Christian Subversion And Missionary Activities - 6
#1
^ All converts at the bottom of the christian societal rung tend to *want* to revolt but still do so from within christianism (this is symptomatic of the christian abuse against the human mind: abuse victim makes excuses for abuser, blames itself). See African churches in America. Less obvious is the example of Philipinos - who know all about European christian imperialism and what it did to who they were - but still they are christian. See Rwandans.
At best converts osmose from christianism into islamism, into christianism (Algeria) into islamism, into... etc.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Inculturation: Fooling the Hindu Masses</b>
Nithin Sridhar
15 Jun 2009

<b>Early in 1982, Father Joseph Parekatil of the Catholic Church of Parasahi, Madhya Pradesh, destroyed the sacred murti of Goddess Visveshwari Siddheswari, enshrined on the nearby Nawain Tekdi hill, and erected a small wooden cross.</b> Later, on 18 February 1983, a 31-foot high concrete cross was illegally erected on the hill. A month later, enraged villagers destroyed the cross.

On 20 February 1985, intent on regaining possession of the hill, Father Parekatil put on the orange robes of a Hindu sannyasin, built a hut on the hill, sat on a tiger skin and began performing worship in the Hindu style. As a result, thousands of simple Hindus came to the hill on Fridays, unaware of the deception going on before their eyes.

On 18 May, a complaint was registered, but to no avail. Again there was agitation in the area, and this time, on 1 October 1985, the villagers tore down the priest’s hut and tossed away the remaining pieces of the concrete cross. Father Parekatil gave up only when he was arrested a week later for breach of peace (1).

Father Parekatil’s tactic of adopting Hindu symbols to further his missionary goals is known as “inculturation” or “indigenization.” Swami Jayendra Saraswati, Sankaracharya of Kanchi Matham, made a valid point at the “Interfaith Dialogue” with Cardinal Jean-Louis Pierre Tauran, president of the Vatican’s Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue, and others,  in Mumbai on 12 July 2009.

About the last paragraph:
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Under such situation, no inter-faith interactions will bring any fruits unless the “church” mends its ways. As the Kanchi Perivaar rightly affirms: “After such inter-faith meetings, the points agreed have to be faithfully abided. Otherwise the will be no point in holding such meetings. Unless the Church reassures Hindus that it will not conduct itself in a manner that wounds Hindu sensibilities and follows up on those assurances, such inter-faith meetings, no matter how frequently they are held, will be futile and will not serve any meaningful cause.”<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Swami is too goodytwoshoes (this is not an accusation). He's a Swamy and as such does not want to spread ill-will.

But Hindus may make a more complete stand.
<i>No</i> agreements.
There can never be any compromise or acceptance to coexist with christianism. It will forever plot the demise of all others - this is an integral characteristic of the mindvirus. Also, it has the blood of countless millions on its hands and will still lust after the blood of the remaining. If Hindus choose to coexist with christianism to whatever degree and for whatever reasons (for the sake of 'national integrity' for instance), then they are willing to accept that serial mass-genocides are forgiveable and that it's okay for christianism to have brutally murdered out Greco-Roman Religio and other European Natural Traditions, to have mercilessly crushed most of African spirituality and right to liberty, and to have bloodily genocided Native Americans. That it's okay what christianism has done and is doing to our Hindus and what it has been doing to Asia.
With such 'forgiveness' of what christianism has done to others in the world, one may at least be equally forgiving of what christianism still wants to do to Hindus, Hindu Dharma and Bharatam. Not hypocrites, right. Can stop complaining then altogether, since how are our present complaints (against the aggressiveness and murderous violence of 'the missionaries' and 'the church' - i.e. christianism) any more valid than the protestations aginst the violations of the rights of other victims of christianism?

There's no associating and no coexisting with the genocidal meme; allowing it to remain in our world without resistance is to accept its guilt and becomes part of national Karma (if there is such a thing). It should be universally and completely ostracised, from Hindu society and from Hindu minds. Any less would imply that one thinks it is possible for people to live with a bit of the enemy in their midst, that leaving a bit of a forest-fire to burn on is sensible.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Irish child abuser a regular at Kochi orphanage for years</b>
14/06/2009 14:35:17  timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/msid-4651157,prtpage-1.cms

CHENNAI: A 77-year-old surgeon from Dublin, who was exposed last week by the Irish media as a child sex abuser for 35 years, has been visiting an orphanage in India where he had ‘sponsored’ at least two children, TOI has learnt. After the expose, over 200 of his former patients complained that Michael Shine, who retired from Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Ireland, had sexually abused them.

Sources told TOI that Shine has been frequenting SOS Children’s Village in Kochi for the last few years. He had sponsored two children at the orphanage and used to visit them. Child rights activists are shocked that a person of such character has been mingling with children, exposing them to the risk of sexual abuse.

SOS Children’s Villages Of India national director Rakesh Ginsi confirmed that Shine was a sponsor of a couple of children at the Kochi home, but ruled out the possibility of him sexually abusing their children. ‘‘Shine was one of our several sponsors. In that capacity, he was allowed to meet the children, but never alone. We have a robust child protection policy that allows sponsors to meet the children only in the presence of our representative. We didn’t know about his antecedents when we accepted his sponsorship. We have communicated that we are unable to revive his sponsorship,’’ says Ginsi.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Inculturation: Crime and cunningness of Catholic Church
B R Haran

Cardinal Oswald Gracias was one of the brains behind the designing, printing and releasing of the “Indian Bible” which contained hundreds of sacred verses usurped from Hindu texts such as the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Mahabharata and the Bhagwat Gita.

The motive was to cheat the gullible masses and covertly lure them to follow Christianity. At the time of the Indian Bible’s release in June 2008, the Cardinal had stated that this Bible, made in India and for Indians, would bring the word of God closer to millions of people, not only Christians.

Yet the very same Cardinal Oswald Gracias stoutly denied any knowledge about this Indian Bible at the press conference held immediately after the interfaith dialogue on 12 June 2009 in Mumbai. So much for Catholic honesty!

Ironically, the Cardinal is a founder patron of the Global Foundation for Civilisational Harmony (GFCH). Even during the interfaith dialogue, the Cardinal and other Catholic leaders, including the representative of the Vatican, denied the ‘inculturation’ charges against them and put the blame on other denominations of Christianity. Their ‘honesty’ regarding the Indian Bible was exposed during the press meet; what follows is an exposure of their honesty regarding inculturation techniques.

Secular Melmaruvathur

Melmaruvathur Adhi Parasakthi Temple is situated on the Chennai-Trichy National Highway (NH45), in a place called ‘Melmaruvathur,’ approximately 95 kms from Chennai. This is ‘believed’ to be the sacred abode of 21 Siddhars (saints), male as well as female, from different religions (!) and their “Jeeva Samadhis” (spots where they attained ‘siddhi’ and left their human forms, while living still as holy spirits) are believed to be inside the premises over which the temple has been constructed.

Starting as a Temple built by Sri Bangaru Adigal, lovingly called “Amma” by his devotees, it has diversified into many fields of ‘charity,’ such as education and health. Goddess Adhi Parasakthi herself is believed to have performed many miracles through Bangaru Adigal’s “Oracles” (‘Arul Vaakku’ in Tamil) and that is why he is devotionally addressed as “Amma” (Mother). This place is totally ‘secular’ in the sense that people of all caste, colour, creed, gender and religion are allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum and perform pujas to the presiding deity of Parasakthi. The full name of the Temple is “Suyambu Arulmigu Annai Adhi Parasakthi Siddhar Peetam” and Shri Bangaru Adigal has millions of devotees.
(Ref: http://www.sakthipeedam.org/siddharpeetam.html).

Christian Achirupaakkam Hillock

Going from Chennai to Melmaruvathur, one has to cross a place called ‘Achirupaakkam’ (after Chingleput and Madurantakam) where one can see the huge slogan “Mariye Vaazhga” (long live Mary) written on a hillock. Moving closer, a huge statue of Jesus on a Cross will be visible on the top of the hillock. It is more than five years since the Catholic Church encroached upon the hill and took it over.

The Catholic Church has built a prayer house at the top and placed a statue of Mary inside it; this Mary is called “Mazhai Malai Maadhaa” (Rain-Hill Mother). The Church also laid a stairway from the basement by digging the ground, breaking the rocks and rearranging the boulders. In between it constructed two arches, one with the slogan “Mariyin vazhiyil manitham malara” (“Let humanism blossom by the path of Mary”) and the other identifying the place as “Arputha Nagaram” (Miracle Town).

The hill falls under the Pallipat Panchayat and the porumboke land on the hillock comes under the control of the Forest Department. A huge Church is under construction and all these conquests, constructions and occupations are illegal and unauthorized, but achieved with the connivance of government authorities who have been “taken care of” by the Catholic Church.

Hindu Achirupaakkam

The Achirupaakkam town is situated opposite the hillock and houses a famous ancient Shiva temple. The Pakkapureswarar Temple’s presiding deities are Sundaranayagi (female deity) and Atchikondanathar or Pakkapureswarar (male deity). The Sthal Purana (temple history) states that: Bhagwan Shiva once set out on a mission in a chariot to destroy the Tripura demons (Tripurasamharam). Bhagwan Shiva forgot to think about Bhagwan Vinayaka who has to be worshipped by all before commencing any kind of work for success.

In view of this, the axle (‘Achchu’ in Tamil) of Bhagwan Shiva's chariot broke here and hence this Sivasthalam came to be known as ‘Achirupaakkam’(‘Achchu-Itru’ or ‘Axle-broken’).

It is said that the axle of a Pandya king's chariot also broke down here as he was bringing soil from the Ganges for building a dam across a river. Kannuva Munivar and Gautama Munivar are said to have worshipped Bhagwan Shiva at this Sivasthalam and Thirugnaana Sambandhar composed and sung a Thevaram hymn praising the presiding deity.
(Ref: http://www.shivatemples.com/index.html).

Catholic Church’s nefarious designs

After planting the cross, constructing the prayer house and placing the statues of Jesus and Mary with the full connivance of government authorities, the Christians indulged in a heavy harvest of souls in and around the villages near the hillock. They have already converted 40% of the local populace by fraudulent means.

They have organised “Hindu” rituals (inculturation techniques) like lighting lamps (instead of candles), incense sticks (agarbati) and performing of ‘Archana’ inside the prayer house. They stop the devotees of Melmaruvathur Adi Parasakthi Temple midway and force them to visit the prayer house by saying that the same “Adi Parasakthi” of Melmaruvathur is blessing devotees here on the hillock in the form of “Mary Amman.”

Similar to the “Girivalam” of Tiruvannamalai hills, the padris here have arranged for “Girivalam” (circumambulation around the hillock) during full moon (Purnima) days. A large section of the ignorant and innocent masses who visit Melmaruvathur have started visiting this hillock on their way to and from Melmaruvathur. As the inflow of ‘devotees’ increases day by day, Christians have started collecting money from them for the construction of the new Church.

The weakness of Hindus

The absolute absence of any Hindu organisations in the locality has come in handy for the Catholic Church to go ahead with its nefarious designs very fast. Though the local Hindus were against the Church, they couldn’t do anything due to the absence of an organised Hindu body.

Four years ago, the VHP gathered information and published a story about the Church’s activities in its official organ “Indumithran”. The Church briefly kept a low profile after planting the cross due to protests form local Hindus.

Meanwhile, the Church converted a considerable section of the local people and again started construction activities on the hillock. After the completion of the stairway, tar road and the prayer house, the Church erected the huge ‘Crucified Jesus’ statue on the top and the statue of “Mazhai Malai Maathaa” (Mother Mary) inside the prayer house. Hindus woke up from their slumber only after seeing the huge statue of Crucified Jesus.

Corrupt government’s connivance and anti-Hindu stance

The officials belonging to the Forest Department, Collectorate, District Revenue office and other departments such as Panchayats, turned a blind eye to the unauthorised and illegal construction activities by the Catholic Church. They also refused to cooperate with the Hindus. When Hindus gave a protest memorandum a year ago, the authorities including the Collector and District Revenue Officer deliberately failed to take any action against the Church.

The local people and Hindu Munnani activists from Chennai say there is a Shiva Temple on the hillock on the other side, which was desecrated and looted by Islamic forces when Malik Kafur invaded South India. As the Church has done everything illegally, Hindu activists attempted to place a huge “Vel” (spear) near a “Neem” tree under which the village deity (grama devata) once stood, and write “Om Nama sivaya” on the top of the hill. But police acted swiftly and arrested all of them; they were released only after paying a fine of Rs.5000/-.

Meanwhile the Catholic Church made a false claim that it had got the land on a 99-year lease. When Shri Parameswaran, a Hindu Munnani activist, applied for the details through the RTI Act, the Collectorate replied that no lease was given to the Church and no permission for construction of either roads or stairway or buildings was given. Based on the information given by the government itself, when Hindu Munnani organised a ‘signature campaign’ and submitted a protest memorandum two months ago, the district authorities and local Panchayat President assured them they would take immediate action; so far no action has been taken.

Parameswaran recalled that, “Until 1977, the Shiva temple with a Ganesha murti (Uchchi Pillayar) was also there though in a dilapidated condition, and people used to visit it regularly. As the priest found it very difficult to go up and down twice a day due to absence of a proper pathway, he brought the deity down and placed it at the basement. During the year 1977, anti-social elements at the behest of vested interests, hung a dead body at the entrance. The issue became a police case after which the people stopped visiting. After years of prolonging the police closed the case ten years back saying it was a suicide. The officials have not given us permission either to place the Trishul or Vel near the neem tree or to write “Om Nama shivaya” or even to dig a borewell for want of water. But the same officials have allowed the Church to construct everything illegally. We are finding it difficult to construct even a stairway to the Shiva Temple, which has been there for ages.”

This is a clear case of “Dravidian-Minority” nexus which is wreaking havoc in the state against the Hindu majority.

Present status

Hindu Munnani activists under the leadership of Parameswaran conducted an awareness campaign followed by another protest demonstration on 14 June 2009. Hindu Munnani has also uploaded a three minute film on “You tube,” which shows a glimpse of the statues, prayer house, arches, stairway, tar road, and construction activities, after a small introduction in Tamil by Shri Parameswaran.

<b>Sexual Relations between Nuns & Priests </b>

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->NEW DELHI: Money, power and even sex are corrupting the church and anybody who dares speak up is gagged, says a Kerala nun who left her congregation last year amid much controversy and whose autobiography has just been published in English.

"The rot in the church has set in because of affluence and power. The spirit of Jesus is depreciating. The greed for money and power is allowing all sorts of evil to creep in," said Sister Jesme, 52, who had left the Congregation of the Mother of Carmel in Kerala On Aug 31, 2008.

"With wealth and power come sex. The ambience of service and simplicity should be brought back," she told IANS over the phone from Kozhikode.

"Amen: The Autobiography of a Nun" was published in Malayalam in the third week of February this year. The English version of the controversial book, which takes a critical look at the church, was published by Penguin Books-India this week.

Sister Jesme, the former principal of St. Mary's College in Thrissur, decided to write her autobiography after leaving the order.

The nun said the authorities' repeated attempts to declare her "insane" was the immediate cause for her to leave her congregation. "They were trying to malign my reputation with false charges and medicate me. I pleaded for a month's time, after which I decided to walk out," she said.

"Anybody who dares to speak out is gagged. The church does it all the time. They had done it to another sister in Kerala after diaries containing details about abortions in the church and illicit sexual relations were discovered. When the Women's Commission in Kerala visited her in the asylum to bring her back, she was taking 12 tablets a day."

The book documents her 33 years as a nun. It speaks of the corruption by way of donations, sexual relations between nuns and priests and "same sex" relations between nuns.

Her congregation apparently forged "anonymous letters" branding her a lesbian to remove her from the post of principal of the college, she writes in her book.

The book also discusses class distinctions whereby "cheduthies" or poorer or less educated sisters do menial work and there is a gap between comforts enjoyed by priests and nuns, hinting at gender imbalance.

Some of the priests are so rich that they own two cars, Sister Jesme said.
The demand for nuns, says Sister Jesme, is growing every day because the church has fanned across the state with schools and colleges. "The nuns man these institutions and make up the faculties. The demand for novices is so great that the church is now recruiting from school campuses. Some of the novices are as young as Class 10 students. The bottom line now is quantity, not quality," she said.

All our education institutions are in profit, but very little money is going for charity. The money of the people is in the hands of the church, but there is no accountability," she said.

Sister Jesme was drawn to religious life at 17 after a retreat at a junior college. She was allowed by the church to complete her post-graduate and doctoral degree in English literature and to pursue her passion for cinema and literature.

"I even exposed my students to films believing aesthetics enhances spirituality," she said. But her fight to restore her congregation to its "monastic form," her creative thought processes and her wit landed her in trouble.

The book is full of anecdotes - like priests allegedly kissing novices and Christian colleges collecting capitation fee.

"I am planning to write a novel about a woman who is a little different from the ordinary women," said Sister Jesme, who is also fighting another battle at the moment - a thyroid malfunction.

1. Important comment by Swami Devananda Saraswati ("Ishwar Sharan") on the Vijayvaani article that AryaK posted 2 up in #574:
http://www.vijayvaani.com/FrmPublicDisplay...cle.aspx?id=638
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->  The idea to incorporate Hindu scriptures into the Christian Bible originated with the Inculturation missionary Fr. Bede Griffiths aka Swami Dayananda of Sachidananda Ashram, also known as Shanti Vanam, near Trichy. He reasoned that as the Church was able to incorporated the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) with its primitive concept of a jealous creator God into the Christian Bible, it was logical for the Church to incorporate the far more sophisticated concepts of God found in the Vedas and Upanishads into an Indian Christian Bible. Theologians like Fr. Raimond Panikkar, who knew Sanskrit and had a knowledge of Hindu scripture, agreed with Griffiths though he pretended to be a critic of Griffiths' inculturation tactics. <b>Now we see that Griffiths' idea of joining the Veda with the New Testament, and therefore "fulfilling" the Vedic religion and bringing it to fruition in Jesus, has been taken up seriously by the Indian bishops. It is a form plagiarism with an ulterior motive behind it, but hasn't the SC ruled that the Vedas belong to all of humanity? The day will soon come when Hindus cannot call even their most sacred scriptures their own. </b>

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->  <b>There are no grounds for dialogue with the Catholic Church or any other Christian denomination operating in India, so long as they have missionaries in the field collecting Hindu souls, killing Hindu sadhus (this writer has also been threatened with dire consequences by an emissary of Fr. Bede Griffiths after "Catholic Ashrams" was published), and abusing Hindu scriptures, images.</b> symbols, sacred places, cultural icons like Tiruvalluvar, and Indian history in general (which does not include the unedifying fable of St. Thomas). No self respecting nation state will dialogue with another state that is attacking it either overtly or covertly. The exception to this universal rule is India who dialogues with Pakistan even as Pakistan is the willing platform for every terrorist attack on India, and Hindu leaders who are so lacking in self respect and a Hindu religious self-consciousness that they will talk to any Vatican official who offers them an air ticket and throws them a crumb. The exception to this sorry state of Hindu affairs, is the Kanchi Acharya who recently met the Pope's representative and demanded an unconditional cease-fire from the Christian side if dialogue was to continue. No more conversions, no more abuse and misuse of Hindu scriptures, symbols and sacred places, etc. For the first time in recent history, a Hindu leader has met a Vatican representative on equal terms with a positive, uncompromising agenda. At the next meeting, if one should ever take place, the Hindu representative may consider making another request of the Pope's agent. He may request an unconditional apology for all the crimes committed by the Church in India in the last 400 years. These crimes are quite considerable. More important, the Indian Church cannot distance itself from those crimes committed during colonial times (such as the Goa Inquisition) when similar crimes are being perpetrated today by Indian Christians on their Hindu neighbors. Missionary zeal is no different today than in the Portuguese period except that money plays a bigger role in converting the poor and ignorant than do Christian armies. We suggest that at a future dialogue meeting between Hindus and Christians, Dr. Koenraad Elst's guidelines for dialogue may be considered: 1. an honest accounting of the calumnies which the Church has heaped on India and Hinduism; 2. informing Indian Christians and non-Christians about the findings of Bible scholarship; 3. informing them about the impact of scientific progress on Church doctrine; 4. acceptance that reality is multi-layered and that there are many ways of perceiving it; 5. bringing the zeal for conversion in line with the recent declarations that salvation is possible through other religions as well. With reference to # 5, there is no ground whatsoever for the religious conversion of Indians to Christianity or Islam within the Indian context. Full stop. But we should not fool ourselves: conversion will not stop in India because of an agreement between religious leaders even if the agreement was sincere (which it will not be on the Christian side). Conversion can only be controlled if it is made illegal in law, and this does not seem possible in the present Indian political and secular academic environment.
  SDS
  18 Jun 2009<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Elst is wrong.
NEVER a dialogue with christianism. Death first.

No dialoguing with, no interacting with, no tolerating terrorist ideology that has the blood of millions upon hundreds of millions on its hands - amounts of sacred blood that will NEVER be washed off its claws. Too much unforgiveable bloodshed, and it would have much more still.
Perish meme. In no form to survive.
<i>That</i> should be the only 'dialogue' with christianism.

<b>ADDED for clarification:</b>
In case it wasn't clear:
"Death first" refers to "sooner die than dialogue with genocidal maniacs".
It does NOT mean "kill the christians before dialoguing with them".

It is used in literature. Even movies. To pick a popular (and most memorable) example, IIRC the hysterical comedy "The Princess Bride" has it too: where the swordsman hero is surrounded and asked to surrender and says "Death first". Hmmm, maybe I got the movie wrong, but the line and context are right.

It does NOT mean suicide either.
It implies defiance. A refusal to accept the other's terms, a "Fight you for it".

It's like the americanism "over my dead body".

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>As India is a Secular Nation, Non Hindus can be employed in Temple - AP Government</b>

Hyderabad: The Congress government in AP is pursuing their Anti Hindu agenda and Temple destructive policies and the justification for all these Policies are vested around SECULARISM!
(Can we finally get it right? It is *christianism* pursuing its anti-Hindu agenda.)

In a highly objectionable move AP Endowment Ministry is going ahead with <b>the appointment of Non Hindus in AP temple as staff.Recently Christians were employed at famous Annavaram Temple.

While responding to press Minister for Endowments, Stamps and Registration Gade Venkata Reddy said there should be no objection to employment of non-Hindus in Hindu temples as India was a secular State.</b><!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Rome when run over by the plague of christianism? No. Today's Bharatam.
But you'd be forgiven for confusing the two.

"Gade Venkata Reddy said there should be no objection to employment of non-Hindus in Hindu temples as India was a <b>secular</b> State"
What about appointing Hindus to 'manage' Vatican income, or at least all the money coming into christian churches in India? Since India is a secular state after all.
And I can then be appointed to the management of all Syrian catholic churches in Kerala and TN. <i>Trust</i> me.

The word "secular" certainly seems to have a catch-all meaning. Hence the terrorists can use it in parallel argument constructions like:
- "There should be no objection to letting afzal guru and qasab go free, since India is a secular state."
- "There should be no objection to NLFT genociding Hindus, since India is a secular state."
- "There should be no objection to christoterrorists massacring Hindu Swamis (like Swami Lakshmanananda, remember him?), since India is a secular state."
- "There should be no objection to islamoterrorist attacks against India's legitimate citizens (as opposed to illegal infiltrators), since India is a secular state."

I'm confused. <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' /><!--endemo--> Does this mean that next time some 'Hindu' says it is "secular", witnesses can just slap it and justify this with "there should be no objection, since India is a secular state"? <!--emo&<_<--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Hmmm. Actually, I'm starting to see that it's rather a persuasive argument. Am almost swayed, certainly tempted. Let's give it some more time to sink in, shall we, since I'm a bit slow.

<b>Press statement of Pujya Sankaracharya Swami </b>

Dear all, we have it on excellent authority that the inter-faith dialogue did not go as planned (by the Vatican and its Hindu apologists at home). We are told that no one except the religious leaders themselves and one or two persons two assist them in the dialogue were permitted in the hall. Pujya periava spoke as is characterisitc of him, in the softest tone possible, with the unfading smile never slipping from his face, in chaste Hindi. However as is obvious from the statement that he realeased to the Press and Media after the dialogue, it is obvious that the soft tone and chaste Hindi socked the gathering on the jaw. It is a good thing for Hindus that this time we had a man who knows his dharma and more importantly, like Sri Krishna, understands evil, spoke for this bhumi. RR

The Points that Pujya Periava made at the inter-faith dialogue and was made into a press statement.

1.Exactly one month ago to the date, the Pope went to Jerusalem where Jesus was born, for a similar dialogue that the Vatican had undertaken with the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. At the end of that meeting when the Pope and Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Yona Metzer jointly addressed the Press and Media, the Chief Rabbi thanked the Pope for assuring the Chief Rabbinate that the Catholic Church would desist and cease from all missionary and conversion activities among the Jews. This is construed as endorsed and agreed by the Pope since he was present at the press meet. We need a similar commitment from the Church for Hindus.

2. After such inter-faith meetings, the points agreed have to be faithfully abided. Otherwise there will be no point in holding such meetings. Unless the Church reassures Hindus that it will not conduct itself in a manner that wounds Hindu sensibilities and follows up on those assurances, such inter-faith meetings, no matter how frequently they are held, will be futile and not serve any meaningful cause.

3. In 1999, Pope Johan Paul II had stated that the mission of the Vatican was to plant the Cross in Asia in the third millennium to facilitate the Christianizing of the world, which alone would cause the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The Pope must tell us the rationale for the First Coming of Jesus Christ when there was no Christianity or the Church to undertake the mission to Christianize the world.

4. We see the USCIRF (US Commission on International Religious Freedom) as an intrusive mechanism of a foreign government to interfere in the internal affairs of this country. The USCIRF, which has been permitted to visit this country to hold meetings with our people to ascertain religious freedom in our country, must no longer be permitted to enter this country on this intrusive mission. We will not allow external interference into our internal affairs.

5. We know that very large amounts of money come into this country for Churches and Christian groups, ostensibly for charitable work. These funds should be used only for social causes like health, education etc and should not be used for religious conversion. During these dialogues, it should be agreed that the funds should be distributed to all Organisations who do charitable work, irrespective of the organisations' religious faith. A common pool should be created and a Committee formed to distribute and monitor the usage of these funds.

6. It has become easy for the Missionaries to convert Hindus. All Hindu Organisations and Associations should work together to educate Hindus and eradicate the conversion activity.

7. Hindu dharma is by nature diverse and so all different panthas and sampradayas co-exist on this bhumi without seeking to destroy the others. Hindu dharma has nurtured and supported all faiths and religions because that is the way of dharma. We expect that religions which have come into this bhumi from other lands will respect this vital characteristic of Hindu dharma and not do anything to subvert or disturb the sense of nationhood of this country. Hindu dharma and the Hindu people welcome Christians and Muslims, Parsis and Jews to make this land their home. We expect from these religions that they will not seek to destroy our faith, our religion and wound our religious sensibilities. We encourage all religions to live with mutual respect and harmony in a shared sense of nationalism which should bind us all as one nation. Nationalism should come first.

8. We are aware of the propaganda that they [the church] will cure diseases and ailments if the individual converts to their faith. This is illegal as per the DRUGS AND MAGIC REMEDIES ACT 1954 and we call upon the Indian government to take action under the provision of law.

9. Most of the countries in the world (USA, UK, Japan, Middle-east nations, Pakistan, Sri Lanka etc.), adopt national resolutions and statements of intent proclaimed by their governments and their tallest religious bodies, affirming their determination to protect and defend the culture and the religion from which their cultures derive. In India alone we pass resolutions which officially and legally promote an irreligious and unspiritual creed called secularism. Secularism is an administrative quality; it cannot be the soul of this nation. The soul of this nation is religious and spiritual. We call upon our government and other important religious bodies to recognize this truth and affirm their commitment to protect the soul of this nation.

10. The Buddhist Mahasangha and the Joint Committee of Buddhist Organizations have declared their intention to get the Sri Lankan government to pilot and pass a national anti-conversion Bill and make it law. We welcome this move and strongly endorse this measure.

11. The Church in India must stop forthwith the use of Hindu religious words, phrases and symbols like Veda, Agama, Rishi, Ashrama, Om and other such in what is referred to as 'inculturation' tactics, but which are only intended to deceive the vulnerable sections of our people who are the intended targets for religious conversion. This is also insulting to and wounding the religious sensitivities of Hindus. Similarly it has been brought to our notice that some churches are scripting a new Bible for the new converts by usurping sections of our sacred Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas and incorporating them into the Bible. This must stop immediately and all such Bibles must be withdrawn from circulation. We urge the Indian government to look into the issue and do the needful.

30/08/2008 20:39:55
By Viswasamvad Kendra, Orissa

<b>Vedanta Keshari Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati (84) is known as second incarnation of Lord Parsuram. He took the vow to develop the downtrodden class of the society and made his centre of activities at Chakapada in tribal dominated Orissa's Kandhmal district.</b>

Besides social and religious development of the tribal people, he tried all most four decades to empower them economically and
academically. He established a Gurukul pattern of school and a college to teach Sanskrit in Chakapada a remote place of Kandhamal.

Sankaracharya Kanyashram, a residential school at Jalespatta is another ashram of Swamiji in the district, where education is being imparted to women population with an intention to build their character and bring cultural nationalism among them.

<b>While there was a move to ban cow slaughter in India, Swamiji came from Himalaya to Orissa. After the movement of cow protection was over, Swamiji decided to return back to his Tapashya, when the then chief of RSS of Orissa Sri Bhupendra Kumar Basu narrated the sad stories of the tribal population of the State and requested him to help the suffering population. Swamiji went to Phulbani (Kandhmal) with Sri Basu, saw the life of people there and decided to serve the backward people mostly tribals and harijans, there and focus them to join into the main stream of the society.</b>

In 1969 he started his first ashram at Chakapada and the ashram became a centre for brisk activities. He renovated the temples: Birupakshya, Kumareswar and Jogeswar and established a Sanskrit school and a college.

Swamijee invested his full energy to teach the youth of schedule caste and schedule tribe in Sanskrit and built the youths as disciplined citizen well civilized, well cultured, well educated, well spiritual and protector of the society.

Swamijee was well versed in Vedanta philosophy, Sanskrit grammer and was awarded with the honour as "VEDANTA KESHARI". He was not only gave philosophical thoughts to the people but taught them good cultivation, animal care, and horticulture and so on. The students coming out from the Kalyan Ashram Gurukula are taking leadership of the society in economic, social and cultural fields.

Due to his selfless service to humanity he was warded with VIVEKANANDA SEVA PURASKAR"  from Kolkota.

He stood firm in Phulbani district for a long time and struggled hard to preserve and protect the tribal culture and dharma, the Sankaracharya of Govardhan Pitha, Puri awarded him with the Upadhi as"BIDHARMI KUCHAKRA VIDARAN MAHARATHI.

While he started his work in Kandhamal, a devoted RSS Pracharak, Sri Raghunath Sethi  associated with him for a long period. He initially selected his place of activities at Chakapad because there is Birupakhya temple.  Subsequently he established Kanyashram at Jalespatta, a Seva school at Tulasipur, Banki in Cuttack district and an Ashram at Panigola in Angul district.

The Birupakshya temple at Chakapada is situated in the district of Kandhamala (Phulbani). It stands on an elevation of about 800ft. from sea level. River Burutanga is flowing near the temple. The place is surrounded by beautiful natural scenaries. Chakapada has also been mentioned in the Ramayana.  The old age name of Chakapada is Ekachakranagari. The name is connected with Ramayana.  Here exists a Shiva temple where Linga is bent to south and all the trees of the place are also bent to south by his effort this place has been declared  a tourist place by the govt.

Swamiji was a visionary. It has been clearly established by his activities. Taken step by step and transform the total life style of
people of Kandhamal. Satsangh was his unique discovery to eradicate all evils of the society making them prosperous. He thereafter started Satsang at all villages of the district.

He has started night school for adult education. Insisting them to send their children to the school by which the literacy rate amongst tribal and Harijans of that area has increased. He stared a Sanskrit School named Kalyan Ashram, Sanskrit vidyalaya at Chakapad in the year 1969 which is now promoted to a Sanskrit college.

For the education of the girls, he established 'Sankaracharya Kanyashram' a wholly residential school at Jalespata in Kandhamal, in the year 1988 where 250 girls' students are studying. He also established a school at Banki and ashram at panigola in Angul district. The student of Chakapada and Jalespata taking leadership in all social sphere of their life in Kandhamal and most of them are established in the government service.

The local Harijan and tribal people of Kandhamal become more health conscious after coming to the satsangh. They stared to keep their houses to clean take bath every day, take safe drinking and thousand of family of he scheduled caste community have given off taking beef which ,make them healthy and disease less.

Swamiji taught them not to take liquor or any other alcoholic drinks during Satsang. Then gradually they leave the habit of taking such drinks. When they were free form alcohol they got ample time to do some work. Which, they utilize in their field and other activities for their development. More than 500 villages in the district benefited out of Swamiji's noble way to control liquor business as well as people on their own boycotted all intoxicants materials.

Swamiji teach grammar to the student in the class and technique of good cultivation in the field. He taught the villagers when and how to cultivate paddy vegetables etc. By which people of G.Udaygira and Raikia block area produce the best quality and highest quantity of beans in orissa. There also formed a vegetable cooperative society at Katingia by agricultural development the economic conditioned improved a lot. Swamiji always insisted the tribal not tp be afraid of any body. He accompanies them to the govt. officer and police stations and made them fearless. They got the courage to face to the collector or SP directly.

Now we can see greenery everywhere in the Kandhmal because it has more forest cover than any other district. It is all due to Swamijis efforts to insist them to take wood when required. He also established "Maths on the hill tops in several parts of the district and told the villagers that the trees in the hill belong to math and the village community. If emergency arises one can cut a tree and take wood only after the permission of the village committee. That worked tremendously. The joint forest management system which govt. started now has been started by Swamiji from 1970.

After all Swamiji was very much serious for preservation and protection of tribal culture and tradition . He has established and
renovated the tribal deity place (Dharanipenu) in several places. Similarly he has started a Rathyatra through out the Gajapati and Kandhamal district during which thousand of tribal are attracted to their own belief.

He often says that the area will not prosper where tear or blood falls. He was against the indiscriminate cow slaughter. He taught the people to protect cattle from slaughtering and taking beef. In several occasion he staged demonstration, dharanas and participated in the hunger strike in several parts of the state. He toured through out the state for this cause.

He was associated with several socio-cultural and religious organizations. He has established and renovated several temples in
different parts of the state. He was a founder member and inspiration of VHP and Kalyana Ashram of odisha.

<b>His main work in Kandhalmal was protecting the tribals from Christian conversion. He tried his label best to reconvert the tribals to their original faith. Inspired by his personality thousand of people in different parts of the states become his disciple.
His main missions are:

1. Making the tribal youth strong, fearless, educated and financially sound.

2. Tribal should be strong in their belief and check conversion of their brethrens and reconvert those who have gone out.

3. Protection of cows

These made him popular thought out the states. During two big functions at Chakapad in 1986 and 2007 lakhs of people gather in that remote place.

As the reconversion gets momentum Christians feared of loosing their ground. So they attacked Swamiji several times(9 times). The ninth attack on him was on 24th december 2007, where he was  narrowly saved being murdered by heavily armed group of 200 people, at Darsingbadi of Kandhamal.</b>

No efforts have been made by the government or administration to arrest the culprits (The Christian militants) and siege the illegal weapons kept by them. The roles of Christian NGO's were not investigated. The attitude of the government was to protect Christians and harass Hindus. Hundreds of Hindus were arrested but a few Christians. Lakhs of rupees were provided to the churched and other Christian organizations as relief, which were not damaged during that period. These things encourage the Christian militants and they brutally killed Swami Laxmananda Saraswati, Bhakti Mata. Amrutananda Baba, Kishore baba and Purub Ganthi a guardian of a Kanyashram girl on the Janmastami night on 23rd August 2008 at 8 pm. They even dare to enter to the kanyashram and brutally kill 5 persons.

The brutal killing of Swamiji, has sent a shock wave in the country. People of Orissa are still not in a position to accept Swamiji's killing. In a spontaneous response, people of Orissa observed bandh in each and every corner of the State on August 25. People of Kandhamal still not recover from the shocking demise of Swamiji.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Survey finds major shifts in religions
Mainstream Christian churches are in decline, while ranks are swelling for nondenominational and the unaffiliated.

By Michael Paulson
Boston Globe
Published on: 02/26/08
The United States, founded by dissident Protestants seeking religious freedom, is on the verge of becoming a nation in which Protestants are a minority.

An increasing fraction of Americans identify themselves as unaffiliated with any religious tradition, and a growing number, although still a tiny minority, say they are Muslim, Hindu or Orthodox Christian. And a flood of overwhelmingly Catholic immigrants is helping to offset a high dropout rate among U.S.-born Catholics.

These are among the key findings of a groundbreaking study of the American religious landscape released Monday by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life.

The study, which is the most comprehensive such examination of the country in at least a half-century, finds that the United States is in a period of unprecedented religious fluidity, in which 44 percent of American adults have left the denomination of their childhood for another denomination, another faith, or no faith at all.

"Americans are not only changing jobs, changing locations, changing spouses, but they're also changing religions on a regular basis," said Luis E. Lugo, director of the Pew Forum.

"We have nearly half the American public telling us they're something different today than they were as a child, and that's a staggering number. It's such a dynamic religious marketplace and very competitive," Lugo said.

The study is based on a survey of 35,000 Americans age 18 and older, a very large number for survey research, and the size of the pool allowed the researchers to get more detail about minority religious groups than is usually available from smaller studies.

Among other findings:

> One in four adults ages 18 to 29 claim no affiliation with a religious institution.

> The majority of the unaffiliated —- 12 percent of the overall population —- describe their religion as "nothing in particular."

> Atheists or agnostics account for 4 percent of the total population.

> The Roman Catholic Church has lost more members than any faith tradition because of affiliation swapping.

> On the Protestant side, changes in affiliation are swelling the ranks of nondenominational churches, while Baptist and Methodist traditions are showing net losses.

> More people identified themselves as Buddhist than Muslim, although both populations were small —- less than 1 percent of the total population.

1. Wiki talk page on "Saint" Nicholas who's famous for destroying a Diana Temple (among others).
Now watch the christoterrorists discussing how (and <i>why</i>) to amend the data for the Christian Archive:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki?title=Talk:Saint_Nicholas
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Destroying pagan temples</b>
The section on destroying 'pagan' temples, especially Diana's, <b>in this modern age</b>... really sounds like he destroyed some incredible art... almost like the Parthenon! Can we have some citations and sources with that? It seems to be a strictly a VERY catholic point of view presented here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pocketfulofseeds (talk • contribs)

<!--QuoteBegin--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->New sections on the bottom, please.
I have to say this is not a tradition about him that I've ever heard myself. But if true, no, there was nothing else like the Parthenon. The GrecoRoman Pagans don't exist anymore, do they?" And "It's okay to destroy all the other pagan Temples, I mean, they were not the Parthenon, after all." "Why does it need to be mentioned? Why should there be any feelings of guilt?"

The cretins. It's not enough for them that christians destroyed the GrecoRoman temples and civilisation and population. Now people have to endure christian apologetics for vandalism and destruction and genocide.
Nothing changes.

2. I think that the section on nicholas destroying Pagan Temples including Diana's temple is gone now from Wackypedia.

But many sites have copies of the old version, like NationMaster:
www.statemaster.com/encyclopedia/Saint-Nicholas-Day
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->The destruction of several pagan temples is also attributed to him, among them one temple of Artemis (also known as Diana). Because the celebration of Diana's birth is on December 6, some authors have speculated that this date was deliberately chosen for Nicholas' feast day to overshadow or replace the pagan celebrations.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

3. What's MORE interesting is that there are copies of the <i>same</i> Wackypedia article on Saint Nicholas at the following:

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Indopedia</b>
<b>The Indology CMS </b>

Just a question, what *does* santa claus have to do with the study of India to warrant an appearance on "Indopedia", besides the fact that christist indology obviously invited him?

And also, <i>why</i> is Indopedia just a blatant rip off of Wacky's older edit page on Santa Claus? (Going by this Indopedia page which is an exact copy of the NationMaster page on Saint Nicholas - both sourced from Wacky as at an earlier date)

It is the Hippie culture of earlier decades
which has morphed into the 90s and new century hip hop with EJ music

There are few channels which are trying to convert all the hippie period rock/pop

They want to erase the hippie culture and their memory by appropirating them into christian music.

21/06/2009 01:10:38  www.expressbuzz.com

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: ‘Invisible hands’ seem to have worked once again to sabotage the CBI inquiry into the Sister Abhaya murder case. The socalled master tapes of the narco analysis test, conducted on the three accused have been tampered with, a team of technical experts in the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT) here, found out.

The report of the C-DIT team will be submitted in the CJM court, Ernakulam, which is monitoring the inquiry of the case, on Monday. Sources said that there was excessive editing and the use of the dissolve technique in the narco analysis CDs of Fr Thomas M Kottoor, Fr Jose Puthrukkaayil and Sister Sephy - the three accused in the case. The findings of the committee suggest that the original master tapes were kept out of the CBI’s reach by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Bangalore.

The editing, suspected to have been carried out at FSL Bangalore, was allegedly done to provide enough loopholes for the culprits to break free from the clutches of the law. Earlier, CBI DySP R K Agrawal who had inquired into the case, informed the High Court that the FSL authorities had edited the tapes before handing over them to the CBI. But the court ignored the scientific argument of Agrawal and concluded that it was the CBI that had manipulated the tapes.

The 32-minute, 50-second CD of the narco analysis performed on Fr Kottoor was edited in 30 places. The CD of Fr Puthrukkaayil (40-minute, 55-second) was edited in 19 places and the 18-minute, 42-second CD of Sister Sephy was edited at 23 places.
Apart from this, professional techniques such as dissolve were also used on the CDs.

Moreover, in many places the audio track failed to synchronise with lip movements. The master tapes of the narco analysis were seized from the FSL Bangalore, by the CBI team led by DySP Nandakumar. The tapes were later converted to CD format and examined by the technical committee in the presence of an advocate commission appointed by the CJM court and CBI DySP Nandakumar.

The directive of CJM court, Ernakulam, to examine the authenticity of narco test master tapes, followed a petition filed by Sister Abhaya’s father Thomas Aikkarakunnel.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<b>Rot in church due to affluence: Kerala nun-author</b>

http://www.newkerala.com/nkfullnews-1-57123.html

By Madhusree Chatterjee, New Delhi, June 17 : Money, power and even sex are corrupting the church and anybody who dares speak up is gagged, says a Kerala nun who left her congregation last year amid much controversy and whose autobiography has just been published in English.

"All our education institutions are in profit, but very little money is going for charity. The money of the people is in the hands of the church, but there is no accountability," she said.

Sister Jesme was drawn to religious life at 17 after a retreat at a junior college. She was allowed by the church to complete her post-graduate and doctoraldegree in English literature and to pursue her passion for cinema and literature.
