It was not till the end of 1255 that the new Muslim Governor of Bengal, Yuzbak, succeeded in re-establishing Muslim authority over Radha. Although Narasimha could not maintain his hold in Bengal against the rising tide of Islam, his initial success and heroic resistance against Muslim forces entitles him to an undying fame among the posterity. He was the builder of the famous Sun Temple of Konark.
