianity like somatic religions.

Quote:Christian encyclopaedia projects fall in Hindu population

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram director P.Parameswaran on Friday expressed concern over the projection made by the ‘World Christian Encyclopaedia’ that the Hindu population of the country would be reduced to 73 per cent by 2025.

The encyclopaedia published by the Oxford University Press in 2001 projected that the Christian population in the country would increase to 7.5 per cent of the total population by 2025, Parameswaran said in a statement here. Among them, two crores would be crypto-Christians (believers in Christ, but not professing it publicly), he quoted from the encyclopaedia.

(And therein lies the danger. Cryptochristianism ought to have been exposed. But Hindus never do that. Because it hurts secular Hindus' sentiments to think of injuring christian sensibilities by mentioning individuals' christianism.

But the alternative will be more painful - for all Dharmics, not just the secular kind.)

‘‘In the context of the growing anxiety and the raging controversy over the alarming increase in the population of Muslims and Christians and the perceptible decline in the growth of Hindu population in India, the World Christian Encyclopedia reveals certain grave tendencies and discloses demographic data, which are thought-provoking,’’ the statement said.

Parameswaran said that the chapter dealing with India was of special importance as it projected seven per cent decline in Hindu population and 7.5 per cent increase in Christian population by 2025. He said that the data as well as the projection of the Encyclopedia lent credence to the anxiety expressed by people on the basis of the latest religious census released by the Government of India.

‘‘The various kinds of activities organised by a number of churches like acts of charity, relief work, education, media etc though not leading to outright conversion, end up in adding to the number of crypto-Christians. Hence it is necessary that the concern expressed should be seriously addressed,’’ it said.

2. And once more, some years back, christianism already published victory news of having met the intermediate milestone of 74% Hindus:

Quote:World Christian Database: India is now 6% Christian

Posted April 25, 2005

[...]

The 2005 edition of the World Christian Database (http://www.worldchristiandatabase.org/) says that India is now 6% Christian. The government of India last conducted a census on the Indian population in 2001 said that Hindus were 81.4% of the population followed by Muslims at 12.4% and Christians at 2.3%. However, the more recent data from the World Christian Database states that Hindus are now 74% of the population and Christians are 6% of the population. The new survey claims that Catholics have grown from 1.52% of the population in 1970 to 1.66% in 2005. The recent data suggests that the rampant and aggressive conversion by Christian missionaries is much more widespread than previously acknowledged.

Religious breakdown in India according the World Christian Database:

Hindu: 74%

Muslim: 12%

Other Christian: 4%

Catholic: 2%

Sikh: 2%

All other: 5%

Not religious: 1%

Catholic population:

1970: 8,432,713 (1.52%)

2005: 18,250,000 (1.66%)
Note catholicism's growth. They've invested heavily.

Another way of looking at this is that India presently enjoys an 85% Hindu majority in its population. This may sound quite significant, but in actuality this includes 15% Buddhists, Sikhs, and Jains. So it is really only a 70% majority. How many more generations will go by before we see a big drop in this percentage due to the process of secular (meaning Christian or English, or even Islamic) education, or with the present rate of conversions by tactless Christians? This percentage could easily drop well below 50% in only several more generations at the present rate of change.

How many more generations will it take before the Hindu majority is no longer a majority, but a minority in its own country? As Hinduism declines, you will see that the demands on the government and those voted into politics will also change, and the laws will also alter more in favor of the increasing minority religions at the expense of declining Hinduism. Then as the years go by there will appear only small clusters of Hindu or Vedic communities, most likely centered around prominent holy places, until the more aggressive religions act in ways to diminish these as well, in the same way that they are presently doing in other countries.
Hmmm, Hindus are already past that point of no return, I'd say (and projecting their inertia/ongoing complacency, rate of waking up, and ratio of sleeping:waking). The worsened demographics make any change back to better percentages unlikely. And political power is unlikely to return to Dharmics (or stay put there if it ever did; and the nationalist politicos will bungle it again somehow, the way nationalist political parties get elected by Dharmics only to favour/impress the thankless minorities anyway once in power).

Guess one can be grateful that the projected 7.4% christianism hasn't been reached and it's only 6.2%. But the goal for that was 2025. Besides, christianism's helped islam meet its target % and no doubt won't even need to help it to reach greater heights by 2025.

Christianism is the brains behind all of the misery, and it's what enables islamism to attain to far more than its estimated (solo) potential within the same timeframe.

4. And here is christianism's belief/prophecy/driving force/great hope to salvage the sinking of christianism elsewhere:

In 1974 Walbert Buhlmann convincingly demonstrated how the centre of the world Christianity was shifting from the Atlantic region towards the Pacific region. At the beginning of the century eighty-five percent of the Christians and seventy-seven percent of Catholic population were living in the northern hemisphere. The southern hemisphere had only fifteen percent of Christian population and twenty-three percent of the Catholic population. By the year 1960 the Catholic population had shrunk to fifty-two percent in the North and grown to forty-eight percent in the South. Twenty years later the population of the Catholics in the northern hemisphere was forty-two percent; and in the year 2000, sixty percent of Christian population will be in the South and the remaining forty percent in the North. Buhlmann's conclusion was that the First Church (Oriental Church) dominated the first millennium. The Third Church (a new Church in the southern hemisphere) will most probably dominate the Church in the third millennium (W. Buhlmann, 1976. 86-87,129-60). The Indian Church will hopefully play a key role in the process.

Personally, I think it too late.

But there is the silver lining:

- At least one can predict with 100% certainty that islamania=terrorism will wipe out all the whiny christianism=terrorism from India if it ever comes down to a match between just the two. All the best to islamania in such a situation. Christianism deserves it and then some. Would be a bloodbath one couldn't give a hoot about.

And islamania has a tendency to sink itself (see TSP: hopeless country). Islamania goes nowhere without kaffirs.

- Plus modern hinduism is not really worth worrying about.

Of course, it's sad about the village Hindus though. The real heathens, I mean. But they were anyway going to become dwindling islands with the secularising angelsk-miseducated folks around them shoving them into similar christist education.

If Hindus had a useful brain among them they could perhaps plot a path out of... Actually I don't think that would work anymore either.

Wasn't there a middling book on The Last Stand Of The Pagans or something (historical; it was about the GrecoRomans).

Maybe Hindu religion could have a memorable showdown too? As opposed to rolling over. And it could take the enemy ideology down with us. But that would take energy. And determination. And a recognition - which secularised Hindus just couldn't bring up until it's much later still - that christianism is a terminal disease that ought to be eradicated so that it doesn't infest and destroy the remaining heathenisms in the world. Because there is yet more to lose. (Really, Hindus could do at least that much for Shinto and Daoism - China's in serious trouble - and the reviving Hellenes. All this talk of other heathenisms. But how much do Hindus really care?)

Hindus are still in a position to take down christianism - or at least set the wheels in motion for that, such that others can deal it a death blow. Would still be a victory of sorts. If only Hindus would set their collective mind to it.

1. Aim to eradicate christianism

2. Aim to eradicate christianism

3. Aim to eradicate christianism

I think these numbers are somewhat of an overestimate though xtians certainly are far more than the "official" numbers would indicate, may be around 4.6%.

I have my reasons to feel this way, consider the fact that indian xtians seem to be granted visa's at a higher rate to the US and also the tendency of many established xtian communities to be under replacement tfr (Goa & Kerala come to mind), the demographic gains they make through conversions may be slashed through these mechanisms.

They may be inflating their numbers to get more funding from the goras abroad.

Here are the risk areas that xtians have been targeting specifically to sow terror & future secessionist movements: 1) Andhra 2) TN 3) Orissa 4) Chattisgarh 5) Jharkhand 6) Eezham. Donate to Hindu charities that are active in these areas.

Yes to (1).

No to (2).

1) Christianism is encouraging *islam* (i.e. increase in islamic demographics - e.g. their intentional blind eye to infiltrators from the islamic pardeeses next door. E.g. encouragement for islam by govt: quotas, hajj subsidies paid for by Hindus' donations to Hindu Temples, Manmohan stating that muslims have first claim on resources in India - never mind they already stole east and west "Pakistan" from Greater India's Dharmics.)

That the christo meme should be encouraging islamania=islam to multiply is no surprise: it's what it usually does in heathen lands, when it can.

2) Christianism is doing so because it wants to minimise heathenism. Heathenism is enemy #1. The True Religion - be it islamania or christomania, same thing - prefers its own variants (christoislamania) to its foremost enemy. Because "paganism" must die. Wherever it exists. Even if it were in another universum, it must die. So christianism - which is not yet as powerful as it needs to be because it's not in sufficient numbers on its own to take on the whole of the heathen mass of India - will make use of islamism. Besides, promoting islamism offers a cover-shield - helps with cryptochristianism: AP's now-decomposing christoterrorist minister used the majority of Tirupati funds for hajj subsidy and a comparatively much "smaller" fraction for christoterrorism. So it looks "secular" to the insipid among the Indian populace.

^^^ It does not take millions to get the ball rolling. We need just a few Hindus for that.
Please tell me you have an actual plan and are not merely talking optimistically. I prefer either a plan or realism.

Anyway, the problem is manifold. Two of which are:

1. The destruction christianism will wreak is directly proportional to the demographics: as the demographics improve in christoislamism's favour (and the tide turns further against Hindus and other Dharmics), the situation will accelerate. I.e. it will get much worse much faster than it has done so far.

Consider that it took so many centuries for christianism to make any inroads into India. Then after so much trying in Nagaland and the rest of the NE and for so long, suddenly, within decades many places are majority christian. Similarly, the percentage increase in converts in the country are much greater in recent times.

The same was the case in S Korea: after some centuries of missionaries, the dividends were still small. Eventually - since the *1980s* they were able to make christianism into half of the *religious* population of that nation, and render Buddhists and indigenous Korean tradition into a minority there.

Hmmm. It is like a hammer ticking away. It may take long at the start. But eventually, when the thing has cracked and an opening has been made, the floodgates are open, and the process can be measured in some foreseeable measure of time. Reaching such a turning point is dangerous IMO, because reclamation becomes ~impossible:

2. Christianism when viewed from a global/historical perspective covering whole regions has only receded vis-a-vis islam. Never vis-a-vis heathenism. Heathens have lost, lost and then lost some more.

(Islam has at least receded to Dharmic religion a little. But we're facing christianism+islam, with christianism guiding islam. Makes it different, worse.)

Quote:Are you talking about Julian by Gore Vidal?
No. French book (and I remembered the title wrong to boot). Also, it's not fiction but textbook material. Not specifically about Julian either.

Very depressing.

Quote:They may be inflating their numbers to get more funding from the goras abroad.
But they're no longer merely giving these numbers through missionary boards but allowing it to be declared in the *official* census. That is, it's now going out to the general public - and of a country where they are still a 'minority' (numerically). For people who eagerly hide their numbers come census time to suddenly start admitting it in public/officially (as opposed to among themselves/to their handlers and benefactors in the west) seems to me to mean that either they are not remotely scared of repercussions to their potentially premature revelation (i.e. they feel very confident to be willing to declare themselves - even overestimate their numbers - and thereby scare their enemies into a waking state), or they think they're beyond trouble now.

Missionary and hence official (western) news sources say China's underground christians number upwards of 100 mill - see for example the link near the bottom of this post. Others claim that unofficially the number of christians in China is much higher. (I know that on the ground here, lots of Chinese churches are springing up, just like imported Korean churches did. That would mean there are many in their homeland too.) But if the official census of China were suddenly to record the same...

(Then again, christianism perhaps has more reason to be afraid of China than of India: christians know no one can touch them in India. But the Chinese govt is not at all anti-christian, even if it does not allow papism/allegiance to Vatican.)

But TN is significantly christian now. Entire villages are. Rural areas. And what is visible in the city is quite cryptochristian too.

- Missionary literature in today's libraries number 175,000 different titles in 500 languages, increasing by 4 newly published every day.

- The total cost of Christian conversions averages $330,000 for each and every convert.

- From only 3 million in year 1500, Christians involved in missionary activities has grown to 648 million worldwide, 54% being Non-Whites (Showing the focus of training of indigenous missionaries).

- There are only 818 ethno linguistic peoples or tribal groups which have never been targeted by any Christian agency.

- It costs Christians 700 times more money to convert someone in rich developed countries such as Switzerland than in poor developing countries such as India. (That is why India is being heavily targeted).

Important for Hindus to take note of those measures the church *believes* will enable christianism to successfully convert India.

Christianity is still the fastest-growing religion in the world (Islam is second, except in Europe), but its face is no longer white.

In 1900, more than 80 per cent of Christians lived in Europe and America, and just 10 per cent of Africans were Christian. Now 360 million (around 50 per cent) of all Africans are Christians. There are more churchgoing Presbyterians in Ghana than in Scotland, more Baptists in Nagaland, India, than in the American South, and more Anglicans in Nigeria (17 million) than in England (two million).

And despite the restrictions imposed by the Chinese Government, it is estimated there are now 100 million Christians in China who worship in underground evangelical and Catholic churches. China is projected to become the largest Christian country in the world.

Europe once sent missionaries out to the far reaches of Africa and Asia.

Now, it's the other way round, with some 15,000 missionaries from Brazil, South Korea, China and Africa spreading the word in England.

Macedonians have yet another reason to feel inferior and deficient. According to some of the biggest proselytizing groups around, they are just not welcoming enough to the Good Lord Jesus Christ and His messengers.

It's hard to tell just how lost Macedonia is on the International Mission Board's "map of lostness," which color-codes the whole world into danger zones according to their relative lack of Evangelical Christians, but it's pretty dark. And the Southern Baptists, who taunt the Macedonian Orthodox Church as "spiritually weak and vehemently opposed to evangelistic ministries," lets it be known that "...Macedonia may need evangelical pioneering more than any other European nation."
