Twirp : Terrorist Wahabi Islamic Republic Pakistan 3
Several items on the islamaniac attack in TSP on the obviously kaffiri Sri Lankan cricket players.

1. One Sri Lankan cricketer has realised it's an inside job and that the islamaniac TSP govt's security was the actual one to blame:

5 Mar 2009, 1611 hrs IST, PTI

MELBOURNE: Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan on Friday hit-out at the security arrangements in Pakistan in the wake of the deadly terror attack
on his team bus in Lahore and suspected militants had inside information about their movement.

"Somehow in this incident there were no police with guns on the bus," the 36-year-old off-spinner said.

"If someone was there with a gun we would have had a chance of defending ourselves," said the world's highest wicket-taker in both Tests and one-dayers.

"Normally all the buses go and we have four or five escorts," said the spin legend revealing his anguish that there could have been inside information about the Sri Lankan team bus' route to the Gaddafi stadium.

"We left at 8.30am, and Younis Khan (with the Pakistan team) at 8.35am. We divided into two, maybe they knew the information for the right time. They tried to shoot the driver. Then they were shooting both sides of the bus and they counted 39 holes," he told 'Radio 5AA' in an interview.

The off-spinner said he thought Tharanga Paranavitana, who along with Thilan Samaraweera was one of the more seriously wounded players, would die from injuries.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<b>the attack on the sri lankan cricket team is 'diplomatic theater' by the ISI</b>
mar 4th, 2009

as were the various 'assassination attempts' on musharraf, all of which happened just after musharraf's convoy had passed the sites where the bombs were detonated. miraculous, indeed. lo, the ISI is merciful! a few policemen died, but who cares? there are plenty of poor pakistanis to serve as cannon fodder.

consider the following:

1. now the pakistanis can claim, "we are also the victims of terrorism just as much as india is". james astill will be the first person claiming india-pakistan-equal-equal. (sorry, he has been pre-empted by the guy writing in the nyt, http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/04/opinio....html?_r=1 who gave away the game -- see where his interviewee says: "They were saying that this was done to show the Indians that we in Pakistan are also the victims of terrorism." You think our own government did it?" I asked.

"No one else could get away with this kind of thing," he insisted.

He described the attackers' feat: they appeared out of nowhere at one of the city's busiest intersections and fired for more than 20 minutes at the van carrying the players to Qaddafi Stadium, and then fled in rickshaws.
"I know the kind of precautions we have to take when we are in a V.I.P. motorcade," the young officer told me. "And this was a 'V.V.I.P.' motorcade. Every house in that neighborhood was surrounded by the police. My friend was there and he told me the attackers didn't receive a single wound.") sorry, no cigar, james astill.

2. the UPA will now proclaim the same india-pakistan-equal-equal. pronob mukherjee will say he is bherry bherry saarry and suggest that the piss process be started again.

3. the mumbai attack is now forgotten. see 1 and 2. also, the kkkangress will remind us that "one pakistani did mumble something that mumbai attackers came from their country". this is a momentous achievement, of historic dimensions. therefore the kkkangress has done its bit to ensure the safety and security of all individuals in india. therefore there will be no further action on the mumbai invasion. chidambaram will mouth "if there is yet another attack on india, we will... we will... hold our breath until we are blue in the face. so there!"

4. isn't it amazing that even though the attackers had rocket-propelled grenades and other medium-heavy weapons, they only managed to shoot off some kalashnikovs?

5. as per 4, there were only minor injuries to the sri lankans. but this is being portrayed as "see, in india foreigners were targeted. in pakistan too foreigners were targeted." let us forget that in india the jews and others were raped, tortured, mutilated and then killed based on explicit cell phone instructions emanating from pakistan

6. the attackers jogged up from a grassy knoll (yes, remember the grassy knoll in the kennedy assassination?), fired for 20 minutes, and then leisurely ran away to their auto-rickshaws, which then took them to safety. this while there were lots of policemen around. and this is the center of punjabi power.

7. why didn't the attackers do the 'suicide-bombing' thing, which would have -- if they really meant it -- guaranteed that the entire busload of sri lankans would have been wiped out?

8. why didn't they attack the hotel where the sri lankans had been camped out? that would have been quite easy.

9. why wasn't there more security for the sri lankans?

therefore the conclusion is that this is an ISI 'production' -- scripted and choreographed by them. very nicely done, too. perhaps hamid gul can be nominated for the mohammedan film awards, oops... oscars, for best supporting actor? and manmohan singh for best patsy?

Today's Statesman carries a report in which it says: "Pakistan coach Mr Intikhab Alam said that usually both teams would leave the hotel together for the stadium around 8.40 a.m., <b>but the hosts were saved today by skipper Younis' decision to go separately.</b> "The Sri Lankans decided to leave five minutes early today and our captain had decided we would go separately,” Mr Alam said."
Does it not suggest that the Pak team was *advised* to leave 5 min after the Lanka team? What does it mean?

3. And now the following hysteria. Brought to you by the TOI (the christianist mouthpiece that worked hard to insinuate the existence of "Hindu Terrier" in acts that factually turned out to be Islamic terrorist crimes). The TOI thinks it worthwhile to ask terrorists whether they did it - because TOI believes islamic terrorists are oh-so-honourable that it considers any denials they make worthy of reporting. And <i>of course</i> the anti-Indian Pakistani LeT in Kashmir would blame India if given half a chance. Naturally, TOI has reasons for asking them and letting them speak. The reasons become apparent when you look at TOI's use of the term 'militants' instead of 'terrorists' to describe the LeT. And how it describes the LeT as merely "fighting" with the Indian government, thus legitimising islamic <b>terrorism</b> in Kashmir by what even TOI has to admit is a <i>Pakistani</i> outfit. With the word 'fighting', TOI has put islamic terrorists on equal footing with Indian governance.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Lashkar denies role in attack on Lanka team in Pak</b>
6 Mar 2009, 1958 hrs IST, AFP

SRINAGAR: <b>Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba</b> rejected media reports in Pakistan that it was involved in an attack on Sri Lanka's cricket
squad.

"These media reports are false, incorrect and baseless," Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) spokesman Abdullah Ghaznavi said. He was speaking by telephone from Srinagar from an undisclosed location.

Pakistani newspapers suggested Friday that preliminary investigations pointed to the involvement of home-grown militants, including LeT, which has been blamed for the attacks in Mumbai late last year that killed 165 people.

LeT has also denied any role in the Mumbai attacks.
(Oh poor misunderstood things: to always be suspected of further islamaniacal terrorism. <i>Of course</i> the world takes terrorists' denials into consideration <!--emo&Rolleyes--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

"The attack on Sri Lanka's team was an attack on Pakistan's sovereignty and Kashmiri militants could never even think of that (such an attack)," Ghaznavi said.
(Already known, but the reference to respecting Pak sovereignty is an admission by LeT - known to be a <i>Pakistani</i> terrorist group - that they work for TSP <i>govt</i> itself. This is in contrast to the many other Pak islamic terrorists who are <i>known</i> to blow up Pakistani army/police/authorities and be militating against TSP governance. Examples seen frequently throughout this thread. Even today's news, 7th of March 2009: Suicide car blast in Pakistan; 7 policemen killed, already in Mudy's post above.)

<b>LeT, which has been fighting New Delhi's rule in Indian-administered Kashmir, blamed Indian security agencies for the Lahore attack.

"The attack is the handiwork of Indian agencies to defame Pakistan and bring instability to the country," Ghaznavi said. </b>
( <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->  <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo--> Ghazi better check out how the Paki govt has had to admit it is <i>not</i> India - see bottom of post. TSP gov is considering letting LeT roll for it, and are even trying to point to AQ, to get the scrutinizers off of themselves.)

<b>Pakistan's interior ministry chief said Friday he could not rule out foreign involvement in the Sri Lankan cricket attack, as speculation increased in Pakistan's domestic press that home-grown militants were to blame.</b>
(Yes, even their own press doesn't trust them anymore.)

"I cannot rule out (the involvement of a) foreign hand in the incident," Rehman Malik told reporters in Lahore.

Six Pakistani police and two civilians were killed Tuesday when gunmen ambushed the team en route to a Test match in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore. Seven Sri Lankan cricketers and a coach were among 19 people wounded.

Up to 12 men attacked the convoy of officials, coaches and players, firing automatic weapons, grenades and a rocket launcher as the vehicles approached Gaddafi stadium. The attackers fled without a trace but pictures of them were caught on videotape.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
<b>Note traitor-TOI's language use in the above</b>
- By describing India's governance of an integral part of itself (Kashmir) with the manipulated line "New Delhi's rule in Indian-administered Kashmir" - and thus separating the reality into 'New Delhi' to represent India, 'Kashmir' to represent itself and of course 'Indian-administered' to indicate further alienness, meddling and thus illegitimate rule - one can instantly see on whose side the christopaper TOI is on. Why aren't complaints flooding into TOI? Can people really be overlooking such blatant language usage?

- Taking the above points into account as well, the article <i>itself</i> is proof of the anti-Indian islamic treachery of the christoterrorist paper TOI: they are giving a terrorist outfit - the LeT - an opportunity to speak. Presumably because the kaffiri Indian victims of the LeT are given the same fair opportunity to speak. Oh wait. No, they're not. They just get blown away. Hmmm. That's probably why TOI doesn't interview <i>them</i>: because they're dead before the TOI gets there. Otherwise one can be sure that TOI will be quite fair-minded and interview the victims. However, TOI interviewing victims' <i>relatives</i> after each blast is out of the question: it doesn't have enough time or space for the coverage, you see. Too busy interviewing the terrorists like LeT - to get their all-important views and feelings and suspicions out.

Moreover, by allowing this absurd interview with the LeT presenting its accusation against Indian Intell, TOI is according weight to LeT's insinuations: creating the idea of equal respectability ('equally worth listening to/considering') in the minds of the Indian readership. I don't think any <i>Hindu</i> could still be reading TOI junk and thinking it's trustworthy.

4. There were news reports some two days ago perhaps (daily pioneer included I think) that Sri Lanka was not ruling out the possibility of LTTE having done the deed. But the christoterrorist LTTE - as 'reliable' a source as the islamiterrorist LeT, why not interview the AQ next? - are denying they had any hand.

5. I've not read the following beyond the titles, but further news links at the bottom of the above TOI article don't look to provide much emotional let alone any factual support to TOI/LeT's hopeless thesis that 'Maybe India did it':

<b>Behold the ghost of cricket</b>

Masood Hasan

“Gawd,” said President Zardari, as he whipped out his Sterling Silver Mont Blanc fountain pen and wrote in the Visitor’s Book at Mr Jinnah’s Mausoleum, many moons ago. “Give me strent,” he added, visibly moved. They still haven’t found who moved him, like, months later they are going to be unable to find the dozen happy-go-lucky attackers who took out the Sri Lankan team at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Such things are never solved in Pakistan as it has been determined that the nation can’t take this.

A few signs noticed on the national landscape have arrived, and though some of you may already have seen these, are worth sharing. There is the destined to be, immortal, “Dainting Painting,” followed by a great Chinese delicacy called “Chicken Chumian.” A biker has a hair-raising slogan across his machine. “Don’t warry be happy,” and we all must switch to Nise Cola “a water so pure there is nothing but crips, clean refreshment in ahead and enjoy a great tasting.” What more could one ask for? Nise, isn’t it? Two cops, bored to death but armed to the teeth, sit next to a sign which beckons. “Chick Point,” it suggestively offers. Another shop, which may be given the President’s Pride of Performance Award claims, <b>“Open 25 hours,”</b> and a rickshaw driver, reflecting the hard times we live in, is offering “Love for Sale Discount 100%.” Two signs from our bearded brethren across the Attock are gems. <b>A group of the hairy ones are shouting, “We condom attack.” They may please be provided what they so desperately want.</b> Another placard carried by the Jamaat-e-Islami, Peshawar, is good news for dog-lovers. “Buhs is a big terrior of the world.” The marvels of genetic engineering are with us.

But why delve into the murder and rape of the language, you might well ask, when everything else that surrounds us is so dark and gloomy? Well, there is no answer, and why should there be? After all, when was the last time we had a good answer that satisfied everyone and sent a smile across our faces? Instead, we are assaulted by news and comments that are plainly insulting and well indicate what is thought of our basic common sense. In the aftermath of the Lahore attack on the Sri Lankans, as expected and as is the drill, the President and the PM were deeply shocked. In a few days they will also condemn this “dastardly attack,” and there will be any amount of people who will say that what happened in Lahore is not really us. If this is, by some remote stretch of the imagination, accurate, one would like to know what is the real us. That being a question without a real answer, we will instead be fed drivel like RAW organised the attack, that we are all peace-loving people and this attack is to destabilise the democratic forces and bring a bad name to the country. We will also be told – and actually are being told, that there was no security failure. When a convoy under strict security and threats comes under fire with disastrous consequences, it is a security lapse. Those saying otherwise are only mocking us. The route is being questioned, the Blue Book is being debated, the last-minute route change is being discussed, the “No Fear” boys who fell like ninepins in the onslaught of a well-coordinated and ruthless attack by a dozen men who were bouncing on the greens as if they were on a picnic are images which should haunt those who were supposed to be guarding these guests. But because the shame quotient here is higher than ever before, there will not be a single resignation. Instead, angry and righteous denials will be issued and justified. In a few days the cops will have been buried and cast aside and life in the VIP lane will move on as before. Now and then appropriate noises will be made and clicking of tongues in mock disapproval will betray the official response. But no heads will roll, no one will admit it was a botched-up security plan that went haywire and cash compensations – our answer to every human tragedy – will be announced.

Which brings us to cricket, or indeed whatever is left of it. There is not much, as any idiot can tell you. What we have is the debris of a building that once was a much loved and much supported icon. Now it is history. We can kiss any tours happening here for at least the next five years. As for the World Cup, it too is history, as would be the Champions Trophy and any visit by a country other than Timbuktu. So what do we do with the huge cricket edifice we have built over the years? There are two ways to go from here. The first is to convert all the grounds into commercial plazas and “shaadi ghars,” as this business is going to grow. The other is to adopt “gilli-danda” with open arms and establish that as the new spectator sport, but we are not sure how the beards would react to that. After all, the shape of the playing tools can leave most of them rather excited and this could mean trouble. Maybe, painting them a lurid green colour could save the day, but that would still be dodgy. Call Dr Nasim Ashraf back. Since the Senate Committee thinks he is the cat’s whiskers, the bees knees and the rabbits’ foot all rolled into a dynamic ball of energy and enterprise, he would, if nothing else, blow away whatever little is left of the PCB’s kitty, and being officially broke, the PCB can be wound up and buried in one of the dead plots Curator Agha Zahid is so good at making. Or if the PCB is serious it could take stock of the present situation as follows :

No foreign teams will be visiting Pakistan.

No tournaments will take place here.

Events like the Asia Cup, the Champions Trophy and the World Cup are history.

Pakistan will be the new cricket desert of the world.

Perhaps a study of the period when South Africa was isolated and cast aside might well be in order. For that long period when they were the pariahs of the world, they built up their domestic cricket structure, seriously, methodically, brick by brick, and put together one of the finest structures anywhere in the world.

We all know that for years and years so many people have demanded and pleaded for a sound domestic cricket structure but the answers have never been forthcoming. I think I can speak with confidence that men like Majid Khan and Imran Khan, who know their cricket, have gone hoarse asking for a proper infrastructure, and many other Pakistani greats have followed suit. Maybe it is not half as glamorous as international cricket, but when that has become a mirage, surely this could be a dream worth chasing. If Pakistan emerges out of this isolation five years down the road with the Jihadis having been laid to rest (a pipedream, if ever there was one), it may not have a great line of sporting highlights to show off, but it could show the world another Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Majid Khan, Imran Khan or Asif Iqbal, to name but a few. That would be far better than telling the world that we are the victims and waiting for Mr Malik, our Security Czar, to resign.

Virtually retorting the former Pakistani military ruler, Madani said, "Pakistan ki jitni total population hai , us se zyada population hai Indian Muslims ki . (Population of Muslims in India is more than that total population of Pakistan). You should be knowing this."

When Musharraf said he was aware of it, Madani said "If you know this, then you should also know that Indian Muslims have the capability to solve their problems. We don't need your advise. Don't try to alienate Indian Muslims by your remarks, here or in Pakistan."

<b>Fata’s 35 Hindus migrate to India </b><!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->AMRITSAR: A group of 35 Hindus, nearly half of them women, from Pakistan have crossed over to India and asked the government to allow them to settle in the country, Indian media reported Monday.

'We were living in Pakistan under extreme fear due to the domination of a strong group of Taliban who are running a parallel government,' Jagdish Sharma, a resident of tribal area near Peshawar in Pakistan, said according to report.

Four families comprising 16 men, 16 women and three children crossed over to India during the last few days through the Attari check post and later went to Delhi where they got a one-year visa and permission to stay in Amritsar.

'We strongly urge the government of India to allow us to stay here in India permanently, since we don't want to move back in that hell where there is no life security,' said Sharma.

Hardwari Lal, resident of Orkzai agency said:<b> 'I was running my grocery shop there which was forcibly taken over by the fundamentalists who also took possession of our entire property.’</b>

<b>First off, what did the poor, gentle, Sri Lankans do to deserve the treatment they got in Lahore at our hands?</b>

I ask this question in the manner I do because right-wing pundits and the authorities can bury their heads in the sand and say that this country and its own people had nothing to do with the atrocity; <b><span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>I believe it was no one but Pakistanis who planned, trained for, and did the dastardly deed.</span></b>

They were quite obviously cousins to the beheading brigade who have recently taken over Swat after defeating the much-vaunted Pakistan Army and the craven government of the ANP which did not stand its ground.

What was the Sri Lankans’ crime, anyway? The fact that their country was the only country in the whole wide world that came to Pakistan’s aid when West Pakistani forces were fighting that ill-fated and cruel battle to prevent East Pakistan’s secession so many tragic years ago? This question is asked specifically because our security establishment, even today, insists that the mindlessly cruel militants who rule almost all of the Frontier today are ‘patriots’ who will come to Pakistan’s aid if there is need to ward off Indian aggression!

What, more specially, was the Sri Lankan cricket team’s fault? That they were the only cricket team in the whole wide world who were foolish enough to venture into the Land of the Pure, the frightening and horrendous place it has become? Really! We have more than proved the fact that we are a bunch of incompetents who have allowed yahoos to run riot in our country. ‘Yahoo’ is used here in the worst sense, described by Jonathan Swift in Gulliver’s Travels as a race of wild beings who are half beast and half man, and who have none of the finer instincts of (even) beasts.

<b>And what of the security lapses that are so apparent from the CCTV and TV footage as filmed by a private TV station that overlooks Liberty Chowk, where the attack on our guests took place? Twelve or 14 terrorists, carrying huge backpacks, saunter on to the Liberty roundabout, before the team was to pass along there, and no one finds them before the team’s bus arrives? Governor Taseer talks about SOPs being followed: is physically searching behind cover along a secured route, especially where a vehicle carrying a VVIP target has to slow down, not one of the most important SOPs ever?

The specifics now : The firing goes on for more than 25 minutes according to every report, yet not one terrorist is killed, not one disabled and captured. The Gulberg police station is located barely one hundred yards from the scene, yet not one policeman bestirs himself to saunter over and see what all the commotion is about, and in the process perhaps apprehend just one of the murderers? And the governor has the gall to say that Shahbaz Sharif himself did not tell him about the warning issued by the Punjab home department re: a possible attack on the Sri Lankans? <span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>I ask you</span></b>

It was nothing but a huge failure on the part of the present government, which failure will see Pakistan cricket die a quick and well-deserved death in this country. For look at the arrogant way in which the sport has been/is being run in the country. Just look at the ill-worded attack that the president of the PCB launched on Chris Broad, for God’s sake!

We are a very unique people; and for reasons best known only to ourselves we think the light shines out of our left ears and right nostrils. We are egotistical and conceited and simply will not face up to reality. Simply spoken, we do not deserve to play that game of gentlemen. It’s gulli danda for us, friends.

And other such sports that are the rage in the Land of the Pure; the Citadel of Islam; the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Sports such as hanging recently slaughtered corpses from electric poles and learning which is the exact place in the human solar plexus where the notice ordering passers-by not to take down the dead body before such and such a time in the morning can be affixed with a dagger.

Sports such as dragging women teachers (who insist on teaching girl pupils) from their homes in the dead of night by the hair after putting dancing-girl bells on their ankles (to announce them as nautch girls) to the nearest square and then slaughtering them and hanging their bodies in the manner stated above. Who wants boring old cricket, when we have all of the above?

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Security Czar Rehman Malik tells us Pakistan is in a state of war. Truer words were not spoken, but Malik did not tell us who we were at war with. He did not tell us that we were at war with ourselves, destroying what little is left of our country because of self-service and sheer incompetence. He did not tell us that our failed security establishment is mainly to blame for the extremely dire straits we are in: witness the debacle in Swat and much of Fata where the Taliban now rule supreme.

On the very day that Czar Malik pronounced that Pakistan was at war, the GOP told us the Mobile Courts Ordinance was issued during the sitting of parliament because neither the president, nor the law minister, nor the parliamentary affairs minister was aware that the National Assembly was in session! I ask you.

And amidst all of this, the PPP is doing to the PML-N in the Punjab in 2009 what Musharraf did to the PPP in Sindh in 2002: steal its majority in the provincial assembly and form its own government made up of odds and ends, even the ‘Qatil’ League. In an article of a few weeks ago I had asked to what avail had the PPP allowed the loud and in-your-face and adolescent Salman Taseer his shenanigans? For they will only bring grief to the party, and to those that sail in her.

I end with quoting from Taseer’s promoter, the Commando, who during his present visit to India has said he is quite willing to take over Pakistan’s presidency once more, if he is asked nicely. The man has brass of a very special kind, indeed.

Pakis are more worried about cricket. They should worry about fundos controlling everyday of Pakis life.

This I didn't know. How did SL help TSP in '71?
Viren,

The Sri Lankans provided the pukes with transit facilities during the 1971 conflict. India had banned overflights so the pukes had taken to stopping over in Sri Lanka to refuel on their way to East Pakistan.

When Indira Gandhi found out, she was pissed and threatened the Lankans with dire consequences if they did not stop - at which point they stopped.
