But one expert and the DGP basith said that the timer device was sophisticated and Basith went so far as to say, these kind of sophisticated devices are not to be found in hyderabad.Â
These are the facts.
Let us be clear about the device - these devices in mosques are IEDs whereas those used in godhra and mumbai were TIDs.
Setting off IEDs in mosques has now effectively given muslim column writers in our secular newspapers and news channels the opening to say that muslims, like pakistan, are also now victims of terrorism.
this serves two purposes - now that muslims are also victims hindus shld not avenge attacks against them like they did in Gujarat following godhra. we are the same onleeee now, you see.
and this takes away even the little attention some of us had on the ethnically cleansed hindus of J&K. some of our experts have been saying that the muslims of J&K have been as much victims of terrorism like the Hindus. Really?????

The Shahi Imam wanted to meet the Prime Minister in connection with Fridayâs bomb Blast in Makka Masjid, Hyderabad. The imam was detained for around an hour and was questioned by senior police officials.
Bukhabri was picked up by police along with around 2 dozen supporters at 4 pm and was taken to the office of the assistant commissioner of police of Daryaganj area in central Delhi. They were let off after senior police officials questioned them for at least an hour. "We detained 19 people, including Bhukhari, near the Jama Masjid after they started their protest march to the Prime Minister's residence. They were questioned for an hour," a senior official said.

Leaders of the Muslim diaspora living in the United states have condemned the bomb blast at the historic Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad India as a heinous and cowardly crime. The terrorist explosion killed many worshippers engaged in the Friday prayers.
Friday is the Muslim sabbath and the historic mosque was full of worshippers. Many of the victims are children. Many more people were killed when the police fired on the worshipers who rushed out of the mosque in panic and anger.
The leaders urged a high-level investigation to bring the perpetrators of the bomb blast to justice. They demanded that the investigation also look into the police firing on the panicked and angry Muslim worshippers as well as into the unusual absence of the police force at the Mosque before the Friday prayers. Those law-enforcement officials who are responsible for first withdrawing the police security force from the mosque before the explosion and later for ordering the police to fire upon unarmed worshipers must be investigated for their possible connection with those responsible for putting the bombs in the Mosque and then duly punished.
I<b>t is a known fact that the police is heavily infiltrated by the Hindutva-fascist sympathizers. The government must give all minorities proportional representation in the police force to ensure police neutrality and integrity, the leaders demanded.</b> However, special task forces, posted in the sensitive areas and sent to areas where communal disturbances may be in the process of taking place, should have equal representation from a number of religions and castes. <b>Persecuted minorities may not be safe in the hands of police with a proportionately small minority representation in the police. Their (the persecuted minorityâs) representation should be no less than the dominant communityâs representation that may be perceived as the oppressor community</b>. In all other positions of power the representation of various segments should be in proportion to their population, however, representation in the special police task force needs to be carefully weighed from all angles, and proportion of the oppressed communities should be increased. The presence of other neutral groups that may not be party to the on going conflict between the dominant and an oppressed group would ensure impartiality of the police force. Police is supposed to be protector of weaker sections. The dominant sections are by and large safe from the attacks of the weaker minorities. So the dominant section does not need as much protection. The police force needs to put together keeping these considerations in mind.
The diaspora leaders congratulated all Indians, especially the Muslim community for showing tremendous restraint.
<b>They condemned the self-declared experts of the Hindutva camp who rushed to declare that the explosions were either planned by Pakistan or by Muslim extremist groups.</b> "The rush to exonerate Hindu extremist groups such as Bajrang Dal who were implicated in similar terrorist attacks on mosques in the recent past with an intention to fan communal hatred is deplorable," the statement read. The leadership expressed disappointment that some in the media have bought into the Hindutva propaganda that Muslims themselves have staged the attack, and are turning a blind eye to the home-grown terrorism of Hindutva groups.
<b>These leaders have asked the Treasury department and the law-enforcement agencies to look into the fund-raising and other nefarious activities of the Hindutva fronts in the US.</b>
The statement also reminded that in the aftermath of Babri Masjid demolition more than 2000 Muslims were massacred in Bombay and other cities of India in 1992 by the Hindutva mobs. Ten years later more than 2000 Muslims were massacred in a well-planned pogrom with the help of the State machinery in the Hindutva-ruled state of Gujarat. The massacres, rapes and ethnic cleansing were documented by Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International along with other human rights groups.

Every time Indian Govt blames Pakis or Bangladeshi Muslims, it clearly shows Indian Govt doesnât have will to fight in born Muslim Jihadism in India. Itâs very easy to blame outsider.

<span style='color:red'>Sohaib Jagirdar was arrested </span>yesterday from his residence at Jalna in Maharashtra for trying to procure a passport in a fictitious name for "jehadi purpose", the source in SIC, probing the May 18 bomb blast, said today.
During the course of investigation it was revealed that Jagirdar was a close associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) cadre<span style='color:red'> Nayeem alias Sameer</span>, the source said.
Sameer, an accused in the 2006 Aurangabad (Maharashtra) arms-haul case, was arrested early this year by the BSF in West Bengal, while allegedly helping two Pakistani mercenaries cross over into India through the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Sameer's custody was taken by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai police on April 24 from BSF.

<b>Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Wednesday directed the Hyderabad city Police not to book any cases against those injured in the police firing on May 18 soon after the blast in Mecca Masjid.</b>
The move came after <b>the police booked serious cases, including that of attempt to murder, against the nine youth injured in the police firing.</b> They included even 16-year-old boys. The move sparked off a fresh round of anger and consternation in the minority community and it was <b>one of the important subjects of discussion on Wednesday when a delegation of United Muslim Action Committee met the Chief Minister at his office.</b>
It also demanded that all harassment of the minority community by the police should be stopped immediately and the Chief Minister assured that he would issue the necessary orders to the Director General of Police and the city Police Commissioner.
The delegation, led by renowned religious scholar Moulana Hameeduddin Aauqil Hussami and comprising representatives of seven different organisations, also demanded a judicial inquiry into the police firing by a sitting High Court Judge which should be time bound.
<b>Briefing the media after the meeting, Member of Parliament from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi said that the delegation submitted a list of four High Court judges names and requested the Chief Minister to see that one of them head the commission.</b>
<b>The terms of reference of the commission should include the circumstances in which fire was opened by the police, whether it was preceded by lathicharge, tear gas shells, water cannon etc, what kind of weapon and bullets were used, who ordered the firing and why the police fired above the waste causing deaths and debilitating injuries, the delegation said in the representation.</b>

Something very odd about the Mecca Masjid blast is the lack of progress in getting the real perpetrators arrested. And the CBI refrence. Its like the CM doesnt trust the local police or doesnt want to know who did it. Now judicial inquiry by AP HC judge proposed by the delegation.
So Sajid Mian from Kolkota, one suspect from Jamshedpur, Sohaib Jagirdar from Jalna, and Nayeem/Sameer from West Bengal are the arrested folks.
Looks like, they are trying to suppress local police and blaming them for others behavior. It is very odd. Even those are arrested; there was no proof that they were actually involved.
Why CBI inquiry? Why CID is not taking lead? If they suspect foreign country involvement why not use IB or RAW?
CM behavior and decisions are very odd. Somehow it gives an impression that he did it and now asking for apology and trying to cover up with all weird logic.
