Not just dogs and cats. In the U.S. there are huge fiery protests against the few horse meat slaughterhouses. Apparently horse meat is in high demand in France, but the protesters say that the Horse is the symbol of the old West (Western U.S.) and therefore should not be eaten. Holy Horses! Now that's hypocrisy.
Japan didn't become a truly independent civilization because their population of 125 million is too small. India which is basically 10 x Japans will be too big to be controlled hence the fear of India and the constant reiteration in the Western Media that India is not really one country etc. Many Western strategists don't want to convert India 100% to Christianity. Infact they would prefer the East Timor strategy. Convert enough to carve Christian Kingdoms out of the Indian state to weaken it.
