LAHORE – <b>Pakistan is willing to pay Sri Lanka up to $1.5 million to play the hastily arranged series in January-February after the Indian tour cancellation, but the question is where will it arrange the money from?</b>

Reports coming from different quarters in the Pakistan Cricket Board suggest that Pakistan is unlikely to generate enough money from the series that would keep the board's finances flowing smoothly.

India decided to pull out of its tour of Pakistan over last month's terror attacks in Mumbai.

<b>The cancellation of that much-awaited series caused whopping losses of almost $25 million to the cash-strapped PCB.</b>
