Updated on Sunday, September 27, 2009

Bhubaneswar: Slain VHP leader Swami Laxamananda Saraswati, whose killing last year led to a large scale violence in Kandhamal, had incurred the wrath of a minority community since he had been opposing the role of Christian missionaries and alleged conversion, said Orissa's former director general of police (DGP) G C Nanda.

"I have come across various reports from time to time relating to the staunch pro-Hindu activities of Saraswati.

"As a result of this, he had become target of the ire of the rival community since he had been opposing what he perceived as the increasing impact of Christian missionaries and alleged conversion in the area," Nanda said in his affidavit before the commission of inquiry probing into the incident.

Nanda, who was the DGP when violence erupted in Kandhamal after killing of Saraswati on August 23, 2008, claimed that he did not have any information regarding specific threat to Saraswati from Maoists.

He maintained: "I believe that Naxalites probably expected to get cooperation of minority community in creating a solid base in the district to expand their activities by killing Saraswati."

This apart, Nanda observed that the "Naxalites possibly wanted to prove their secular credentials by killing the Hindu seer".

He also said: "They (Naxalites) were also crazy for publicity following such incidents".

Stating that security arrangement for Saraswati had been planned and was made based on the inputs available regarding the threat from "rival community", Nanda reiterated that there was no information available relating to threat from any armed extremist groups including Naxalites.

"As per the reports available, the Naxalites did not pose any threat to Saraswati and generally (they are) known to keep away from religious issues. In fact, the incident came as a surprise to all of us," he said.
(Yes, because these were *christian* communists. Not the plain vanilla kind.)

The former DGP further said: "Following the incidents of December 2007 (where there was an attack on Saraswati on eve of Christmas), the SP of Kandhamal was advised by the state police headquarters in January 2008 to provide adequate security to Saraswati during his visits and stay."

Admitting that the security arrangement at Jalespeta ashram where Saraswati was killed along with four others, was not adequate from Naxals, the former DGP claimed that the Kandhamal SP had provided more security than what had been prescribed by the State Level Security Committee.

Do you remember that Ashok Sahu, ex-IPS officer and BJP candidate from Kandhamal, had said more than a year ago that the revered Lakshmananda swamijee was killed by Christians?

It is very sad that certain self-appointed "gurus" are allowing themselves to be used as agents for promoting Christianity. One of them, who has proclaimed himself to be God, is said to have "materialized" a miniature crucifix, made from the same timber as that of the <b>fictitious</b> original crucifix, for the benefit of a Christian priest, allegedly a devotee.

After all, the Lingayat community has been intensely worked upon for a while by christoterrorists. Remember this from ~4 years back:

According to a recent report by BP News, a website of the fanatic Southern Baptist Christian sect, their missionaries claim to have been successfully targetting the Hindu Lingayats for conversion.

The 15-million Lingayats, also called the Veera Shaiva community, are a deeply spiritual vegetarian Hindu sect predominantly concentrated in Karnataka state and parts of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

According to Marty Hunter, a Southern Baptist strategy coordinator focused on evangelizing the Lingayats to the Christian gospel, In our day, we are seeing a new response to Christ from the Hindu [Lingayats].
The website adds: ' When Marty and Jodi Hunter decided to accept responsibility for taking the gospel to Indias Lingayat people, other Christian workers didnt offer them much hope of success. In 1997, researchers could count only 800 Christians and no churches among the Lingayats.

People discouraged us, saying the [Lingayats] were hard-hearted, that the [proselytization] would be fruitless, Hunter said. Today were looking at about 3,000 [converts] - most of them people who have come to [Christianity] in the past two years.

<b>The number of Lingayat [converts] is growing so rapidly that Hunter believes they will see 18,000 [converts] in 1,000 house churches by 2006.'</b><!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>poor christists worshipping idol of goddess in honduras</b>
oct 2, 2009

this was probably a pre-christist idol that the christists stole.

and what was it the worshippers of the idol of "mutilated corpse of dead arab stuck on a stick" were saying? something about idol-worship not being good?

this honduran example is excellent. the christists came in and destroyed their native civilization and stole their land. all that the poor natives were left with is christist bullshit and blood-sucking godmen; they are clinging on to the goddess hoping she'll save them.

incidentally the biggest christist female shrine in india -- velankanni in tamil nadu -- was a hindu temple to the "vel ilang kanni amman", consort of muruga (vel-ayudha). the christists destroyed the vel ilang kanni amman temple and put up the monstrous church there.

stealing other's holy places is a major activity of all semites.
