Pat Robertson predicts mass killing by terrorists in 2007
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says God has told him there will be horrific terrorist attacks targeting US cities in the second half of this year.

On Tuesday's broadcast of "The 700 Club," Robertson forecast attacks producing mass chaos and possibly killing millions of people. According to Robertson, "The Lord didn't say `nuclear,' but I do believe it will be something like that."

Robertson said the terrorists will ultimately be restrained by God, but probably not at first. Robertson said God also told him that U.S. policies are pushing Israel toward "national suicide," and that the policies of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (EH'-hood OHL'-murt) are "toxic" for Israel.

Bodhi read this:
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->PM is Indian Politician of the Year

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is the winner of CNN-IBN's Indian of the Year award in the field of Politics.

Singh won hands down for finally stepping out of Sonia Gandhi's shadow and making the nuclear deal possible.

The speech - “I know there are risks involved but I'm ready to take those risks for India” - transformed the unassuming Economist Prime Minister into Brand Manmohan speaking out brave and strong.

He single-handedly led the diplomatic offensive for the Indo-US nuclear deal and changed the dynamics of the Indo-US relationship forever.

That is the story of Singh’s life as the Prime Minister and though you don't see him around too often, you can be sure that he’s somewhere in the background - quietly working on convincing the Left to agree to more FDI or ensuring that the Right To Information Act has more teeth.

And so, for this man, whose life began beyond the Pakistan border in Jhelum, 2004 was the beginning of a new chapter in his life, 2005 was when he mastered the art and science of Politics and 2006 the year when he really came into his own and delivered.

Under his leadership, the economy is booming, and the development index has skyrocketed.

Any doubts on whether he's politically savvy enough were laid to rest in 2006. He has held the coalition together, walked the tightrope despite difficult partners and has achieved a remarkable working relationship with Sonia Gandhi.

Singh is the most educated Prime Minister of independent India, yet he's the least pompous.

Oxbridge-educated yet the Punjabi accent remains. His apparent weakness is his strength and he may never have won a popular election but has won the respect of his countrymen.

For that and much more, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is CNN-IBN'S Indian Politician of the Year.

I suspected that they were scamming as soon as they turned off the % display, Modi at that time had 65% and MMS a pathetic 10% and voila MMS suddenly races ahead of Modi using his superpowers and emerges as the winner!!

Can anyone post the scanned image of % from here:

Bharatvarsh, I am not surprised. Integrity of Indian jornalism working at its best of course!

What I am surprised about though is that common people still have some respect and trust for what these liars are dishing out?

I think way to manage these hoaxes is to disunite the TV channels and promote intense and bitter competion. Provide rival channels with news bites against each other. This scam of CNN-IBN should be picked up and tarnished by rival TV Channels. And they will, given the leads, who doesn't want a good TRP?

"Gore rules him self out of race" Sunrise News - Sun Feb 18 9:21 AM EST
Initially starts off as merely a lighthearted bit of news, with comment on Gore's appearance and stuff.

Then you see an Australian news presenter saying that this year there's a woman (Hillary) and an African-American (Obama) standing for president.
About these two, she says what everyone knows - but the Americans pretend they don't (around 1 min mark of this ~2 min video):
<!--QuoteBegin-->QUOTE<!--QuoteEBegin-->"<b>Thankfully we've got a woman up there in Hillary. And we got Obama, so we got a black man. Neither of them have got a chance in hell of getting in.</b> I think that Obama's got a greater chance than Hillary Clinton. The day we see a woman in the white house is going to be an amazing day."<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->And there's the reality of America. As hinted at in Australian news. And as everyone in the world knows (everyone except maybe christo converts in India).
In theory Obama may or may not have a greater chance than Hillary, but even if he ever made it in there, he'll be assassinated (several US christoracist groups in documentaries on American Right wingers have stated clearly they won't ever let an African-American become president of the US and will not allow it come what may).

Yet an alien, anti-Hindu christoterrorist leader has stolen power in India. She could not be PM of India, but she's been snuck in (either she snuck herself in or someone put her there) as head of Congress anyway. All the rules have been bent for a foreign tyrant who hates and is determined to destroy the indigenous Hindu culture.
Meanwhile, nationalist African-Americans and women of the US, even though they might follow the majority religion of the US, will never be allowed in power in their country.

Ralph Fiennes was recently on the news for being in India on some humanitarian (UN?) mission and going through a village of people with AIDS, trying to bring them and their plight to the attention of the rest of the world.

<b>Qantas sacks hostie after sex with actor</b>
Ralph Fiennes won't be seeing Lisa Robertson on Qantas again.

The flight attendant was sacked after admitting to a mile-high sex romp with the British actor in a toilet on flight QF123 last month.

Ms Robertson told a British newspaper over the weekend she also had sex with Fiennes in his hotel room in India, after which he told her:"I'll have to kick you out now."

According to her interview, he then said: "See you on the next Qantas flight."

But Qantas ensured the former policewoman won't be serving its passengers again.

"Qantas Airways announced today that flight attendant Ms Lisa Robertson's employment contract to operate on Qantas aircraft had been terminated," the airline said in a one-line statement.

Ms Robertson, 38, was suspended from duty after she initially denied allegations she had sex with Fiennes, claiming he followed her into the toilet and "became amorous".

However, in her interview with British newspaper The Mail on Sunday, she admitted to having unprotected sex with Fiennes on board the Darwin to Mumbai flight on January 24.

"At first I denied it because I was desperate to keep my job and I didn't want to hurt Ralph," Ms Robertson said.

"I know some people will think it's disgusting and I'm not proud of what I did - it was inappropriate behaviour - but I don't regret it."

But she said the encounter was worth losing her job over.

"Ralph was a great lover and I thought if I was going to get the sack, it would be worth it," she told the paper.

"I knew it was against the rules and wrong but I didn't care."

Ms Robertson's parents closed ranks around her today, refusing to speak to the media.

After telling News Ltd newspapers last week the attendants who reported his daughter's liaison were "probably ugly as a hatful of arseholes and were just jealous", her father Graham Robertson was tightlipped today.

"Yes, I'm her father, that's all I'm going to say," Mr Robertson said before hanging up the phone in the family's home at Culcairn in southern NSW.

Fiennes' media manager Sara Keene told News Ltd papers that the actor had been seduced by Ms Robertson.

"She was the sexual aggressor," Ms Keene said.

Ms Robertson told The Mail on Sunday she had been starstruck when she recognised Fiennes.

The 175cm blonde stewardess, who quit the NSW police force after 14 years because of post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, said she and Fiennes flirted and the actor suggested he join her for a chat when she took her break.

It was then, in the curtained-off crew area, they began kissing and undressing.

Scared they would be caught, Robertson led Fiennes to the lavatory.

<b>"I was a bit shocked that he didn't wear a condom," she said.

"Looking back, I think of it as dangerous and hypocritical given that he was going to India to talk about AIDS."</b> <!--emo&:o--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ohmy.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Ms Robertson, who went bankrupt after she sued police over an alleged lack of care regarding her mental health, said she didn't know what she would do next, but was confident she would "bounce back".<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

<b>Prince Charles says ban McDonald's food</b> <!--emo&:thumbsup--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbup.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='thumbup.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Prince Charles suggested Tuesday on a visit to the United Arab Emirates that banning McDonald's fast food was crucial for improving people's diets, a British news agency reported.

Charles made the comments while visiting the Imperial College London Diabetes Center in Abu Dhabi for the launch of a public health campaign, The Press Association reported.

"Have you got anywhere with McDonald's? Have you tried getting it banned? That's the key," Charles was quoted as asking one of the center's nutritionists.

A McDonald's spokesman, Nick Hindle, called the remark disappointing. He said other members of the royal family "have probably got a more up-to-date picture of us," alluding to reports that Charles' son, Prince Harry, was spotted eating a chicken burger at McDonald's in 2005.

"This appears to be an off-the-cuff remark, in our opinion," Hindle said. "It does not reflect our menu or where we are as a business."

The Oak Brook, Illinois-based McDonald's Corp. took steps last year to display nutrition facts on its packaging and vary its menu to counter charges that its food is unhealthy and contributes to obesity. There are 25 McDonald's franchises in the United Arab Emirates.

Charles, who is first in line to the British throne, is an active advocate of organic food and in 1986 set up a farm on his Highgrove Estate that does not use artificial pesticides or fertilizers.

The prince was in the United Arab Emirates with his wife, Camilla, as part of a tour of Gulf countries.

The United Arab Emirates has the world's second highest number of diabetes cases per capita, with more than 20 percent of those aged 20 to 79 already diagnosed with the illness, while 40 percent of the population are at risk.  <!--emo&:o--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ohmy.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->Should have been banned a long time ago.
