The coming islamic partition of India and what can be salvaged
Islamic bite makes CPM into Hindutvavadis

Peace’ between CPM, BJP in Kannur worries Muslim League

16/09/2012 13:59:11 VR Jayaraj | Kannur - Daily Pioneer

A perceptible de-escalation in tension between the CPI(M) and BJP-RSS in Kerala’s Kannur district – where hundreds of people had been killed in the past four decades in conflicts between the two sides – is causing worries to the Muslim League, second biggest constituent of the Congress-led ruling UDF.

The latest reason for worry for the Muslim League, which has of late been accused of taking a soft approach towards extremist elements by the Marxists, is the recent visit by Kannur district CPI(M) secretary P Jayarajan to the home of Sachin Gopal (20), an ABVP activist murdered by activists of the Islamist outfit, Popular Front of India (PFI).

The district leadership of the Muslim League feels that the CPI(M) and the BJP of Kannur district have buried their age-old enmity in order to take on that party in the context of the widespread allegation that it has been using its influence over the State Government to make undue gains.

“Has anything so important happened in Kannur district for the CPI(M) and the BJP-RSS to come together?” asked a district council member of the Muslim League. “This newfound love is intended at destroying us. Nobody even in his wildest dreams would ever think that the CPI(M) and RSS in Kannur district can become friends,” he said.

The Muslim League thinks that the change in the thinking in both the CPI(M) and BJP camps with regard to their relations had occurred after the intense standoff between it and the Marxists. Kannur had seen a spurt in clashes between the Muslim League and the CPI(M) recently leading to attacks on offices and homes of activists of both parties.

“Suddenly, there is no enmity between the CPI(M) and the BJP and it is quite surprising to anyone who knows anything about Kannur,” said a district Muslim League leader. “Both parties have till now been calling each other fascists and killers but now both of them are speaking about nothing but Muslims’ extremism,” he said.

“If Jayarajan had visited the ABVP activist’s house out of compassion for the murdered boy’s relatives, that feeling should have been seen in other cases also. Why had CPI(M) leaders not visited the homes of BJP’s Kannur general secretary Pannyannur Chandran and Yuva Morcha leader KT Jayakrishnan when they were killed?” asked the Muslim League leader.

The CPI(M) has adopted a position that there is no need to attach political importance to Jayarajan’s visit to Sachin’s house. “It is quite normal for leaders of political parties to visit houses of activists and leaders of other parties when there is a killing or death. One should not find politics in it,” Jayarajan said.

BJP sources in Kannur said that the change in the approach of the CPI(M) towards the BJP should be welcomed while the general public in Kannur seemed to be welcoming the change in mood in the two camps. “I don’t care about the politics but I would like to see these two parties living in peace,” said Sasidharan, a government employee from Koothuparambu, Kannur.

Sachin Gopal, a member of ABVP’s Kannur town committee, was attacked brutally by a gang of activists of PFI’s students’ wing Campus Front on July 6 at Pallikkunnu in Kannur while he was on a membership campaign. He succumbed to the hack injuries at a hospital in Mangalore on September 5.

The police the other day arrested Lateef (37), said to be the Kannur city president of the Popular Front, who had allegedly played a crucial role in the killing of Sachin Gopal. Investigators are of the feeling that the murder was committed as per a plan of the PFI and its political wing SDPI and they had used the Campus Front just as a cover.

Muslims have rioted before partition and after partition

In the early days after partition, most of it was so called defensive rioting, meaning prevent hindu processions from going in front of mosques

Now, they have moved to offensive rioting, attacking cops, attacking Hindus in their localities. It is a lot like Direct Action day

Singh believes that the post- independence riots were “perhaps due to the Hindus heightened distrust towards Muslims and vice versa” and that “typical Muslims outlook towards nationality, nationalism and a soft corner for the partitioned part that is Pakistan further fuelled it. And he adds “The Muslims who stayed back in India were perhaps hopeful of further partition of India if the situation so demanded”. To buttress this point Singh adds “shortly after partition, the views of one Qamaruddin Khan Spokesperson of Aligarh Muslim University, appears in ‘Light’ of Lahore. He advised the Indian Muslims to lie low for some time owing to tactical reasons and that soon they should stand up for a similar cause, that is to demand partition of Muslim majority areas of India”. Wrote Qamaruddin Khan “the five crore Muslims who were compelled to stay back in India would have to fight for another freedom struggle. The fight would be mainly fought on the eastern end and the western areas bordering Pakistan did not mean that the Indian Muslims would invite Pakistan for help. However, it was certain that Pakistan’s presence in the neighbourhood would embolden the Muslims. The Indian Muslims have won half of the battle and for total victory they will have to scheme out another plan.

“Further Qamaruddin Khan wrote “At the moment, the Muslims should refrain from politically confronting Hindus. After a while the Indian Muslims should try to develop concentrated pockets. The Indian Muslims should maintain close relations with Pakistan and for running organisations; they should take help from them”. Can this possibly be one explanation why there have been too many communal riots in Gujarat, which incidentally is geographically close to Pakistan and our secularists and liberals must study this further.

His knowledge of Islam was so astounding and correct that he surprised the Islamic ulema and maulanas, whom he loved to engage in conversations. He wanted to reach out to Indian Muslims and inspired many such organisations and efforts. Perhaps he was the only Hindu leader of his stature who never forgot to send Eid greetings to his Muslim friends every year. = Late Sudharshan of RSS

If the leader of RSS is behaving like Gandhi, singing Iswar Allah Tere Naam, this organisation cant defend Hindus

UP-BJP - However, wary of being tagged anti-Muslim, a risk, which the party is not willing to take at this moment after being out of power in Centre in general and UP in particular for a long time now, the party leadership doesn't want to completely annoy members of the minority, a party insider said.

But that doesn't mean the party is going all out to project itself as pro-Muslim. A political pundit says they would tread the middle path expecting the minority community to turn at least neutral towards the party if not exactly pro-BJP. For this, the party would continue to hold such conferences and meetings so that party workers can be galvanised to present a neutral picture of the BJP, a senior party leader said.

Even the state BJP chief said while talking to TOI: "I told the party workers they shouldn't worry about Muslim votes and work to ensure that the party does not earn an anti-minority tag."

The only reason to vote for a party is survival of Hindus and that means being anti-minority

JAIPUR: BJP's national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain on Monday claimed that the Congress in the state will have to pay a heavy price for the Gopalgarh violence.

Interacting with media persons at the state headquarters while on a two-day trip to the state, Hussain said that the people had neither forgotten the incidents of Bhagalpur or Meerut. "Nor have they forgotten the Gopalgarh incident here and the Congress should stop politicising the issue. The ruling party will pay a heavy price for the incident,'' said Hussain, replying to the query with regard to Gopalgarh violence, where 10 persons were killed in police firing following a communal clash.

Katihar, 2.4 mil, muslim = 1 mil, 42%

Purnea, 2.5 mil. muslim = 0.94 mil, 37%

Araria, 2.15 mil, muslim = 0.95 mil. 41%

Kishengunj, 1.3 mil, muslim = 0.88 mil, 68%

These 4 districts are in north east bihar and close to BD border and hit by BD infiltration

Amazingly Hindu consolidation has been achieved

BJP wins Katihar, Purnea, Araria, even in 2004

and in Kishengunj, BJP wins 30% of total vote or 90% of Hindu vote

This despite the casteism of biharis

These 4 districts are vulnerable to being lost in the next partition

For these 4 districts, Total = 8.35 mil, Muslim = 3.75 mil, 45% muslim

In 2001, Total Bihar = 83 mil, muslim = 13.7 mil, 16.5%

In these north east bihar, Total = 8.35 mil. muslim = 3.7 mil, 45% muslim

In this pocket, Total = 13 mil, muslim = 2.75 mil, 21%

This will see a lot of jihadist violence, but I believe this is salvageable

Total Bihar = 83 mil, muslim 13.7 mil = 16.5%

North east pocket, Total 8.3 mil, muslim 3.7 mil

Subtract North east pocket, 74.7 mil, 10mil muslim, 13.3%

Nepal border pocket, Total 13 mil, muslim 2.8 mil

Subtract Nepal border pocket, Total = 61.7 mil, muslim 7.2 mil, 11.7%

My summary for bihar, loss of North east pocket, salvageable civil war in Nepal border and massacre of jihadis in rest of bihar

Another angle is that as the fukerjis get ethnic cleansed from west bengal, as they flee to bihar, the north east pocket will get diluted and de-islamised

We are giving a clarion call to members of Hindu Samhati – they must keep a close eye on whether the leadership remains busy with organizing programs or making preparation for newer struggles on the whole. Our programs should not turn into insensible rituals but podium of newer struggles, getting more and more common these days.

December 6th----Open Letter to Ashok SInghal --- by Tapan Kumar Ghosh

An open letter to venerable Ashok Singhalji in commemoration of 6th. December

Tapan Kumar Ghosh

Respected Ashokji,

Sadar Pranam(Obeissances unto you).

At the very outset, let me state it unequivocally that Ram Mandir shall be built. Yes and at the exact place where Lord Ram was born. Lifelong penance of Paramhansa Ramchandra Das can’t go to waste. The supreme sacrifice of Ram Kothari, Sarat Kothari and others can't go in vain. But, construction of Ram Mandir got deferred for a long. An enduring seventeen years have passed after demolition of the notorious Babri structure. Time has elapsed and 6th. Dec., the 'Hindu Shaurya Divas' has again revolved back. Let us review on this very day as to why Ram Mandir could not be constructed so far.

Many would give a very simple answer " owing to treacherous BJP". They went to poll in the name of Ram and jumped up their tally in parliament from 2 to 192 and then simply forgot. The very insidious BJP simply put into oblivion the very issue that brought them to power. However, BJP is only one of the causes but surely not the only cause.

Let us delve into depth the factors those are in favour of and against the construction of Ram Temple.

The favourable factors are:-

1) Fathomless devotion to Shri Ram in the core of the heart of 100 crore Hindus all over the world.

2) Out of the above, 25 crore Hindus cherish a keen desire to construct the Temple at the very site.

3) Irrefutable proof of the Temple being at that very site 481 years back.

Anti national and intellectually bankrupt communists created an unnecessary/futile debate as to the authenticity of the proof of Ram's birth place. Communists are characterised for creating confusion in every aspect of life to satisfy their heinous ends. We do not need to answer them. Historic archaeological and Scientific proofs are there. Mir Bnaki under instruction from Babar destroyed the Temple in 1528 AD --all sorts of proof exist to corroborate that. We adore Ram. So, we shall construct the Ram Temple at any cost at that very place.

Let us now review the factors those act against the construction of the temple.

There are too many antagonistic factors. Always more factors assemble against Dharma and few factors converge in favour of Dharma. Dharma is guided by Truth and protected by Basudev himself. In the battle of Kurukshetra, 11 divisions were fighting for the Kauravas as against 7 divisions of Pandavas..

The factors against Ram Mandir are as under:-

a) Outbreak of an epidemic distorted "Secularism" in the mindset of educated Hindus in India.

<img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> "Resignation to fatalistic passivity"--prevalent amongst common Hindus.

c) Blatant Muslim appeasement by the vote hungry and unscrupulous political parties.

d) Anti Hindu govt administration.

e) Irrational Constitution and laws of our land.

f) High Courts and Supreme Court of India.

g) The Muslim community of India who by thoughts and actions are anti Hindu, who consider

themselves to be off springs of Babar rather than Ram.

h) Islamic Ummah or Pan Islamic Brotherhood.

i) Relentless flow of Petro Dollars.

j) Media and Journalists mostly bought out by Petro Dollars.

k) Agents of Dawood Ibrahim and ISI in Indian administration, Political parties, Bollywood and in our cultural sphere.

It was no easy task to destroy Babri Masjid by defeating the above eleven forces. It is neither easy to construct Ram Temple by defeating these 11 forces. Despite all these obstacles, by virtue of Dharma and Truth, by virtue of sea wave of pent up human emotion, by virtue of Organization, by virtue of Supreme sacrifice of many Karsevaks and penance of Sadhus and last but not the least by virtue of proactive policy and killer instinct of Late Moropant Pingle and Vinay Katiar, Babri Masjid was wiped out from this crust of the earth. But, still the temple could not be built. Why? Is BJP alone responsible for it?

The temple could have been built. But, we made a blunder, a truly Himalayan blunder. 'WE' does not mean the common mass or ordinary Karsevaks. The leadership of the movement made the blunder. The blunder that can never be condoned, never, never. This blunder was not a mere blunder. An undercurrent of 'Greed' was working in the subconscious mind of the leadership of the movement. The leadership won't admit it publicly. But, if they ask their own conscience, they themselves will get the answer. The faultline was straight and simple. The acquired ‘capital’ of Ram Mandir movement was invested for acquiring political power.

Ram Mandir movement was the greatest mass movement ever enacted in Indian history. Gandhi's mass movement had much lower participation, much fewer representations from every strata of society. The huge, unparalleled public support that we got was enough for demolishing that structure of four hundred and fifty years in just four and half hours. This public support ought to have been invested for the construction of Ram Temple.

In lieu of canalizing that unprecedented public support towards construction of Ram Temple, we very wrongly diverted it towards gaining political power. Our acquired ‘capital’ flew into political canal. The logic that was put forward in defence of this line was that after acquiring power, the temple would be built up by enacting new legislation. Actually, in deep sub conscious mind of the leadership fatigue and greed worked on. The same thing happened to Congress leadership in 1947. 'How long should we not be in opposition?' ' How long should we carry out agitation and struggle?' My life is nearing an end. Will we not be able to see that we have acquired power? Not only the BJP leaders, but most of the Sangha Parivar leaders thought in the same line. This thought process, this fatigue, this greed worked in the subconscious mind of most Sangha Parivar leaders. So, they made this historical Blunder. Political power was captured, but Ram Temple remained a distant dream. To compromise with ideology and to politicise this Ram Mandir issue--this was not a sole BJP decision, the whole of Sangha Parivar took the decision. So, BJP alone is not responsible for renouncing ideology.

The leaders forgot that a small movement started in 1984 and the gate of Ram Temple opened in 1986. That the gate was opened as per Court's directive is a lame excuse. Rajiv Gandhi was in power that time with 315 MPs. BJP only 2. Jawaharlal and Indira never enjoyed this level of majority. So, Rajiv Gandhi had no political challenge and imminent danger in front of him. What made him open the Gate of Ram Temple? Then came 9th.Nov, 1989, Karseva and Shilanyas at the designated place besides the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court gave the ruling that the designated spot is within the disputed 3.77 acre of land. Hence any construction or Foundation of stone is not permissible. Rajiv's Home Minister Buta Singh flew from Delhi to Lucknow the previous day. He declared that the designated spot for Foundation of the stone falls outside the disputed land. He made everything clear and Foundation Stone laying ceremony took place on 9th. Nov, 1989 as scheduled. That time Rajiv and Congress was in power. Then came the D-day 6th. Dec, 1992. Still Congress was in power with Nrasimha Rao being the Prime Minister. In front of the media of the whole world Karsevaks reduce the Babri structure to rubbles. Narasimha kept mum. He did not object. Three domes were demolished and a temporary temple with clothes was made. After all these happened,

Narasimha Rao dismissed the Kalyan Singh Govt. in UP at 5 in the afternoon. Clearance of the rubbles of the structure took one more day. Karsevaks took two more days to leave Ayodhya and Faizabad. The Govt. did not arrest a single person out of lakhs of Karsevaks.

So called pro-Hindu BJP was not in power. How were all these possible with Congress, an out and out appeaser for Muslim votes being in power?

There is another glaring example from History. BJP was not even born then. It was Jnasangha. RSS drew up a plan of constructing a grand temple on the famous Vivekananda Rock in Kanyakumari. Guruji Golwalkar entrusted Eknath Ranade with that responsibility. Humayun Kabir was the education minister in Indira Gandhi's cabinet then. This Kabir and the Christian fishermen of Kanyakumari were hindering and actively obstructing the movement. Ranade took the signature of 300 MPs belonging to Congress, Socialists, Communists, Janasangha, etc.

The memorandum was submitted to President of India. The ministry approved the same. The temple got accomplished and formally inaugurated.

All these incidents clearly point out that Political leaders of all hue and cry understand the pulse of the people. Whether RSS has political power or not that does not matter. There was a great potentiality in the Ram Mandir movement and it was not an ordinary bomb but an atomic bomb which could unleash an earthquake beneath the chairs of Power and Pelf---this very truth was known to Rajiv, Narasimha and Congress. That is what made them comply with everything and bow down before the people’s sentiment. Their field is not people's power, their specialization is not on religious sentiment. Their only expertise is politics and they can play in political field only. As long as we were in our fields, we were in advantageous position. The moment we left our field and entered to play in their fields, we lost the advantage. The outcome,192 to 125. If we tread the same path, we shall reduce to cipher.

Then what ought to have been done? We have won three battles without being in political power. We should not have left our forte, our own, our very known field. In a nutshell, not " First Power and then Temple" but " First temple and then power." We had to wait till we can win absolute majority on our own. Till that time we had to stick to temple issue and never to haste for power. But that would submerge few people into quagmire of unhappiness. Their time would run out. They would never be PM. They had to enjoy fruits of Power. So, Samata, Mamata, Lalita---a heterogeneous mixture came into being. Even the son of the very murderer Seikh Abdullah who annihilated founder of Jnasangha---Shyamaprasad Mukherjee, also got inducted into the new formation. Everybody knew that with them scrapping of article 370, enactment of Uniform Civil Code, construction of Ram temple is next to impossible. So blaming BJP alone is a cry in wilderness. Who took the decision that day to form a government with 23 political parties who have got no ideological foundation or intonation and who had nothing in common except lust for power? Those decision makers have to take the blame. So, not only BJP leadership, Shri Ashok Singhal and RSS central leaders are also to be equally blamed who took this absolutely wrong decision. Whenever they put the red light on their cars they have shown the red light to Ram as Ram belongs to common man.

The Ram of that age killed Bali but did not ascend throne. He skillfully utilized the regiment of Kishkindhya to rescue Sita. The by product was the annihilation of Ravan. That was the real aim, the annihilation; rescue of Sita was the means. Today's Ram ( Hindu collective leadership) killed Bali ( demolition of Babri Masjid) and ascended the throne of Kiskindhya. So, Sita could not be rescued (Construction of Temple). Ascending the throne not only implies Vajpayee becoming the Prime Minister or Advani becoming the Home Minister, but it also implies Uma Bharati, Swami Chinmayananda becoming ministers, B.P.Singhal (Ashok Singhal's brother), Srishachandra Dixit and Kameswar Chaupal (the ‘dalit’ caste RSS Pracharak who laid the foundation stone on 9th Nov) becoming MPs, Red Light on Ashok Singhal’s car and aquisition of Gas agencies and Petrol pumps and a lot more. All these imply coronation of modern Kishkindhya. So, it is crystal clear that they do not symbolize Ram of modern age. So, Sita can't be resued by them and analogically the Ram temple can't be built. Rescue of Sita is just symbolic as is the construction of the Temple. The real aim was to annihilate Ravan, kill the clan of Rakshas so that the common man felt safe and comfortable. That aim was achieved in different phases in the rescue operation of Sita. Today also, in the process of construction of the Temple we must annihilate Ravan with all kith and kin, i.e., to eliminate all external enemies and internal foes of Bharatmata.

Outside our home we see the horror of Islamic expansionism and hear the sound of blast of Jehadi terror, and inside our home we hear the cry of molested Hindu womenfolk in Kashmir, Bengal and Assam. The soul of Mother India is molested by ISI agents, ‘Khan’ senas of Bolywood funded and pampered by petro dollars, Communists, Secular hypocrites, Media, agents of USA, China, Pope etc.; innumerable inimical elements. This huge Rakshas Vahini needs elimination. Then only the true temple of Ram can be built up. This Ram temple is not of bricks and stones but symbolic, tuned to our heart, our dreams and promise of a safe, happy, trouble free, prosperous Motherland. This will the Temple of our Nationhood or Rashtramandir. To achieve this lofty goal, Ayodhya is not suffice. For that, we need to liberate Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi--all three. And in the process of this liberation, all of our ‘Rashtrashatrus’ will be eliminated. This is the true course of action. Ramayan has taught us that only. If we are Rambhakta or Rashtrabhakta, we must not rest before that. We must not enjoy the fruits of power before that. Rambhaktas of Tretayug are Rashtrabhaktas of this age. So, we must complete the unfinished work of Khudiram, Netaji Bose and Chandrasekhar Azad. This will be done in the process of constructing the Grand Temples of Ayodhya , Mathura and Kashi. The war cry again will be ‘bachha bachha Ram ka, Janambhoomi ke kaam ka’ and ‘ teen nahi to tees hazar, nahi bachega ek mazaar’ and ‘Bharat mei yadi rahana hoga, Jai Shri Ram kahana hoga’

So, my dear Hindu Brethren, Come on my dear. Let us form a Regiment of Kishkindhya. Let us be ready. Let us wait. Let us pray for Ram to come. That means a leadership that is capable, energetic, courageous, devoid of greed, does not compromise on ideology and deviate from Dharma. Lord Ram must send it. Ashokji (Singhal)--Farewell to you. I know that out of the whole of Sangha Parivar today the person who longs Ram Mandir the most is you. But, you can't visualize that in this birth. When the purest soul Paramhansa Ramchandra Das could not see it, you also can't. But, we Hindus believe in reincarnation. So, in the next birth you would definitely see it. I assure you of this on behalf of the present day Regiment of Kishkindhya.

With regards,

yours sincerely,

Cow slaughter , legal and illegal must be resisted

It is not a matter of dalit diet

In India, most muslims have not read the koran

The only thing they know about islam is this - Islam stands for humiliating the kafir

The way to humiliate the kafir is to kill cows, destroy temples and rape hindu girls

Killing cows without repurcussions emboldens muslims- first they kill cows, next they kill kafirs

Preventing cow slaughter is therefore a defeat for islam

And in every locale feasible, it must be prevented

Cow killing like refusal to sing Vande mataram is like desecrating the Indian flag

When Hindus tolerate cow killing, muslims get emboldened and try for the next step which is abducting Hindu girls and temple desecration

West Bengal and Kerala allow cow slaughter and in both states Hindu women are kidnapped or love-jihaded

In both these states Hindu temples are routinely desecrated

Is Islamic India only future?

Jihad has come to India and, yet, the Obama administration along with State Department will tell you that it is nothing more than “isolated acts by individuals”. The government New Delhi is willing to go on record to suggest that will say you are “stirring up anti-Muslim sentiment.” The mainstream media will question as to how you can say that when we are hearing nothing about it from them. But it is real, and it is happening now. How do I know?! Well, that’s because I have seen it all through my very own eyes. The Obama administration’s studied denial will find us caught as flat-footed in India as we were in Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, and elsewhere. The only difference being: India is an economic and military giant, with nuclear weapons, and could be a cornerstone of any effective fight against radical Islam.

For several years now I have been fiercely vocal about the progressive radicalization of Bangladesh along with its nationals. Although it is the only country that ranks among the ten most populous and the ten most densely populated, as well as being the second largest Muslim-majority nation, events there do not capture people’s imagination. When you talk about India in the same context, however, people take notice. The thought of an Islamist dominated India scares the heck out of them and should. While our own strategic thinkers concentrate on internecine struggles in the Middle East, their obliviousness to the significance of an [Islamist India] has enabled our enemies to further their agenda.

I have spent many years journey along India’s 2545 mile-long border with Bangladesh, besides witnessing the impact Bangladesh’s radicalization has had on its giant neighbor to the west. Amitabh Tripathi, who has been fighting against what he calls his country’s “soft policies,” noted that Bangladesh’s Muslims “are not radicalized but their institutions are.” That radicalization and a level of corruption on both sides of the border that makes my fellow Chicagoans look like amateurs has already produced demographic change in many strategic areas of India.

It also has given Muslim activists carte blanche throughout the entire country. The process is deliberate, has been going on for decades, and should send us a terrible warning signal, not only because of what it bodes for India, but also because of what sort of future the Obama administration’s soft policies and tolerance for an open border to our south mean for the United States.

Each year in districts like Uttar Dinajpur and North and South 24 Parganas directly across from the Islamic state, my colleagues and I find that more and more villages which once had mixed Hindu-Muslim populations are now all Muslim or Muslim-dominated. Each state, my colleagues and I find that more and more villages which once had mixed Hindu-Muslim populations are now all Muslim or Muslim-dominated. Gone are the roadside temples characteristic of places where Hindus practice their faith openly; gone are the sights of Hindu women dressed in their colorful saris and other vestments. They have been replaced by mosques and burqas. Last year, Tripathi and I met with Bimal Praminik, Director of the Kolkata-based Centre for Research in Indo-Bangladesh Relations and arguably the foremost authority on these population changes. He is convinced that this population shift is a deliberate and an integral element the jihad that threatens all of us: “Bangladeshi infiltration with Pakistani ideas… trying to ‘Pakistanize’ the entire region,” he said adding that that the dominant culture for South Asian Muslims has become more “Arabic,” than South Asian.

In 1947 when the British left, they partitioned the Indian subcontinent into Hindu and Muslim states. West Bengal went to “Hindu” India, and East Bengal (now Bangladesh) became part of Muslim Pakistan. While Hindu and Muslim majorities respectively, remains, exhaustive studies by Pramanik and others hold out little hope that things will continue that way.

During the second half of the 20th century, the Muslim proportion of West Bengal’s population rose by 25 percent and its Hindu population declined by nine, a process that has continued into the 21st. At the same time, Bangladesh’s Hindu population dropped from almost a third to nine percent. The process has not been pretty and has involved murder, gang rape, abduction of women and children, forced conversion to Islam, and legalized thievery of ancestral Hindu lands under Bangladesh’s anti-Hindu Vested Property Act. And now it is happening in India.

Between 1981 and 1991, Muslim population growth in West Bengal actually exceeded its growth in Bangladesh. The South Asia Research Society concluded that Hindus have been fleeing Islamist persecution in East Bengal since the partition; but that since Bangladesh’s emergence as an independent nation in 1971, “there has been large scale voluntary infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims…to West Bengal and other parts of India” as well. The actual Muslim population growth exceeded Indian government projections that were based on demographic factors (fertility and mortality), internal migration, and the influx of Hindu refugees; thus, there had to be another element driving the change. Pramanik identifies it as “illegal immigration from across the border.” Islamist plans have been so detailed and longstanding that since 1951 the Muslim growth rate exceeded that of Hindus in each individual district of West Bengal.

One elderly woman in the Howrah district told us how Muslims are taking over her property piece by piece. She even showed us a wall with a star and crescent on it that local Muslims built to identify it as dar al Islam. In another village, residents showed us the remains of a Hindu temple that Muslims recently destroyed after urinating on its holy objects. Most poignant was the testimony of a crestfallen mother whose 22-year-old daughter was abducted weeks ago by local Muslims. Abduction of Hindu women and girls in the name of Islam has been common in Bangladesh for years and is a key element in jihad: eliminating females of childbearing years from the gene pool and forcing them to “produce” Muslim offspring instead.

Statistics might be the “smoking gun,” but jihad’s impact is far more powerful in the testimony of individual non-Muslim residents who are its victims. Residents of Deganga, only 40 kilometers from the West Bengal capital of Kolkata, lived through an anti-Hindu pogrom last September. The pogrom started — as these things are wont to do these days — with a fabricated land dispute in which Muslims claimed a wooded area off the region’s main road that Hindus own and on which sits a Hindu shrine that is considered very sacred. As the 2010 Islamic observance of Iftar came to an end, a large group of Muslims attempted to seize the land until local Hindus stopped them. It was then that they started attacking Hindu households and shops indiscriminately, forcing many to flee the area with little more than the clothes on their backs.

I returned to Deganga last month to find that while many homes and shops have been rebuilt, a sense of security by Hindus in their ancestral land has not. Most of the residents spoke about leaving the area; others talked about being fearful of attack, their children unable to attend school, and Hindu women being harassed whenever they go to the market or other places in the area. Many of them showed us charred pieces of their former residences; in other cases we were able to see signs of it bleeding through a new coat of paint. Hindu women and girls showed us where they hid during the attack to avoid being raped or abducted and made concubines; a fate that likely has befallen the missing 22-year old daughter of the mother above.

In every single one of these cases, local authorities have refused to take action. In fact, during the Deganga pogrom, they arrested the community’s wealthiest Hindu on the false charge of firing on the jihadis. In the past, this official inaction has been purchased; but it is also a product of the alliance between Islamists and Communists in India. That alliance was announced publicly at a meeting in the south Indian state of Kerala; and it has been policy for West Bengal’s three-decade old communist government. Wherever we spoke with these villagers, Muslim neighbors would gather menacingly in an attempt to intimidate our informants. In some cases, they attacked after we left — again with no action by the authorities.

In Meerut northeast of New Delhi and far from Deganga, the population of this once Hindu-dominated town is now split down the middle between Hindus and Muslims; and the Hindus are living in fear. Just five days ago before my arrival, a Hindu was burned to death and shortly before that a community leader was targeted and killed. These actions are becoming more common in this substantial-sized town with no police re-action; and according to residents and activists, it is only a matter of time before things explode.

Our State Department will STILL like you to believe that there is no jihad in India. They will hew the official line that the liberal Awami League government in Bangladesh has put an end to anti-Hindu actions there. A similarly weak government in New Delhi will parrot the same platitudes. Yet, their false palliatives bring no comfort to the scores of victims who have told us their stories; or the many others now unable to do so.

They cannot explain away major terrorist attacks in India’s largest cities like Mumbai, Pune, in New Delhi, and elsewhere. They cannot explain how insurgents can regularly kidnap minor officials and receive their ransom (usually release of prisoners, cash, and government forbearance from counter terrorist action) every time they do. If the Obama administration and its left-wing counterparts in India do not replace their studied ignorance with effective action, we will be as “surprised” over what becomes of India as we were with Iran, Egypt, and a host of other nations. Imagine what an Islamist India would mean for us.

The recent riots in Masuri Village of Ghaziabad is not a stray incident; the area has earned notoriety for being a ‘haven’ for radical elements and terrorists. It was in Masuri when in a chance encounter in 1994, the local police had arrested British-born Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a London School of Economics student and son of a Pakistani clothes merchant.

A close associate of Maulana Azhar Masood, founder of the banned outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), he was accused of kidnapping three British tourists — Myles Croston, Paul Rideout and Rhys Partridge and a US national Béla Nuss. The three Britons were taken to Saharanpur and kept captive by his associates while Béla Nuss was the last to be kidnapped and kept hostage in Masuri.

In fact, this belt came into notice after locals forcibly freed Abdul Karim Tunda from Delhi Police that had raided his place in Pilakhuwa after a specific intelligence input in 1998. A hapless Delhi Police watched in dismay as local police ran for cover. Tunda was to be named in serial blasts that had rocked Delhi in 1997. He along with Dr Jalis Ansari of Ahl-e-Hadis (a militant outfit) was involved in planning and execution of over three dozen terrorist strikes in the national Capital. Tunda was said to be housed by Lashkar handlers in their training camp at Murdike in Pakistan.
