<b>Geelani had called for a bandh in Jammu and Kashmir today in protest against the Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Palestine</b>.
Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were deployed outside Geelani's residence at Hyderpora since 0500 hours and asked him not to venture out, the sources said.
Meanwhile, life in Srinagar and other towns of the valley was disrupted in response to the bandh call.
