<b>Mangalore Mayor Ganesh Hosabettu Registers Criminal Case against Renuka Chowdhury</b>

Mangalore, Feb 17: On behalf of the City Corporation mayor Ganesh Hosabettu and others, advocate P P Hegde registered a criminal case in the court of the chief judicial magistrate here, against union minister for women and child welfare Renuka Chowdhury on Monday February 16.

The plaint filed by the advocate avers, that the minister in question has committed offences under Indian Penal Code sections 153 A pertaining to issuance of statements inciting communal disharmony, 153 B (assertions prejudicial to national integrity) and 505 (creating or promoting enmity and hatred or ill-will between classes.

The court which accepted the complaint, has ordered for registration of a private complaint against the accused. In a press conference held later, Hegde said that the offences mentioned in the petition are punishable with imprisonment up to three years. The hearing in the case has been posted to Tuesday February 17. Mayor Ganesh Hosabettu was present in the press conference.

They said that the union minister already is facing three cases relating to assaulting a police constable, barging into Banjara police station in Hyderabad in the year 2004 and destroying assets.

It is learnt, that several Mahila Mandals, Yuvaka Mandals and some dignitaries of the city have joined the mayor in registering the case.

Hosabettu however clarified, that the complaint had been filed by him in his personal capacity and not on behalf of the City Corporation. Further, the advocate has agreed to argue the case without charging any fee, he informed.

This article is instructive in that it also seems to indicate that the DeccanHerald is now coming under the influence of/being taken over by others (psecularism/the 'True Religion') - in spite of the Hindu cow in its Trademark name.
It's the DeccanHerald second article that has made me think it in recent times.

but of course mohammedans are by definition victims, never victimizers.

i think since the girl was underage, this would be considered statutory rape.

but of course, all the media can think of is: blame the bajrang dal.

this is like, when a mosquito bit john dayal, he called a press conference saying he knew it was a BJP mosquito. but when a christist boy who married a mohammedan girl was beheaded in bangalore two years ago, john dayal (and his mosquito) were extremely quiet. so was the deccan herald.

Hi Rajeev,

See the distortion in the headline and the body of the story. And this bilge was on the front page!

http://www.deccanherald.com/Content/Feb122...n=frontpagenews

Apparently Bajrang Dal persons tried to prevent a 15 year old girl being lured away by an adherent of the ROP and complained to the police. The girl's parents took her away and later she committed suicide. Parents blame the Muslim but the paper Deccan Herald, blames the Bajrang Dal. What's with these dhimmi papers anyway. Guess it all means that the money for these rags is coming from dubious sources!

Chris

Dear Editor

Congratulations on your thoughtful Editorial: Rightly Warned-Orissa Karnataka fail in their duties in your issue of 20th September 08.

You have applauded the Central Government for taking such a step and expressed the wish that if these Governments do not protect minorities, further constitutional steps be taken and even dismissed, if necessary. No righteous person would condone killings of Christians, harassing them and attacking their shrines/Churches.

However, you failed to show such a concern, when Hindu and Sikh Minorities were persecuted and uprooted in Jammu and Kashmir. Till today, you have not expressed any concern about the Hindu and Sikh refugees of the partition in this State, who till today are not regarded bonafide residents of this State and as such have no rights as other citizens there. Furthermore, your comments about the recent temporary allocation of Land for the Amarnath Shrine have not been in favour of the Minority Community of Jammu and Kashmir.

I trust that the Tribune will show the magnanimity of concern for all the Minorities and not just Muslim and or Christian Minority!<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

There seems to be a new creature called an Indo-Pukestani going about. I've never seen one before, and even the latest online picture books haven't got a photo or even a sketch yet. <!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>“Indo-Pakistani” label in Paris murder draws expatriate ire</b>

Vaiju Naravane

“<b>Paksitanis</b> are giving us a bad name”, say Indian expatriates

<b>The term is meaningless and its use is unfortunate, says journalist</b>

Paris: French police arrested six Pakistanis, including one woman, after the killing of a French off-duty policeman late Saturday in the Paris suburb of Courneuve. The policeman’s service revolver was found near the garbage bins of the building in which the six Pakistanis live.

However, media — including newspapers, radio and television — citing police sources identified the six arrested people as belonging to the “Indo-Pakistani community”, a term which has angered the Indian community here.
Angry calls

<b>As a result, The Hindu’s office in Paris was flooded with angry calls from the Indian community. “I take great offence at the use of the term “Indo-Pakistani community” to describe people who are purely Pakistani nationals,” said a caller who identified himself as Naresh.</b> “It would be the same if a French or German person arrested in India were to be referred to as belonging to ‘Franco-German or Franco British community’ simply because the two countries happen to be neighbours. The Indian community is completely separate from the Pakistani community and the two have nothing in common. We belong to different sovereign countries.”
(Does that red line mean it was The Chindu that started this latest lame trend? Can it be? I knew the christian media was as geographically illiterate as the rest of the world that studied in a christian school, but wouldn't this be a bit too much exhibition of ignorance on their part?)

A woman caller said: “The Pakistanis here are giving us a bad name. They are involved in all kinds of trafficking and it is suspected that this policeman was in some way linked to an extortion racket with those arrested. We should not be lumped with the Pakistanis simply because we come from roughly the same geographical area.”

<b>Gilles Poux, Communist Mayor of Courneuve, was quoted as saying: “There appeared to be a quarrel between people belonging to the Indo-Pakistani community. Many shops in this busy locality have been bought by members of this community.”</b>
(Chindu would know who's a kkkomrade.)

Police authorities in France could not be reached and this reporter was sent back and forth between police headquarters in Paris and La Courneuve.

When contacted, the Indian embassy said it would be taking up the matter with the French Interior Ministry.

Stephane Sellami, a journalist from the Le Parisien newspaper told The Hindu: “I agree the term ‘Indo-Pakistani’ is meaningless and its use is unfortunate. But there seems to be some confusion as to the exact origin of the six arrested persons. Fresh reports indicate that they might be from Sri Lanka. But we have no confirmation yet. The paper has used the term in order to give our readers an idea of the general geographical area to which the suspects belong. But I agree it is not satisfactory and we shall make changes to the copy.”

The circumstances of the policeman’s death remain mysterious and authorities are looking into why the man was in the locality in civilian clothing on his day off while carrying his service revolver.

<b>“The arrested persons are not dangerous criminals. They come from the Sri Lankan or Pakistani milieu and often engage in commercial fraud,” Frederic Lagache, an official from the Alliance policemen’s union told AFP.</b>
(Wah? They kill a cop and they're "not dangerous criminals". Well, okay Frederic, c'est comme tu veux...)

<b>The term “Indo-Pakistani” was coined in France by Pakistani restaurant owners wishing to take advantage of the fame of Indian cuisine.</b> That term has now been extended to the entire sub-continental community encompassing Indians, Pakistanis and Sri Lankans, much to the annoyance of Indians who say both the Sri Lankans and the Pakistanis engage in illegal activities, giving them a bad name.
(Phew, it wasn't the Chindu that coined the phrase. I mean, they have a closet full of embarrassments already, I don't think they could fit this one in as well.)<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Hindu food is yum. How sad that TSP can't cook and can't invent any dishes either.

Broadcaster NDTV has received the approval of shareholders to demerge its business into two separate entities. While one company will house the news channels, the second will house the lifestyle and entertainment channels and other businesses. Should new strategic or financial investors be roped in, value could be created for shareholders. Otherwise, although the split does allow investors a choice of an exposure to <b>either the news or the entertainment genres, the bad news is that NDTV isn’t doing too well in either.</b> In the December 2008 quarter for instance, <b>revenues from the news operations fell 10 per cent to Rs 82 crore and the business posted a loss of Rs16 crore.</b> NDTV 24x7 is among the top three English news channels but it is becoming increasingly difficult to scale up the business in a crowded space.

In the equally cluttered <b>Hindi news segment, NDTV India is now among the smaller players with Aaj Tak retaining its number one position</b>. The business news channel <b>NDTV profit has always lagged way behind market leader CNBC TV18</b>; with the arrival of ET No, the competition can only become more intense. As for the entertainment business, NDTV Imagine’s gross rating points range somewhere between 60-80 and the channel is believed to be clocking revenues of around Rs 35 crore a quarter.

<b>Over the past few weeks, the top three Hindi channels have cornered a viewership share of 65 per cent indicating that these channels are becoming stronger. With Colors having shaken up the space with its disruptive programming, NDTV Imagine is now finding it hard to attract viewers</b> and unless it spends a huge amount on fresh content, shoring up GRPs will not be easy.

While NBC Universal, does have a 26 per cent stake in NDTV Networks, which it picked up for $150 million in January last year, NDTV doesn’t seem to have benefited too much from NBC’s content and distribution strengths. <b>In the December 2008 quarter NDTV’s consolidated net losses (pre-esops) were just over Rs 100 crore.</b>

My goodness, these christianised individus are such liars. Where's her references to Hindus attacking Jews? "India ... has a past track record of severe oppression and virtual elimination of the Jewish population in Cochin". If at all true, it would have been the christos and their christoportuguese masters who did that.

Christonazis' lies are always the same.

And it's the congress that carried out the pogrom against Sikhs. And it's the Khalistanis that have attacked Hindus.

Another excerpt:
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Possible reason behind Sonia Gandhi´s statement is she fully understands the inner minds of the Indian Hindus, who hold extreme hatred for Muslim, Sikhs, <b>Jews</b>, Christians and other religious minority groups. She also understands the fact that rise of religious minority forces in politics should be checked for the sake of ensuring the continuation of the Nehru Dynasty in Indian politics.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
- Sikhs??
- So now the christian paper AmericanChronicle and its writer Paul want to present Hindus as anti-semites. How predictable that they provide no supporting data to back all their christolies up. Meanwhile, the real anti-semites are christoislamics and christoislamics alone.
- Christoislamaniacs have the most extreme hatred of Hindus and won't let them exist in peace. So if some Hindus have learnt to hate christoislamism back? Christoislamics are constantly genociding Dharmics left and right, apparently it is expected of Hindus to continue to accept and nurture the terrorists instead of recognising their ideology for what it is: plain terrorism.

Someone should ask the AmeriKKKan chronicle to get their christoliar "Sunita Paul" to give irrefutable evidence for at least this one grand claim she makes: that Hindus (yes, she is hinting at Hindus) have "virtually eliminated the Jewish population in Cochin" and that there's been "rape of scores of ... Jewish girls and women by the fanatic members of Bharatiya Janata Party, VHP, Bajrang Dal and others".

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Grabbing of properties belonging to religious minority groups throughout India.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->It's the christoislamics who have grabbed Hindu properties including land and buildings.
It's always a particularly christoterrorist tactic to lie and present themselves as the persecuted by inverting the real situation. Christoislamism should be banned from Bharatam. Such constant christolying is what results from trying to coexist with it. Christoislamism makes coexistence impossible.

From "The online database of Jewish Communities", page <b>The Jewish Community of Cochin</b>
http://www.bh.org.il/Communities/Archive/Cochin.asp
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Under the Portuguese rule (1502-1663), the Jews of Cochin could not have survived had it not been for the protection and liberty afforded them by the Rajah of Cochin, who welcomed the new Jewish immigrants, allotted them land to build their homes and synagogues - in the proximity of his own palace in Mattancheri, now known as Jew town - and granted them religious and cultural autonomy.</b> He appointed a hereditary Mudaliar ("chief") from among the Jews as their recognized spokesman and invested him with special privileges and prerogatives and with jurisdiction in all internal matters of the communal organization of the Cochin Jews, though without any political power. This office continued in force under the Rajah and even the Dutch. The first Mudaliar is said to have been Baruch Joseph Levi of Cranganore, who was succeeded by his son, Joseph Levi. The title and position of the Mudaliar was then acquired by the Castiel family. The Jews of Cochin repaid the benevolence of the Rajah by helping him in his military struggles with neighboring enemies, earning a reputation as courageous and loyal fighters. They refused, however, to go to battle on the Sabbath. Most of the Mudaliars became the Rajah's close advisers, and assisted him in diplomatic and economic affairs.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--><!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->The Cochin Jews showed their sympathy with the emerging modern Zionist movement under Theodor Herzl, in a letter wishing Herzl success, written in Cochin in 1901 by Naphtali Eliahu Rahabi (Roby). In 1923, the first Zionist organization was founded in Cochin, and the Jews sent representatives to the Zionist Federation in London and even appointed I. Zangwill as their representative to one of the Zionist congresses, being themselves unable to send a delegate.

<b>In 1948, most of the 2,500 Jews that lived in Cochin emigrated to Eretz Israel leaving less than 100 there. The magnificent 16th century Paradesi synagogue in Cochin still exists.</b>

In 1970, the Jews from Cochin in Israel numbered approximately 4,000.The magnificent 16th century Paradesi synagogue in Cochin is still in use.

In 1997, there were 6,000 Jews living in India, most of them in and around Bombay. The magnificent 16th century Paradesi synagogue in Cochin still exists.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
And again, even wacky has to admit:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cochin_Jews
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Cochin Jews today</b>

<b>Today most of Cochin's Jews have emigrated (principally to Israel).</b> Large groups have settled in the Moshav of Nevatim in the Negev (southern Israel) and Moshav of Yuval in the North, in the neighborhood of Katamon in Jerusalem, in Beer Sheva, Dimona and Yeruham. In both places there are Cochin synagogues. In Kerala there are still three synagogues; the one at Mattancherry, Cochin is still functioning.

<b>Historically, part of the decline in Kerala's Jewish population can also be attributed to conversion. [5] Jews who converted during the time of St. Thomas and later, became Kerala's Nasrani or St. Thomas Christians. [5] While Jewish heritage is most readily observed among the Knanaya Christian-Jews of Kerala, elements of Jewish practice are present in most St. Thomas Christian denominations.</b> [5]<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->So, it turns out that the christians eliminated the Jews, just like they eliminated them everywhere else. How unexpected.

And again, according to their stories of earlier arrivals, it was Hindus that helped them, and it was the muslims and the christos (in this case, the christians of Portugal) who attacked and persecuted them. Note how a Hindu raja saves them again:
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Jews came to Kerala and settled as early as 700 BC for trade. An old, but not particularly reliable, tradition says that Jews of Cochin came in mass to Cranganore (an ancient port, near Cochin) after the destruction of the Temple in 70 C.E. A chieftain by the name of Joseph Rabban, according to local tradition, was granted a principality over the Jews of Cochin by the Chera Emperor of Kerala, Bhaskara Ravivarman II [3]. His descendents had, in effect, their own principality (called Anjuvannam in Indian sources) for many centuries until a chieftainship dispute broke out between two brothers (one of them named Joseph Azar) in the 15th century. The dispute led neighboring princes to dispossess them. <b>In 1524, the Muslims, backed by the ruler of Calicut (today called Kozhikode), attacked the Jews of Cranganore on the pretext that they were tampering with the pepper trade. Most Jews fled to Cochin and went under the protection of the Hindu Raja there.</b> He granted them a site for their own town that later acquired the name "Jew Town" (by which it is still known).
Hebrew inscription at the Paradesi Synagogue in Cochin.

<b>Unfortunately for the Jews of Cochin, the Portuguese occupied Cochin in this same period and indulged in persecution of the Jews until the Dutch displaced them in 1660.</b> The Dutch Protestants were tolerant, and the Jews prospered. In 1795 Cochin was occupied by and came under the control of the British Empire. In the 19th century, Cochin Jews lived in the towns of Cochin, Ernakulam, Aluva and North Paravur.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

And contrast the christoislamic terrorism against Indian Jews with how Hindus treated them, as per Cochin-Jewish narratives of their settlement in Kerala:
http://adaniel.tripod.com/cochin.htm
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>As a gratitude for their contribution to the kingdom, the ruler Sri Parkaran Iravi Vanmar gave to the head of the Jewish community Joseph Rabban the village of Anjuvannam and pronounced him the Prince of this village.</b> These Jewish rulers had all the rights preserved to the ruling families of the Indian kingdoms. But till today there isn’t an agreement among the scholars on the exact date when this ‘Jewish kingdom’ was established. Different scholars give different dates to the establishment of this principality. Some claim it to be in the 4 century A. D. Others claim it to be at a much later period around10 century A. D. According to the Cochini Jews the ‘princely rights’ (written on copper plates and therefore called Copper Plates) were given to them in 379 A. Christianism breeds genocidal maniacs who then become liars (like Sunita Paul, no doubt a covert christo if not an overt one) when they want to transpose their crimes against humanity onto innocent Natural traditionalists.

<b>Foreword
The Last Jews of Cochin: Jewish Identity in Hindu India
Daniel J. Elazar</b>
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->The authors raise numerous points of interest to ordinary readers and scholars alike. <b>Who is not curious as to how the Jews of India survived for so long in an atmosphere of tolerance when other Jewish communities such as that in China, benefitting from similar toleration, assimilated so thoroughly. Their argument is that India as a host society combined tolerance with culturally enforced diversity which made the difference.</b> Indian society, with its several major religions and further division within Hinduism into four major castes, a fifth of outcasts, and over 3,000 subcastes, tolerates wide diversity but does not permit people born into one group to cross over into another or even to associate with the others beyond the public square, since the food taboos of every religious community, caste and subcaste mean that they cannot eat with one another. Nothing separates more than that. The Jewish community could fit into India as another caste and even developed its own subcastes, as the authors explain, properly denoting this as the Cochin Jews' one great (and sad) departure from halakhic Judaism.

This book is especially important because the authors document the last year of complete life of the organized Jewish community when they were in residence in Cochin. It was during that year that for the first time in hundreds of years or more the Jews were unable to muster at least a minyan (a ten-man prayer quorum) to conduct Sabbath services in their synagogue. Thus the authors record the last gasps of a once-flourishing community. <b>They devote the last part of their book to describing the dissolution of that community, principally as a result of aliya to the State of Israel.</b>
(Again: it is because Cochin Jews chose to leave for Israel that they are now so sparse in Hindu Kerala. Contrary to christolies, Hindus did not eliminate them, though Cochin-Jewish history records that islamaniacs and christomaniacs persecuted and converted them.)

In doing so, intentionally or not, they make the case for Zionism in the modern and postmodern worlds. All too often, the case for Zionism is made out to be one of finding a refuge for persecuted Jews. While this was true of much of the Jewish world, the case of the <b>Cochin Jews is a very different one. These Jews, like those of the contemporary West, were not persecuted. Rather, modernity, which destroyed of traditional society, everywhere it touched, destroyed theirs as well, making it impossible to maintain their old way of life in the diaspora.</b>

(The following is both interesting and understandable: They say psecularism - deHinduisation of the host society - is what threatened Jewish survival in Cochin)
<b>As the authors indicate, it was the very success of modernization and secularization in Indian society that threatened the survival of the community as young people began to be attracted into the Indian mainstream and it became impossible for the community to live in the old ways and thus preserve the old traditions.</b> Thus those who wanted to remain Jews felt the necessity to move to the Jewish state where being Jewish was protected by the fact of living within a politically separated and independent civil society. <b>The Jewish way of life which the Cochin Jews found in Israel was not the traditional way of life that they knew. Indeed, as the authors indicate, they felt that they had been better Jews from the perspective of religious tradition in India than they had become in Israel</b>, where even for those who wanted to fully maintain traditions, the pace of life according to the modern tempo denied them the "luxury" of doing so, but they could survive as Jews, something that had become increasingly difficult in the "old country" as a tiny minority.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->So while it was Hindu Bharatam, the Jews were better Jews and could preserve their way of life. When India psecularised they couldn't do so anymore and moved to Israel. Then they found that in Hindu India they had been able to be better Jews than in Israel.

<b>Pak kids’ fondness for Hindi cartoons worries parents</b>

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Karachi Pakistani kids growing addiction to Hindi cartoon TV channels is becoming a cause of concern for their parents.

“Yeh hamari parampara kai khilaaf hai!” the parents of Ali Shah, 6, were stunned when they first heard the sentence in Hindi from their son.

At first, they were amused and laughed, but soon they realized that their son was fast getting influenced by Hindi culture.

“One day, we took our son to a wedding and on the way back home, he asked me, ‘Dad how come we’re going back even though the wedding hasn’t taken place?” said Muhammad Nawaz, whose son’s idea of a wedding was seeing a couple take circles round the fire.

“I found out that Ali had been watching a cartoon channel that was in Hindi language and was picking up things from there,” he added.

Ali is not the only child in Karachi who is getting influenced by Indian culture, but a large number of families claim that Hindi TV channels are making their children aware of Hindu mythology.

“Children are addicted to these Hindi channels for kids while I would like them to enhance their English language skills,” said Soha Ali, a parent.

According to the Daily Times, almost all cable operators are running the Hindi version of children’s TV channels. Since Hindi and Urdu are pretty similar, it becomes easier for kids to develop a fondness towards Hindi language programs.

“We run cartoon channels in Hindi because children find it easier to understand,” said Fateh Muhammad, owner of the Star Cable Network.

“Neither had we received any instructions from government not to run these channels nor any complaints have been received from the customers in this regard,” he added.

Critics, however, do not agree with the cable operators.

“The culture shown in these cartoons creates doubts in the minds of the children and later on, they find it difficult to come to terms with their own traditions,” said Inam ur Rehman, a media expert.

Pak parents are worried, because their kids will not become jihadis and not becoming a jihadi is against their culture. Dear Pak brothern please don't forget your roots. None of your ancestors converted to Islam for the love of it they all converted under threat of the sword. Please let your kids have an open mind maybe down the road they will have open arms too.

"later on, they find it difficult to come to terms with their own traditions" - that's funny because thier past tradition was Hinduism which they now can't come to terms with!<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
