Dr.Swamy had stood upto the secularists and anti-Hindus and made achievements that true Hindus can be thankful. What does Dr.Swamy-bashers have to their credit? Being followers of Hajpayee perhaps?!
Savithri, I have met him, asked one question and listened to his answer and saw face expression, which will stay with me forever. But, when he went back to India, he made a U-turn. Looked like changed completely, now contradicts his own answer. I know others also, who had closely worked with him.

I can say, he is a useful idiot and currently, he is serving our purpose, but if you think he is a man with values, you will be shocked.

Mudyji,

I know of your opinion about him in another thread that I had started. I too know him from the day he went underground to fight the draconian Emergency of Indira Gandhi. And neither did he use politics to amass wealth like so many politicians in India including some in the BJP. The great saints of India acknowledge him as a fighter for Hindus. So you keep your views and I keep mine.

Laloo's biggest mistake was tagging himself with secularist; his combination would have worked if he joined caste with Hindutava.

I think reason may be to get clearance from fodder scam and tagging with Congress helped him for one decade but it cost his political future in Bihar.

His scam is much smaller than Sonia's and Manmohan Singh scams.

It is possible, Laloo is still busy with other scams which we don't know at this moment.

I think he supports people based on which side of the bed he gets up. Once he was supporting JJ, then he opposed her. Once he influenced her to pull down Vajapayee government; then later he pulled (or attempted to pull) JJ government. I might have the order mixed up, because he has turned so often. The only thing he has kept constant is penchant for filing cases. Sometimes it does work for dharma. Sometimes I wonder who is he working for?

Standing up to Secularists is wrong, standing up to pseudo-secularists is right. But what do I know.....

ps: I wasted Rs150 and bought his book "Hindus under siege"; a disappointing book.

You might say the same thing about the BJP too hopping between AIADMK and the DMK.

Secularists in India are Hindus opposed to Sanathana Dharma or being anti-Hindu. If you are one of them I am sorry for you.

As for your wasting Rs.150/- it tells me a lot about your comprehension. But then you are who you are, I shouldn't complain!

Live! Yeddy stays Karnataka CM: Nitin Gadkari
"The super secular media and especially the achaayan lobby from Kerala planted in Hindustan Times etc. are active proclaiming that it is Nithish alone that won. They are cleverly driving a wedge between BJP and Nitish for the congress to cover its total eclipse from the recognition. Nira Radias are the last resort of the congress in the game. All the English national dailies give a helping hand to this Christian game. See what is the problem in Karnataka. Devagowda and S.M.Krishna while they were chief ministers started the policy of giving government land for private purposes. Kumaraswami perfected it. S.M.Krishna leads the same in awarding more than 650 sites running into thousands of acres to his son in law and other favourites. Present CM also followed the same policy to a lesser extent. So the entire frame work for this was set by the congress and the Gowdas. Those in the secular media who want Yeddiyoorappa to resign don’t utter a word about the S.M.Krishana who is the current External Affairs Minister in the Union Government. What a double standard! And they go on repeating the falsehood that this is equivavalent to Raja’s loot of 176000000000000 from the exchequer and congress’ loot of 700000000000 and Adarsh housing scam. When Yeddyurappa appoints a commission headed by retired SC judge Kumaraswamy says he will boycott it! Why?!"

There is a need to analyze Bihar results beyond the media hype and BJP's landslide. JDU:BJP = 115:91. BJP got 91 out of 102 and though as a BJP supporter, I enjoy it but it is unbeleivable.

Nitish needs only just 8 more to simple majority on his own. Not a big deal at all if he really needs. But BJP needs 32 for the majic number. Actually better than the worst fears. BJP positioned itself in a very good situation.

Just ponder over a specific facts

(1)Muslims voted for BJP even more than JDU or RJD+ or INC. Why suddenly Bihar Muslims will vote for BJP?

(2)Yadav deserted Laloo and voted for Nitish/BJP in pure Yadav constituencies. We need to get the real split in Yadav constituencies between JDU and BJP. Is the BJP victory bigger than JDU among Yadavs? Did Yadavs really shifted?

In the glory, we tend to forget the larger game <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

One wild statement - Did BJP also got handle on the EVMs? <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> Mullahs are voting to Modi and BJP. Or is it India has changed that we are just not having any pulse but CNN-IBN knows everything.

The Congress had conceded defeat in a gentlemanly fashion unlike in Gujarat for two reasons: i) that the coalition is headed by a 'secular' party and not a 'fundamental hindu' party in the concept of the Congressmen; ii) that Muslims and Yadhavs have deserted both Laloo and the Congress. So even the Congressmen won't pick up your 'wild statement' on the misuse of EVMs.

Oh, by the way, The BJP could have bargained with JDU for more seats but decided not to give in to the media and Lalu to blow the differences out of proportion. In the coming Lok Sabha election the role will be reversed between the JDU and the BJP in terms of seats.

When Muslims desert Congress they go to nearest non-NDA. Here is a case they are plunging into BJP. What is the reason for such a situation?

Savitri ji - Mind should work over emotion. Especially when all polls fail and only CNN-IBN's research succeeds. Tomorrow in a Gen election Congress gets 280 seats. The analysis will be like this:

Rahul is the leader of the nation and hence nation voted Rahul. Congress lacks state leaders and they are losing in states. BJP has good state leaders but zero national leaders. They can easily put a twenty page article like that. We all will fall for that except the Rahul stuff and start blaming BJP leaders.

Though I may be a minority in this analysis, I side with Laloo's statement regarding this election - The results are misterious.

The answer is in line with our Hindu Vedanta. For the one who doesn't know the Real (Brahman) it is all an inexplicable mystery (Maya)!

I am trying to figure out procedure, who controls election process. All election commissioners are Sonia's stooges. Whether locals control machines?

Election after Emergency, my father was in-charge of New Delhi Race Course, and Gole Market polling area. He came home with all sealed bags, which checks officer in-charge of polling booths. There were some sample ballots and some other documents. After election he come home very late, He was suspicious that Sanjay Gandhi will cheat because he was making rounds with Maken and Tytler in that area, so after closing polling, he followed the truck carrying ballot boxes till collection center. Result we know, Congress lost big time.

Cheating can happen with old ballots style when they carry boxes to collection center or hijack polling booth.

Basically, polling places receives sealed bags and seals are opened at the polling booth. With EVM, it should be initialized at the beginning, because at the counting center, parties voluenters check seals etc and sit there to watch counting.

Indian EVM are without paper trail, serious flaw. In US they are able to manipulate EVM, here elections are run by local level.

Reddy, who was the Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly, takes charge as the chief minister, following the resignation of K Rosaiah earlier today.

Reddy's name had been doing the rounds since the past couple of weeks ever since it was rumoured that Rosaiah would be stepping down.

Earlier in the day, it was indicated that Geeta Reddy who is from the Telangana region would be made the deputy chief minister.

Quote:“If you want me to complete the unfinished task of taking Bihar on the path of prosperity and good governance, don’t think of candidates,” this was Nitish’s message to voters directly and indirectly during his hectic campaign.

Development was surely the flesh and blood of Nitish’s campaign, but what enlivened his appeal to voters was the comparison he evoked between Lalu and himself. In plain and simple words, he reminded the voters of lawless Bihar during the Lalu era when the State made headlines only for kidnappings and massacres and his own five years of peace and development, and the people unfailingly cheered him with applause and slogans.

Turning the Assembly election into a referendum between Lalu and himself helped Nitish overcome several negatives. For example, at least seven of his MPs — Mahabali Singh, Purnmasi Ram, Lalan Singh, Arjun Rai, Sushil Singh, Mangli Lal Mandal, Monazir Hasan and Upendra Kuswaha — were openly working against party candidates. Similarly, there was an apprehension that the upper castes, who were virtually ignored by the JD(U) in ticket distribution, would cast their lot with Lalu Prasad, who was trying to project himself as their saviour in a new avatar.

As Lalu Prasad launched a high-decibel attack against Nitish and Rabri Devi went to the extent of dubbing the Chief Minister as chor, the JD(U) leaders kept asking the electorate to see the “true face” of the husband-wife duo before casting the vote. By loud-mouthed assertions that he was all set to return to power, Lalu also created a fear psychosis in the mind of the upper caste, which returned to Nitish’s fold lock, stock and barrel. Instead of claiming that the result was a “mystery”, Lalu and Paswan will do well to understand the changing mindset of Bihar. Else, they will never emerge from the political gutter that the voters have dumped them into.

I think people were scared of Laloo's nightmare rule in Bihar. I think that may have changed voters to move towards Nitish. I was checking result, so many place they had won less than 1000 votes. Opposition was divided, that also helped Nitish.
