Congress Undemocratic Ideology - 4
Interesting tit bits from Politicsparty. http://www.politicsparty.com/SONIA_MANMOHAN_WAR.php

Sonia belongs to China lobby and Manmohan belongs to US lobby and protecting interest of Europe.

We knew about this, no hidden secret here. Most amazing, they are destroying India openly and Indians are sleeping.

Tn refusal of the Government and other authorities to reimburse the expenses of desperately needed Ayurvedic treatment of Naik PV Manesh, a former NSG commando who lives with paralysis suffered while fighting Pakistani terrorists during the 26/11 attack on Hotel Oberoi in Mumbai is a shame on the whole country and a blot on our collective conscience. If a nation that is constantly under threat of terrorism cannot look after security personnel wounded while battling jihadis then it has a bleak future staring at it in the face. The Government of India, which has thousands of crores of rupees to squander on the NAC’s cockamamie schemes, has refused to pay a paltry Rs 4,000 a month to Naik Manesh, who was awarded the Shaurya Chakra for his valorous role during the 26/11 terror strike, to meet the expenses of the Ayurvedic treatment which is his only hope for overcoming the paralysis that has rendered his limbs immobile. http://dailypioneer.com/354764/Blot-on-o...ience.html

PTI | New Delhi

Congress today did not take lightly to Mani Shankar Aiyar's description of the "mela" in the party as a "circus" calling him a "loose canon" and that his remarks were "uncalled for".

"Unfortunately, Mani Shankar Aiyar has a reputation of being a loose canon at the deck of Indian politics. He has been a member of the Congress party for a fairly long time and such remarks are absolutely uncalled for," said party spokesperson Manish Tewari.

He was reacting to Aiyar's remarks at a book release function likening the happenings around the residence of Sonia Gandhi, Ahmed Patel and the party headquarters to a circus.

At the AICC headquarters, party General Secretary Janardhanan Dwivedi also disapproved of Aiyar's remarks.

"In the life of a nation, there are certain symbols and one should be more careful and sensitive about them," Dwivedi rpt Dwivedi said.

However, Aiyar today sought to downplay his remarks clarifying that "it was not the party but the mela at 24, Akbar Road (Congress headquarters) that I had described as a circus."

SG to undergo surgery in US for unknown condition

Quote:Posted: Thu Aug 04 2011, 13:43 hrs

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi will undergo a surgery in the United States for an undisclosed medical condition even as she constituted a four-member group comprising Rahul Gandhi to oversee its functioning in her absence that is likely to be for nearly a month.

Making a brief announcement, Congress General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi, told reporters in Parliament House that the 64-year-old leader was recently diagnosed with a medical condition and was advised surgery.

“Smt Sonia Gandhi has been recently diagnosed with a medial condition that requires surgery. On the advice of doctors, she has travelled abroad and she is likely to be away for two to three weeks,” he said.

Gandhi, accompanied by her son Rahul, had left earlier this week to an undisclosed destination in the US. Congress party was silent over when she left and where she was undergoing treatment.

Dwivedi had earlier said that Gandhi had undergone a successful surgery but clarified later that the operation would be carried out in a day or two. <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />

He said Gandhi has decided that in her absence a group comprising Rahul Gandhi and senior leaders A K Antony, Ahmed Patel and Dwivedi will look after party affairs.

It is significant that Rahul will form part of the committee that has only one senior minister of the government and two leaders from the organisation.

Asked to explain the absence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee from the group, Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari said: “They (the Prime Minister and Finance Minister) are senior members who have been active in the organisation for long.” <img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

To a question about her health condition and the kind of surgery, she has to undergo, Tiwari declined to go into details.

“Even public personalities are entitled to certain amount of privacy in so far as their medical condition is concerned. Our friends in media should bear that sensitivity in mind,” he said.

While it was not immediately clear about the nature of the medical problem, sources within the party said Gandhi had undergone a few tests over the past two days.

Ever since Dwivedi's announcement in the morning, there was speculation about the nature of her problem. In December, 2007, Gandhi was admitted for a week in the Ganga Ram Hospital where she was said to have been under treatment of an eminent gynaecologist.

The sources said she had earlier also visited the US for medical examination and the surgery had been planned in advance
.

The Congress President had not been keeping well in the past and because of her illness, she could not attend meetings of the Congress Core Group as also that of the Parliamentary Strategy Committee.

It could be just removal of Uterus along with cervix. The most common cancer in women. I just cannot think it is any big deal and these days it is laproscopic and they generally allow to go just after 24 hours. They ask to three weeks of rest with no heavy lifting and climbing stairs etc.

However, SG being the celebrity Indian politician, they will utilize it to their advantage. Right now congress party is going through a bad bad situaiton interms of perception and public image. Not that it is electorally damaging. However, if the bad perception grows the thoughts are that Gandhis may lose their clout over the party.

Hence it is important to use the occassion using media and the INC chamchaas to create a sympathy. Using this they want to transfer her role to her son. They may not be interested in PM and governance. They just want to be head of the mafia and not responsibility of governance.

UP elections could be a target.

(Can't be both catholic and heathen - see babble. So which is it.)

I suspect this sudden turn may be owing to Chavez being rumoured to have cancer, and him willing to bet on all horses now.

Well, if only one of the two catholics in control and who have cancer can come out of it - Sonia or Chavez - Chavez is the man.

Sadly, India still has Constantine waiting in the wings to take over from Mama Santa Helena I mean Antonia. And that's if she kicks the bucket sooner rather than later. (I guess if she were to be seen calling for the priest now, one may have more indication about the possible outcome...)

Quote:The point to note is that when it comes to the ‘first family’, the media’s thirst for investigative journalism evaporates into handout journalism. This is despite the fact that the country has been routinely misled on many occasions. When Sonia failed to be present in the opening sessions of Parliament, it was put out (by unnamed sources) that she was suffering from ‘viral fever’ — an explanation that was believable in the context of the epidemic doing the rounds of Delhi. When, last year, she abruptly cancelled her meeting with the visiting British Prime Minister it was again put out that the family had to rush overseas because Sonia’s mother wasn’t keeping too well.

No one ever claimed ownership of these doubtful explanations of the Gandhi family’s movements. For year after year, even as fawning courtiers celebrated Rahul Gandhi’s birthday, the birthday boy never happened to be in the country. Delhi resonated with idle speculation over where the birthday was actually celebrated. However, for the media the Congress general secretary’s travel itinerary was never the subject of any inquiry. Even the Right to Information Act has failed to yield any information on the issue — presumably because it has ‘security’ implications.

The Gandhi family has wrapped itself in so much needless secrecy that it has fuelled bizarre conspiracy theories — some of them tasteless. Many of these have been in circulation over the past few days. Congress leaders can decry such irresponsible chatter, especially when it concerns someone’s health, but it would be prudent to recognise that the root of misinformation is the information blackout.

It is everyone’s hope that Sonia has a speedy recovery and is able to resume normal life as soon as possible. If she needs a quiet period of recuperation, it is only right that she be spared the intrusive gaze of publicity. At the same time, her illness and absence has implications that have a bearing on the functioning of the Government. In striking a balance between patient confidentiality and authentic information, there are enough good precedents to follow.

All four members of steering committee are non-performers if you look deep. However by designating a command structure she is ensuring there is a command structure in place unlike post Rajiv time.

Times are bad for INC and India as BJP is not ready. Its upper echelon is beholden to INC as you can see from Karnataka drama. And to make things worse the media is totally in ronin mode and deosnt knwo who and whats it is attacking.

So time to be cautious for next 18 months. The good thing is by then EU will be down and out and take quite few with them.

August 5, 2011 by janamejayan

By K.B.NAIR

CERRITOS , CA – In a hard hitting speech Janata Party Leader, Dr Subramanian Swamy lashed out at the Congress administration and its role in the several corruption scandals which are rocking India and proclaimed that the country is on the verge of a major upheaval in which by the end of the year many in the present Government would find themselves out of power and behind bars. He made this statement at a public meeting organized by the Bhartiya Vichar Manch in the Sierra Room of the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on July 31. He went on to state that the strong movement against corruption is gaining momentum and predicted it would lead to elections being called early next year.

Dr Swamy started his address following the screening of a short video titled “ India- Republic of Scams” which briefly outlines the state of affairs in India resulting from alleged large scale scams and urges people to get involved in saving the country from disaster. Against this background Dr Swamy broke down his speech into three broad headings starting with what is corruption, followed by how it negatively impacts the country and finally what is the solution to the problem.

In defining corruption as a crime when a public office is misused for private gain, Dr Swamy said he was not referring to the small sums of money which changes hands at lower administrative levels which he thinks is unpreventable. What he finds disturbing is the scale to which corruption has escalated depriving the Government of several million dollars of revenue and thereby seriously undermining the financial stability of the nation. He went into the details a couple of such cases where ministers had used their positions for their personal financial gain or their kith and kin. The first he touched on related to the construction of the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project which proposed to link the Palk Bay and the Gulf of Manar. Dr Swamy alleges the project was aggressively promoted with the intention of benefiting the companies of family and relatives of the then Shipping Minister through construction, shipping and dredging contracts related to the project.

Swamy speaks to his admirers after his address

The second was the most volatile and recent 2G scam over which controversy is still raging across the country. A significant part of his address was devoted to this subject in which after explaining its technical details he went on to describe how the then Telecommunications Minister A. Raja, by twisting the rules, masterminded the sale of spectrum to Swan and Unitech in which he had a stake, at throwaway prices on account of which the nation lost a staggering $ 40 billion in revenue.

This apart, he added the complex international financial transactions involved in the process would in itself pose immense security risks as anti national individuals and organizations had stakes in the foreign companies associated with the scheme, which in turn could be utilized to finance and support its own terrorist activities in India. Dr.Swamy named individuals who had connections to the gangster Dawood Ibrahim and the ISI.

Every time Dr Subramanian Swamy quoted how he had thwarted efforts by those in power to cover the scams by moving the Courts, he was met with thunderous applause from the audience.

Among the more serious ramifications of accumulation of such huge quantities of unaccounted wealth Dr Swamy stated was the lavish life style of those possessing them because of which there is an alarming shift from production of consumer goods for the average general public to the catering of luxury goods to the rich where the margins are far more attractive. Also inevitable is the skyrocketing prices of real estate and the illegal trade in food items and necessities resulting in inflation shooting to 16%. Another is the stashing of undeclared wealth in foreign banks which not only do not pay interest but charge a 2% service fee thus depriving the country of crores of rupees of revenue for its social programs. He also went on to explain procedures through which by the use of “participatory notes” the payment of Capital gains tax is cleverly avoided in transactions involving foreign currency.

The impressive audience at the talk.

In providing solutions to the colossal corruption problem Dr Swamy expressed the prevailing laws are sufficient but time consuming but in the short term he suggested the appointment of an independent prosecutor with sufficient powers to proceed legally against those who break the law so swift justice is arrived at. As an example he quoted the case of Bernie Madoff in the US who was convicted and incarcerated within 6 months whereas Ramalinga Raju’s case in the Satyam scandal is still pending mired in the Indian legal system for years. In the long term he called for a Renaissance of Indian traditional social values of Sanatan Dharma and by giving up the current trend of the relentless pursuit of making money ushered in by the hunger for material prosperity and globalization. He pointed out that money alone does not bring happiness as it proven by the fact that droves of wealthy individuals are arriving in India to find peace and purpose in their lives.

The low key organizers were content to let the speaker of the day take center stage and the event was pleasantly free of photo ops making it easy for the audience to focus on Dr.Swamy’s talk. Earlier Hari Pothulu had made the welcome and housekeeping remarks before Dr Subramanian Swamy was introduced by Ram Kumar. Dr Vinod Ambastha moderated the lively Q & A session that concluded the event.

Any updates from anywhere on SG's health?

Satyam scam was to fund the YSR cabal*. RR couldn't handle the demands anymore. So he confessed the scam publically or else he would have been accidented. He went belly up and forced GOI to preserve his comanpy in another name.

They will keep him on liquid oxygen lest he reveal more of their dirty laundry.

*CBN made the first inroads. When he lost YSR took over massively.

CBI inquiry into jagan Reddy's assets is going to be selective to threaten Jagan but not going to be a comprehensive one because Madam is involved. Naturally this inquiry is going nowhere.

Madam's 'sickness' is essentially to promote her son. We already see fake polls wanting him as PM! The truth is that Nehru dynasty has already peaked. Tamilnadu election results are a great harbinger to the impending revolution in Indian politics that Dr.Swamy is talking about. I wish our friends in this forum fully digest it.

Those who rely on the Madam & son are going to feel the heat and hopefully join the Tihar Club!

"It is a matter of concern," home minister P Chidambaram told reporters at the GoM Media briefing when asked whether the Centre was concerned with the tug of war between the police officers of Gujarat and the state government over the 2002 riots.

Asked whether the Centre can intervene to resolve the crisis, the home minister said, "Rules do provide for central government to take certain decisions at certain stages but that stage has to be invoked by officer concerned. If officer concerned invokes the rule, certainly we will look into it." http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india...580808.cms
