<b>. A brief synopsis of the event</b>
The terrorists, believed to be three in number, stormed the famous Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar, capital of Gujarat. It was the evening prayer [aarti] time, and as devotees thronged the magnificent Swaminarain temple. Terrorist first threw grenades in the complex and then started firing indiscriminately. The siege of temple complex ended after a commando operation.
<b>. The number dead</b>
32 Dead, including 16 Women and four children.
One National Commando and 2 state Commando also died.

100 plus injured
<b>. The group which claimed responsibility, or which the security apparatus claimed was responsible</b>
Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Tayiba
Islamic terrorist from Pakistan, plan was hatched in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
