He <b>claims</b> he worked in RSS for 41 years.
That would make him at least 60 or thereabouts now. (And able to write so well in English, so adept at using the internet and blogs - after being in the RSS for so long - how interesting. Not quite the illiterati that the psecular newspapers claim for the RSS members.) But this may not signify.
More amazing is that he knows the missionary arguments inside out. What a shame that he makes such bad mistakes then when it comes to exhibiting an (at least) equally intimate knowledge of Hindus, Hindu orgs or Hinduism.

With this easy statement of "41 yrs of RSS service" he tries to create a sense of authority in readers' minds. Using it, he then claims all these Hindu groups are casteist and whatnot, in order to cast aspersions on them; without readers daring to question him on it.

Oh, and the usual missionary spiel about 'brahmins are in control' and an interesting new kind of argument: 'they are the ones dividing the country':
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->99% of all saints , shankaracharyas , gurus , kathavachaks , RSS Leaders are all brahmins . They believe in casteism and promote only brahminism and policies in favour of brahmins to get power. They try and divide Hindus into SC ,ST , OBC , MBC , BC, Dalits ,etc and try to sit on their top and dictate them.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->(1) Is Sonia Maino a brahmin? Is Manmohan "islamis must have first claim on resources" Singh a brahmin? Is Laloo one? I'm not even talking about Brahmanas here, just the word 'brahmin' which appears to mean someone from some particular communities.
And (except for some communists whose distant ancestors may possibly have been Brahmanas) any of those who are pushing for creating further reservations and causing more groups to self-label themselves as 'Dalit' - are they 'brahmins' too?
Then who in the world is it that is actually pushing for fragmentation and a caste-conscious, divided society? Psecular, Christo and communist stooges. No Hindus involved there, so we can leave out the subset thereof that is brahmin communities.

(2) How much this 'Hindu' making all these allegations appears to know about 'Shankaracharyas', for him to totally ignore what the Kanchi Math has been doing, for instance.

By the way, yes, all Hindu Saints are Brahmanas. So is Valmiki and so is Vyasa. All Rishis are. It's *by definition*.
And all self-claimed 'brahmin' communists, pseculars and other liars - in spite of waving any 'brahmin' badge - are mlecchas. Again, *by definition*.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->After analysing , I came to conclusion that Brahmins are the majority who support the evil caste and jati vyavastha.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->What analysis was that? The one he learnt by-heart at church or mosque or Komrade-gathering? Insinuating his made-up pseudo-character into a blog and then make all the usual missionary claims. (With no proof whatsoever, too. What possesses anyone to believe him.)

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->If Brahmins leave their arrogance , pride , casteism and brahminism and support <b>Real Hindutva</b> and Nationalism , They will rule India forever……………<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Many cryptos have been repeating these long-standing missionary statements in sites across the internet.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->If Brahmins ... They will rule India forever<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->What's all this about ruling India? Is he referring to the Ramayanam being about a Rama? But he was a Kshatriya. My mistake. It must be the Mahabharatam, then. No, wait. All of the rulers were Kshatriyas too. All the heroes we've been rooting for to fight evil and bad, the royal ruling heroes of our Puranas, immortalised forever in the hearts of Hindus - they're all (Gasp! Shock! Cardiac Arrest!) Kshatriyas...
Mauryas and Shivaji, the Reddy Kings fighting the islamis.

They didn't teach that in christian school, did they.

Here's a dude who uses all the terms that only an anti-Hindu would use: 'Dalits' (instead of Harijan; although ignorant pseculars use this term too), 'brahminism' as if Brahmanas practise a different religion from the 'Hindus' (who are now apparently a separate class altogether <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' /><!--endemo--> ), and trying to blackmark the RSS. And with mere say-so; no evidence.
All the marks of a non-Hindu - I'd have thought this conclusion quite obvious. Every missionary fib is in there, and yet people on that blog were responding to this guy as if he were instantly trustworthy.
All you need is to claim you're a Hindu. Like the guy in question. He tossed in a mention of supporting some 'Real Hindutva' just so that the credulous Hindus reading won't suspect.

Pseudo-Hindus are very useful: they're like adding a drop of oil into a large bottle of water. Low-intensity spam: small efforts, huge dividends if you manage to convince even some of the gullible readers - the kind who instantly believe any lies, but find it hard to believe any truths.

Why does anyone accept anything this guy says at face value, when he has repeated every single line in the Missionary Handbook For India? Oh, I forgot. That's right. He's interspersed his little post with "Jai Hind" and other endearing little statements like his finale:
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->I am Hindu first and Hindu last.
To live every moment of my life to serve Bharatmata and
sacrifice my life when time comes to defend Bharatmata.
Jai Hindu Rashtra.
Jai Hind
Jai Bhavani.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->That proves it, then. Because no impostor <i>could possibly</i> have made such affirmations. Our enemies wouldn't lie: christoislamis, communists. They always tell the absolute truth, don't ya know. They would find it too hard to copy & paste Hindu, Rashtra, Hind (just in case someone missed the preceeding line on 'Hindu Rashtra'), Bhavani, Bharatmata.
And remember: he said that he's been in the RSS for 41 years, that makes him <i>reliable</i>. So he must know what he's talking about when he says the RSS, VHP, BJP, whatever all are casteist/divisive/whatnot. Because anything anyone claims on the internet (without giving any source for us to verify his words) <i>must</i> be true, after all. It's <i>inconceivable</i> that someone could just be lying behind an assumed name. So by all means, let's take all his words as the absolute truth.

If someone in plain clothes walked up to you to arrest you for some preposterous crime, you'd ask to see their badge wouldn't you? Then why, when someone - merely <i>claiming</i> to be a Hindu - slanders established Hindu groups like the RSS, would any automatically believe it? <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Americans believe in both evolution, creationism: poll

Fri Jun 8, 2:34 PM ET

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Asked their views on whether human life is a result of God's creation or a product of evolution, one quarter of Americans chose both conflicting theories, a poll suggested Friday.

"All told, 25 percent say that both creationism and evolution are definitely or probably true," USA Today said.

Overall, more Americans expressed a strong belief in creationism, or the theory that God created humans in their present form at a single period in time within the last 10,000 years.

A full 66 percent said they believed in creationism, with 39 percent of those polled saying it was definitely true and 27 percent believing it was probably true.

But 53 percent said they believed in evolution, the scientific theory that humans developed over millions of years from less advanced forms of life. Eighteen percent said evolution was definitely true, while 35 percent said it was probably true.

The results were released in a USA Today/Gallup poll of 1,007 adults, taken between June 1-3. The margin of error was three percent.

The polarizing issue of how life came to be has worked its way into US classrooms in recent years. Some states have enacted legislation that says teachers must include critical analysis of Charles Darwin's evolutionary theory.

More recently, the question divided Republican presidential candidates who traditionally represent the Christian conservative elements of US society, with three answering in last month's debate that they do not believe in evolution.

Evangelist claims Reddy had sought $5 million

Friday, 08 June , 2007

Hyderabad: A Christian evangelist on Friday alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had demanded $5 million for party funds in December 2003 even as the later denied the allegations as 'wild' and 'baseless'.

K A Paul, chairman of the Global Peace Initiative (GPI), told newspersons that Reddy had sought the money from him and promised to help GPI go overseas.

He alleged that the Chief Minister, accompanied by senior Congress leader Botsa Satyanarayana, now a state minister, approached him in December 2003 seeking funds for 2004 elections. He claimed that he had declined to pay the money.

Paul alleged that he was facing threat to his life as Reddy bore grudge against him for refusing to give money. "Now my life is under threat from Dr Reddy," he said.

However, Reddy told a news conference on Friday that he did visit the orphanage run by Paul's brother on his invitation in December 2003. "But I never asked for money. When Dr Paul wanted that All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Sonia Gandhi be invited to the orphanage, I spoke to her but she did not evince any interest," said Reddy.

The Chief Minister said that Paul was friend of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu. "I don't know why he is making such wild and baseless allegations," he said.

http://sify.com/news/fullstory.php?id=14468227

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember (Dr) Paul - yes, the same who goes around lunging himself at hindus because he just can't seem to take control of his emotions (christian fanaticism can do that to someone's mind). Well, if there is any truth in the above allegations, it would be worth investigating - after all it explains the rigorous efforts by the CM Samuel at christianizing the state of AP. If such allegations (or even a hint of it) of politicians, senators, or congressmen are made in the US, the journalists of the US media will swoop down on it like vultures, investigating and probing - after all it is a hot story. But, of course, in India, the majority of the Indian press regularly stand outside the various christian missions for handouts, and will suppress any news that will incriminate the christian politicians and leaders, or blemish their 'pure' christian image, in exchange for the handouts. The mainstream Indian press, with exception of one or two Indian newspapers. probably has the least credibility in the world - there is more ounce of truth to be found in the (sleazy) tabloids than in the mainstream newspapers and magazine in the country.

Frankly, I phind this type of American behavior very disturbing. Roots of this behavior lie in the Church's de-emphasis of baby Jeebus's childhood, which has been divested of play narratives.

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Police said an Iowa woman wanted a wedding gown so badly that she would have traded her child for it.

Davenport, Iowa, police charged 31-year-old Marcy Gant with one felony count of sale of an individual. She is accused of trying to sell her 4-year-old son.

They said Gant bought a wedding dress from a local street vendor, paid part of the tab, and offered her son to make up the rest of the balance.

"During negotiations for the payment of this wedding dress, on at least two occasions, Ms. Gant offered her 4-year-old son as collateral," Capt. Dave Struckman of the Davenport Police Department.

Neighbors said they were shocked.

"(There is) something very mentally wrong with her to think that that is OK," said Angie Bruce, Gant's neighbor. "(If) those children go back to her they're in danger. That's just not acceptable if the state lets her have those children back."

If convicted, Gant could face 10 years in prison.

Gant's 4-year-old son and her 10-year-old son have been taken into protective custody.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<b>NGO turns child predator : CNN-IBN </b>
http://indiasecular .wordpress. com
Anita Sinha

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Bodhgaya: Declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 2002, Bodhgaya in Bihar is a holy city for Buddhists the world over. Over 600 NGOs operate here, many claiming to work for the welfare of the district’s under-privileged children.

Samanvaya Ashram is one such NGO that shelters children essentially from the Dalit-Bhuiyan community.

But that's not all they do here. CNN-IBN has found children just five years old are illegally subjected to labour at the Ashram, having made to wash clothes and work in the Ashram kitchen.

“We cook, get water, work in the kitchen and even out there in the fields,” says an Ashram student Amritya.

Another student Sonu also testified to therampant child labour. “We wash our clothes and after class go to the fields where we are made to plough. Thereafter we cook too.”

Shahbuddin, a leading Western Union money transfer agent for many NGOs run by foreigners in Gaya, alleges that most NGOs that offer shelter to children in the holy town are actually dens for paedophiles and child-molesters.

"It is an open secret. There are many paedophiles here,” he says.

The Gaya police do admit to the problem of paedophilia off-the-record but say that without a complaint, they cannot investigate.

<b>However, they do accuse some NGOs of pushing a religious conversion agenda.

"In the name of religion and helping the people, there are many underground conversions also. For that purpose, some of the foreign countries are spending a lot of money. They can't directly come to the local people so NGOs are the best medium. They must be approaching NGOs,” says DIG, Magadh Range Umesh Kumar Singh.</b>

Investigation done by CNN-IBN clearly establishes the suspicious role of NGOs. But this might be just a tip of the iceberg.

Now, as the saviours turn tormentors and pocket the donation money, it's for the state government and the administration to wake up and take due action.

Indian judges OK 'Hindu Taliban'
Police given unlimited power to jail those talking of Christ

The Supreme Court in India has given police across the nation unlimited power to arrest and detain anyone who has been accused of talking to another person about Christianity.

The report comes from the World Evangelical Alliance Religious Liberty Commission, which issued the alert on its News & Analysis mailing list, and Assist News Service.

The WEA report by researcher Elizabeth Kendall said the ruling "opens the door for police with Hindutya sympathies to act as Hindu Taliban."

Hindutya is a militant Hinduism that seeks political and religious dominance.

"Nuns, pastors, bishops and evangelists, as well as Christian aid workers, teachers and social workers, are all immediately at risk of arrest and imprisonment because of their Christian witness," Kendall's report said.

As WorldNetDaily has reported, India is moving up on the list of nations around the world where Christians are persecuted.

"In fact, every Christian, actively witnessing or not, is at risk from hostile elements that may exploit the opportunity to bring false charges against them, inspired by a variety of motives, in the same manner that the blasphemy law is exploited for personal gain in Pakistan," Kendall wrote.

The technical ruling from India's Supreme Court was that police are not required to have warrants to file First Issue Reports and arrest and detain suspects.

According to the Times of India, the ruling relieves police and prosecutors of the requirement of "prior sanction" from the federal or state governments, or a local prosecutor.

The previous practice that protected religious leaders in their speech was found in the Criminal Procedure Code, which says, "no court shall take cognizance" of a complaint about proselytizing unless there was government approval for the arrest.
<b>
But the new court ruling from Justices G.P. Mathur and Dalveer Bhandari said the only requirement for an arrest on those charges is a complaint, relieving police of that "authorization" requirement that was set for the courts.</b>

The decision, described by the IndLaw.com website, came in a case involving Pastor Paulrai Raju of Kanartaka state. He was beaten by Hindus last year and arrested on charges of trying to convert Hindus to Christianity. His wife petitioned on the basis there was no warrant, and a lower court quashed the case.

But the state government appealed and the case eventually ended up before the Supreme Court.

Kendall's report said the Times of India noted the court explained that although a prior sanction would be required for a court to hear the case, that is not needed before someone could be accused by police, then arrested and detained, for proselytizing.

"Mere production of the arrested accused before the magistrate and the latter remanding him to custodial detention does not amount to taking cognizance of the offence, for which alone prior sanction is required," the court's opinion said.

Yes, these rapists, child molesters, exploiters and abusers of the poor and the vulnerable will squeal, kick and scream when they are finally cornered and the noose is tightened around their necks! Such is the nature of the christian BULLY.

He has had a free reign to do as he pleases, all these centuries, with NO ONE to question him, his authority, and his conduct. And, now finally, the people are fed up with their atrocities and criminal acts, which have all been cloaked in a shroud of rendering 'social service.' It is about time the law protected the vulnerable sections of the society, and kept these christian lechers from getting their grubby hands on the young and the old, and the poor.

I don't mind if the christians want to engage in ''social work,'' but under ONE condition. They must all be chemically castrated - every christian in the world - every one of them.

In fact, one of the pre-conditons for conversion to christianity should be chemical castration! If a christian wants to open an orphanage, remand home, or school, he/she must be castrated, and a certificate of castration produced before he/she registers the organization. There is to be NO compromise on that precondition! If one agrees to that condition, they are free to convert to christianity, and free to do social work, or whatever it is that they claim to be doing.

<b>Former Catholic Sister Says Mother Teresa Is a Fraud</b>

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->June 6, 2007

For nine years Susan Shields worked as a devoted Catholic Sister, working
for Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity. When finally becoming fed-up in
1989, she left Mother Teresa in disgust over the misuse of millions in
charitable donations that never got to their destination -- the poor and
afflicted.

Shields story was recently sent to the Arctic Beacon, as  printed in the
Free Inquiry Magazine, <b>revealing how Mother Teresa really  turned a blind eye
to the poor while millions of dollars in donations are still  sitting
in Vatican bank accounts.</b>

Here is her story entitled "Mother Teresa's  House of Illusions:
How She Harmed Her Helpers As Well As Those They  `Helped'

"Some years after I became a Catholic, I joined  Mother Teresa's
congregation, the Missionaries of Charity. I was one of her  sisters for
nine and a half years, living in the Bronx, Rome, and San  Francisco, until
I became disillusioned and left in May 1989. <b>As I  re-entered the world, I
slowly began to unravel the tangle of lies in which  I had lived. I
wondered how I could have believed them for so long. </b>

"Three of Mother Teresa's teachings that are fundamental to her  religious
congregation are all the more dangerous because they are believed  so
sincerely by her sisters. Most basic is the belief that as long as a
sister obeys she is doing God's will. Another is the belief that the
sisters have leverage over God by choosing to suffer. Their suffering
makes God very happy. He then dispenses more graces to humanity. The
third is the belief that any attachment to human beings, even the poor
being served, supposedly interferes with love of God and must be
vigilantly avoided or immediately uprooted. The efforts to prevent any
attachments cause continual chaos and confusion, movement and change in
the congregation. <b>Mother Teresa did not invent these beliefs - they were
prevalent in religious congregations before Vatican II - but she did
everything in her power (which was great) to enforce them. </b>

"Once a  sister has accepted these fallacies she will do almost anything.
She can  allow her health to be destroyed, neglect those she vowed to
serve, and  switch off her feelings and independent thought. She can turn
a blind eye to  suffering, inform on her fellow sisters, tell lies with
ease, and ignore  public laws and regulations.

Women from many nations joined Mother  Teresa in the expectation that they
would help the poor and come closer to  God themselves. When I left, there
were more than 3,000 sisters in  approximately 400 houses scattered
throughout the world. Many of these  sisters who trusted Mother Teresa to
guide them have become broken people.  <b>In the face of overwhelming
evidence, some of them have finally admitted  that their trust has been
betrayed, that God could not possibly be giving  the orders they hear</b>. It
is difficult for them to decide to leave - their  self-confidence has been
destroyed, and they have no education beyond what  they brought with them
when they joined. I was one of the lucky ones who  mustered enough courage
to walk away.

"It is in the hope that others  may see the fallacy of this purported way
to holiness that I tell a little  of what I know. Although there are
relatively few tempted to join Mother  Teresa's congregation of sisters,
there are many who generously have  supported her work because they do not
realize how her twisted premises  strangle efforts to alleviate misery.
Unaware that most of the donations sit  unused in her bank accounts, they
too are deceived into thinking they are  helping the poor.

"As a Missionary of Charity, I was assigned to record  donations and write
the thank-you letters. The money arrived at a frantic  rate. The mail
carrier often delivered the letters in sacks. We wrote  receipts for
checks of $50,000 and more on a regular basis. Sometimes a  donor would
call up and ask if we had received his check, expecting us to  remember it
readily because it was so large. How could we say that we could  not
recall it because we had received so many that were even larger?

"When Mother spoke publicly, she never asked for money, but she did
encourage people to make sacrifices for the poor, to "give until it
hurts." Many people did - and they gave it to her. We received touching
letters from people, sometimes apparently poor themselves, who were
making sacrifices to send us a little money for the starving people in
Africa, the flood victims in Bangladesh, or the poor children in India.
<b>Most of the money sat in our bank accounts. </b>

"The flood of donations  was considered to be a sign of God's approval of
Mother Teresa's  congregation. We were told by our superiors that we
received more gifts than  other religious congregations because God was
pleased with Mother, and  because the Missionaries of Charity were the
sisters who were faithful to  the true spirit of religious life.

"Most of the sisters had no idea how  much money the congregation was
amassing. After all, we were taught not to  collect anything. One summer
the sisters living on the outskirts of Rome  were given more crates of
tomatoes than they could distribute. None of their  neighbors wanted them
because the crop had been so prolific that year. The  sisters decided to
can the tomatoes rather than let them spoil, but when  Mother found out
what they had done she was very displeased. Storing things  showed lack of
trust in Divine Providence.

"The donations rolled in  and were deposited in the bank, but they had no
effect on our ascetic lives  and very little effect on the lives of the
poor we were trying to help. We  lived a simple life, bare of all
superfluities. We had three sets of  clothes, which we mended until the
material was too rotten to patch anymore.  We washed our own clothes by
hand. The never-ending piles of sheets and  towels from our night shelter
for the homeless we washed by hand, too. Our  bathing was accomplished
with only one bucket of water. Dental and medical  checkups were seen as
an unnecessary luxury.

"Mother was very  concerned that we preserve our spirit of poverty.
Spending money would  destroy that poverty. She seemed obsessed with using
only the simplest of  means for our work. Was this in the best interests
of the people we were  trying to help, or were we in fact using them as a
tool to advance our own  "sanctity?" In Haiti, to keep the spirit of
poverty, the sisters reused  needles until they became blunt. Seeing the
pain caused by the blunt  needles, some of the volunteers offered to
procure more needles, but the  sisters refused.

"We begged for food and supplies from local merchants  as though we had no
resources. On one of the rare occasions when we ran out  of donated bread,
we went begging at the local store. When our request was  turned down, our
superior decreed that the soup kitchen could do without  bread for the
day.

"It was not only merchants who were offered a  chance to be generous.
Airlines were requested to fly sisters and air cargo  free of charge.
Hospitals and doctors were expected to absorb the costs of  medical
treatment for the sisters or to draw on funds designated for the
religious. Workmen were encouraged to labor without payment or at reduced
rates. We relied heavily on volunteers who worked long hours in our soup
kitchens, shelters, and day camps.

"A hard-working farmer devoted  many of his waking hours to collecting and
delivering food for our soup  kitchens and shelters. "If I didn't come,
what would you eat?" he asked.

"Our Constitution forbade us to beg for more than we needed, but, when  it
came to begging, the millions of dollars accumulating in the bank were
treated as if they did not exist.

"For years I had to write  thousands of letters to donors, telling them
that their entire gift would be  used to bring God's loving compassion to
the poorest of the poor. I was able  to keep my complaining conscience in
check because we had been taught that  the Holy Spirit was guiding Mother.

To doubt her was a sign that we were  lacking in trust and, even worse,
guilty of the sin of pride. <b>I shelved my  objections and hoped that one
day I would understand why Mother wanted to  gather so much money,</b> when
she herself had taught us that even storing  tomato sauce showed lack of
trust in Divine Providence." <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Church to identify Dalits: Bishop </b>
Durgesh Nandan Jha | New Delhi
Diocese of Delhi of the Church of North India has assigned to itself the role of caste certifying authority for Christians.

According to Bishop Karam Masih, his office would issue certificates to Dalit Christians for the purpose of seeking admission to St Stephen's College, or for that matter, any other educational institution under the diocese. The matter of defining Dalit Christians and their entitlement to reservation is, however, still pending in the Supreme Court.

According to the bishop, who is also the chairman of the supreme council and the governing body of St Stephen's College, the certificates would be provided to the Christians depending on their origin and not on their financial status.<b> "Dalits who have converted to Christianity will be called Dalit Christians. Poverty cannot be a criteria for this,"</b> <!--emo&Big Grin--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->  he said, adding that a Hindu-Brahmin, converting to Christianity will not be called Dalit Christian.

<b>Masih said that in States like Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand, there are villages for the Dalit Christians and all the churches can easily identify Dalits among the Christians. "All the churches know who is a Dalit Christian and who is not. We can easily identify them," </b>asserted Masih.

<b>Probe ordered against Pune orphanage</b>

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->NEW DELHI: A day after Denmark announced it had suspended all adoptions from India, the Central Adoption Resources Agency (CARA) on Tuesday ordered an investigation into the Pune-based orphanage, Preet Mandir.

Central Adoption Resources Agency chairperson J K Mittal said, "The matter is being investigated. I have given instructions to collect all paperwork regarding the institution."

Denmark suspended all adoptions from India after a news report claimed that some of the children who have been adopted could have been abducted. Mittal added that the licence for the orphanage had been suspended in the past after CARA received complaints from various quarters.

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Parents agitate against conversion; School apologises
June 16, 2007

Siolim: In the year 2006, St. Francis Xavier’s Higher Secondary School of Arts, Science and Commerce at Siolim, Bardez, Goa had arranged mass prayers, in the name of musical programs, for all the students. Students participated in this program due to pressure from the school authorities. At this program, students were told to raise their hands and chant ‘Alleluia….Alleluia’. During the programs, some students fainted, some of them started puking. After the program, many students complained of uneasiness. Thus, parents got alarmed and came together to question the school authorities. This also created confusion in the minds of parents whether they should allow their wards to continue studying in the school or seek an alternative.

An agitation was staged against the school authorities with the help of Hindu organisations and like-minded individuals. The Hindu Janajagagruti Samiti (HJS ) also participated in this agitation. Due to this agitation, the principal of the school Father A. Paul Sagayam tendered an apology letter to the agitators saying, "We are extremely sorry for hurting your religious sentiments and we promise that we will be more careful in future."

<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin--><b>Catholics up quota ante </b>
Durgesh Nandan Jha | New Delhi
<b>The Catholic Church wants to do better than the Church of North India as far as attracting people to the Christianity is concerned. </b>

While the Church of North India (CNI), the trustees of St Stephen's College, has increased quota for Christian students in the prestigious college, the Delhi Catholic Archdiocese (DCA) has plans to bring a Christian quota in appointments in its institutions. The DCA among others runs the Jesus and Mary College, St Columbus School and Don Bosco School.

According to Reverend Dominic Emmanuel, the spokesperson and Director of the DCA, the Christians are the most educated religious minority and top the list of the unemployed in the country. "The Christians are the most suffering minority in this country. Despite their being educated, fewer job opportunities are available to them. The National Sample Survey Organisation's (NSSO) report called 'employment and unemployment situation among major religious groups in India' published last year proves this point," he said, adding that the minority educational institutions run by the Christian community should reserve seats in teaching for their own people." The institutions should employ more and more candidates from Christian background so that they do not remain unemployed despite being well educated," he said.

When told that institutions like the Jesus and Mary College are governed as per the service rules enunciated in the Ordinances of Delhi University, Reverend Emmanuel said: "We would find means to overcome these obstacles but we are firm in going ahead with the idea of giving employment to Christians in our educational institutions."

He said that some of the Catholic Church maintained institutions run after excellence and forget their basic responsibility and they need to be taught a lesson. "There are some institutions which are confused about the their objective and run after quality and excellence. They need to understand the main motive of a Christian institution," he said.

When asked about the time by which this decision would be implemented, Emmanuel said that they had just come to know about the problem and were in the process of evolving a policy on it.

The Catholic Church runs about 12,000 schools and 600 colleges across the country. The institutions run by the organisation includes big names like Loyola College, Chennai; St Xaviers Colleges in Mumbai and Kolkata, Jesus and Mary College in Delhi.

Emmanuel accused the apathetic nature of other communities including the Hindus as one of the reasons behind the unemployment of Christians. "The employer in industrial sector or for that matter any other sector are mostly Hindus or non-Christians and their apathy can be one of the reasons behind the unemployment of educated Christians," he said while adding that the Christian community is not cared for in this country.

Since St Stephen's is Protestant, Catholics too to start quota in jobs in their institutions
