Another strange phenomenon I have observed among female ABCD's is a near obsequious acceptance of american universalism,and championing to the point of rammimg down someone's throat. This is followed by scathing critism of anything Indian ranging from social customs to taste in aesthetics, to trend in movies. Occasional condescending praise is thrown in once in a while(though the latter is rarer than mirage in a desert!). This variety of expats are distinctly western, mostly US citizens, given away from by the almost zombie like confidence supported by near religious faith in american exceptionalism. Their perception of the world around them is guided by the dominant ethnicity in US : the WASP variety. Nearly all behave like wannabe whites.
What the do not understand,u is that the bluster of bravado can be easily seen through by any seasoned US watcher, and showthem for what they are : some extremely insecure and vulnerable people, in desperate need of companionship.
