<b>B'desh may be emerging terrorist haven, Canadian spies warn </b>

Bangladesh may be emerging as a haven for Islamic terrorists in South Asia, says an intelligence report by Canada's spy agency.

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service expressed concern about serious attacks by radicals on cultural groups in Bangladesh, hints of collusion with Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaida and the government's alleged unwillingness to crack down on terrorism.

The CSIS report also suggests there could be dangers to Canadian aid agencies with a "strong presence" in Bangladesh, the third-largest Muslim country in the world.

The Canadian Press news agency obtained a declassified copy of the secret July report under the Access to Information Act. Considerable portions of the highly sensitive document were withheld from release.

A CSIS spokeswoman declined to elaborate on the findings.

After reading the report, Bangladesh's high commissioner in Ottawa steadfastly denied his country had become a terrorist sanctuary.

"We condemn terrorism in any country, in any form, in any place," Mohsin Ali Khan said yesterday. "Bangladesh is against any terrorist attack and it will not allow its soil to be used by any terrorist group."

Bhutan has set an example for Dhaka: Govt

NEW DELHI : A meeting of the Union cabinet's Committee on Security, held here on Friday evening, was understood to have discussed the ongoing operations against the anti-India insurgents hiding in Bhutan .

India has so far received no request for troops from Bhutan to help the Himalayan kingdom in its military operations to flush out insurgents of ULFA and other groups based in that country, external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha said after the meeting.

"No request has been made and I do not think that the situation has arisen so far," Sinha told reporters after a two-hour meeting.

<b>Chaired by Prime Minister Vajpayee, the meeting appreciated the role being played by the Royal Bhutanese Army (RBA), especially the fact that the King of Bhutan was personally leading the operations, sources said after the meeting</b>.

<b>The operation has been launched by the RBA with only logistic support from the Indian Army that has blocked the escape routes for the militants</b>.

The operation has been launched after much planning and preparations. India <b>views this as an example for other neighbours, particularly Bangladesh , where, too 110 camps of militants from the India 's north-east have been operating</b>, sources said.

Constantly in the denial mode, Bangladesh has not been forthcoming in its cooperation and this has affected the overall bilateral ties.

Sources said that the Bangladesh media has even blacked out the developments taking place in Bhutan because of the negative security and diplomatic implications.

Now in its fifth day, the operations have been termed "a resounding success" by Army chief Gen N C Vij.

Gen Vij was at hand to brief the CCS that was attended, among others, by Deputy PM L K Advani, defence minister George Fernandes, external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha, finance minister Jaswant Singh and National Security Adviser Brajesh Mishra.

<b>No terror camps here: claims Dhaka </b>

Dhaka, Dec 22. (UNI): Bangladesh has once again dismissed New Delhi's claim of the presence of terrorist camps on its soil, but added that it would effectively deal with any terrorist elements attempting to engage in anti-India activities.

The latest denial came in the wake of anti-insurgency operation being undertaken by the Royal Bhutan Army to dislodge insurgents on its territory and to destroy their camps.

"<b>There is no room for any kind of terrorist or insurgent activities in our soil...from the day-one, we have never allowed any terrorist as we can ill-afford this," <!--emo&Rolleyes--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' /><!--endemo--> Foreign Minister Morshed Khan told reporters here on Sunday. </b>

Referring to current crackdown on Indian insurgents in Bhutan, he said: <b>"There were recognised camps of insurgents in Bhutan for many years. And the Bhutanese government went for a crackdown on its own without any outside help."

"You see, the case of Bangladesh is completely different," he said.</b> <!--emo&Rolleyes--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Dhaka has said that before launching the crackdown, Bhutanese Foreign Minister Khandu Wangchuk had telephonic conversation with Bangladesh Foreign Minister Morshed Khan on December 18.

Khan said the authorities have been keeping a strong vigil along the Bangladesh border so that insurgents flushed out from Bhutan could not sneak into its territory.

The Foreign Minister also requested his Indian counterpart, Yashwant Sinha, in Abuja to see that any insurgent being driven out from Bhutan cannot cross the border into Bangladesh.

<b>Delhi readies flushout list for Dhaka </b>
New Delhi, Dec. 28 (PTI): Buoyed by Bhutan’s operation against Indian insurgents, Delhi is planning to exert pressure on Bangladesh for a similar action against the northeastern insurgents’ camps on its soil.

A list of 180 camps operating in Bangladesh and 85 prominent insurgents based there will be handed over to Dhaka during a five-day director-general-level meeting of the Border Security Force and the Bangladesh Rifles beginning on January 6 here, official sources said.

During the meeting, which will be attended by top officials of the home and foreign ministries, India will ask Bangladesh to shut down or destroy these camps and hand over the insurgents wanted for various crimes in the country, the sources said.

The list mentions the specific location of each camp and points out the groups running them.

Bangladesh has been denying existence of any such camp in its territory, insisting that it would not allow any anti-India activity on its soil.

The sources, however, said 25 new camps have been detected recently, taking the number to 155. Delhi gave such a list to Bangladesh at the last biennial DG-level meeting in April.

A top Indian official said: “They (Bangladesh) say they have checked and found no such camps. We would like to believe them. But we know militants come here from that side after training. We have caught many of such men.”

These establishments are receiving patronage from fundamentalist elements in Bangladesh, besides support from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence whose presence has seen constant increase in that country, he said. Intelligence reports have also suggested presence of al Qaida in Bangladesh and “such information cannot be ignored”.

The concentration of camps has been seen in Khagrachar, Bandarban and Rangamati tracts of Chittagong hills, besides those in Cox’s Bazar and Maulvi Bazar districts, the sources said. Camps have also been detected in Habibganj, Sylhet, Sherpur and Kurigram.

Most of these camps are run by the Ulfa, National Democratic Front of Boroland, National Liberation Front of Tripura, All Tripura Tiger Force and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak Muivah, the sources said.

The list also includes training camps run by the People’s Liberation Army, Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Assam, Achik National Volunteer Council, Chakma National Liberation Front and the Dima Halam Daoga, they added.

Delhi will also raise the nagging problem of illegal immigration from Bangladesh and that of joint patrolling.

At their last meeting, both sides agreed in principle to start joint patrolling from July 1 but Dhaka failed to respond to New Delhi’s draft to implement the proposal sent in June. The proposal, under which both the BSF and BDR will move together on their sides of the 4,900-km border at a selected time and place, was mooted to end friction over illegal immigration that India considers a serious threat to its security.

BSF then prepared a draft on the modalities and sent it to Bangladesh in June. But Dhaka has been silent on the matter since then.

BANGLADESH 2003

The Islamic Republic of Bangladesh is an underrated member in the
Islamic world. Though he is now a only teenager (14 years) he has
already shown signs of a big league player. He is now at par with
the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
Palestinian Authority etc. being one of the best exponents of Islam.

In his short career so far he has been successful in organizing at
least 4 large scale (Noakhali type) genocides, hundreds of Nadimarg
type massacres and lakhs of `isolated' incidents of rape, murder,
abduction, arson, loot etc. against the Hindus. He has already
demolished more Hindu temples and idols than the great iconoclast
Mahmud of Ghazni. He has already collected more jiziya than
Aurangzeb did. And he already spends more time on thinking about how
to conquer the neighbouring Dar ul Harb than even his elder brother
Pakistan does.

So it is not all surprising that the year 2003 proved to be a time
for the Hindus in the Islamic Republic of Bangladesh. Following are

The source of these atrocities is
http://www.mayerdak.com and http://www.hrcbm.org

-----

Not only are these islamic rats doing it within BD, they are doing it within India
in west bengal and assam

The only way out is to swiftly evacuate the 15 million BD hindus to India and de-islamise WB and Assam and reduce the muslim % below critical mass

Even the US cant control its borders
The only way to stop it is to raise hindu fertility to prevent a demographic vacuum

How muslims do low level ethnic cleansing in secular west bengal

ABDUCTION OF HINDU GIRLS

Murshidabad is one of the poorest districts of West Bengal. And
thanks to unabated illegal migration from Bangladesh it has become a
Muslim majority district. Muslims had already constituted 61.39
percent of the population way back in 1991. Now the district has
become a mere extension of Bangladesh but with a difference. The
atrocities on the Hindus in Bangladesh are at least reported by
Mayer Dak (www.mayerdak.com), HRCBM (www.hrcbm.com), HRT
(www.hrtribune.com) and a section of the Bangladeshi media. But the
same incidents occurring in the nook and corner of West Bengal go
unreported.

The Islamic fundamentalism is so much on the rise in Murshidabad
that even the Quadayanis (Ahmediyas) are being routinely persecuted
by the Sunni Muslims. (The Quadayanis are officially declared as non-
Muslims in Pakistan and on their way to loose their Islamic status
in Bangladesh.) So one can easily make out the extent of atrocities
unleashed on the Hindus. In this backdrop, the abduction of the
hapless Hindu girls goes on. It is no surprise that in India about
200 girls are forced to enter into prostitution everyday.

Similar stories have also been reported from the districts of Nadia,
North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Malda, Birbhum, Dinajpur
(undivided) and even Midnapore (undivided), which had a nominal
Muslim population of only 10.77 percent in 1991. In reality there is
no difference between Bangladesh and West Bengal. And this menace is
not limited to only West Bengal and Bangladesh. Similar incidents
are reported every year from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Nepal.

The tip of the iceberg was reported in the Hindustan Times (Kolkata
edition) on 8th of October this year in a report titled Pimps go
scot-free in Murshidabad. Similar such reports lead to only one
conclusion that it is a well-organized business. And the problem is
widespread. And everybody in the villages of Murshidabad knows it -
the police, the panchayats, the clubs, the local organizations and
even perhaps the next victim. The Communist Party of India (Marxist)
though trashes all allegations, as does their youth wing Democratic
Youth Federation of India. And no surprises, the Muslims are at the
helm of these two organizations' local units.

And given this scenario, the local Muslim goons, enjoying the
patronage of political leaders, routinely abduct Hindu girls and
trash them into flesh trade. While the lives of Rekha, Ila and
Tanuja are shattered, people like Sattar, Qasim, Shahid and Nazrul
roam about freely. The futures of most of these girls are Sonagachhi
(Kolkata), Kamatipura (Mumbai), G.B.Road (Delhi) etc. there are also
far-off destinations like Srinagar. And they are also exported. And
you guessed right. Even bigger Hells await the most beautiful girls.
It is not surprising the most of the Hindu girls in the brothels of
Pakistan (mainly Karachi) and those who serve as sex-slaves in the
animal kingdom of Saudi Arabia are from West Bengal, mainly
Murshidabad.

The environment of Murshidabad is so congenial that the Muslims do
not require any rigorous planning at all. There is an age-old but
very effective and very simple method. The Muslim pimps simply fall
in `love' with the prospective victim. And in a country where the
secularists have scaled new peaks of negationism, hypocrisy and
double standards the difference in faith only serves as an advantage
to the Muslims. Usually the victims are in their teens (13-18) and
with their immaturity they are easily won over by their `lovers'.
Soon the pimps convert the girl and marry her. Then some day they
take the girl to one of his relative's house in different village.
Then after few months when the boy returns the girl is no longer
with him. She has already been sold. A small amount of the profit is
paid to the poor parents of the girl to keep their mouths shut.

If sometimes there is any objection from the Hindus on Muslims goons
marrying Hindu girls the traffickers simply elope with the girl.
Sometimes the Hindu girls simply vanish without a trace even if she
had grown up in Hindu majority locality.

Murshidabad also acts a transit point for the cross-border
traffickers. Tens of thousands of abducted Hindu girls from
Bangladesh, Bihar and Nepal are brought to Kolkata through this
route. In fact Murshidabad is quite a respected name to the
international traffickers who operate from Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi,
Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Dhaka, Dubai, Sharjah, Mecca, Jeddah,
Taif, Medina and Hongkong.

Now why these facts go almost unreported in the media? Why this has
not become an issue in West Bengal let alone in India? Why are the
police not doing anything? The answers are quite simple and quite
obvious.

The secular media has hardly ever shown any interest whenever the
Muslims persecute the Hindus. Have you ever seen any Indian
newspaper publish the true picture of Bangladesh? They are always
busy finding out `Hindu terrorists', `Hindu jihadis', `Hindu
Taliban' etc. etc.

The ruling co-alition Left Front is not interested at all because
the Muslim votebank has kept them at power for so long. Mind you the
Muslims already formed 23.57 percent of the population in 1991. The
Indian National Congress is not interested either, since it takes
the Hindu voters for granted and concentrates on the Muslims. The
Trinamool Congress led by a whimsical Mamata Banerjee perhaps even
does not know of all these. The Bharatiya Janata Party, which has a
nominal presence in West Bengal has only lately addressed the root
cause - namely illegal Muslim migration from Bangladesh.

A large number of local and influential Muslims including political
leaders, social and religious leaders are involved. So the police
and the BSF play it safe. Their point is that they cannot do
anything if the parents sell their daughters.

But the reality is that the Hindus here live in a state of perpetual
fear so much so that they even do not dare to lodge a complain where
their daughters or sisters are abducted by Muslim goons. A vast
majority of Hindus living in the villages under the Police Stations
of Jalangi, Raninagar, Hariharpara, Domkal, Beldanga and Nawada are
moving to safer pastures of the towns in other districts. The border
villages are now exclusively Muslim villages. And amazing isn't it.
While AK-47 and LMGs are being used to drive out Hindus from Kashmir
not a single bullet has been spared so far in Murshidabad but still
the Hindu exodus goes on. And when the region to the east of
Bhagirathi-Hoogly (Ganga) will approach Muslim majority, the demands
for the `Islamistan' or `Greater Bangladesh' or `Mughalistan' (or
whatever nomenclature the newest incarnation of Pakistan may have)
will only get stained with the Hindu blood

So we are held hostage to the Indian muslim vote bank for action against BD
Next the same vote bank will do the same to prevent action against Pakistan

Lets accept the truth that religion is the sole reason for the pakistan and BD problem

*The Sangh has been talking about 180 insurgent camps in Bangladesh . Unlike the Bhutan offensive, the camps in Bangladesh and a strong stand or even some limited action against the Bangladesh government would give a communal colour to the issue.
This would also have an impact on the electoral situation in the North-East and West Bengal where the BJP is particularly weak

Temple on Sangh's poll wishlist
RAJESH RAMACHANDRAN

TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ FRIDAY, JANUARY 02, 2004 12:04:48 AM ]

NEW DELHI : Untangling the Ayodhya imbroglio, a strong stand against insurgent camps in Bangladesh , a diplomatic victory over Pakistan , strengthening regional alliances, a thoroughly weakened Congress.

These are the Sangh Parivar’s New Year wishes and also its prescription for a ‘‘sure victory’’ for the NDA in the general elections.

Though none of the Sangh Parivar affiliates is willing to comment on the proposed win-win solution for the Ayodhya issue, there is a lot of talk about talks on Ayodhya. In fact, there is a certain amount of optimism among Sangh leaders that the government would devise a way out of the mess that would strengthen the Sangh’s credibility in Uttar Pradesh and the rest of the country in the run up to the elections.

However, the Sangh does not insist on a total Hindutva campaign for the next polls. There is some identification with the NDA alliance within the RSS leadership and it does not seem to be insisting on a separate manifesto for the BJP. But some forward movement on Ayodhya would definitely underline the BJP’s commitment to larger Hindutva goals.

‘‘Vajpayee remains the alliance’s icon. His government’s achievments and the feel-good factor would be the overriding campaign issues. Ayodhya , Bangladesh , Indo-Pak relations and firm regional alliances would see the NDA through in these elections. If in 1999 it was a war against Pakistan that won the elections, in 2004 it could be a victory against Pakistan without a war that would help us,’’ said a Parivar leader.

The Sangh has been talking about 180 insurgent camps in Bangladesh . Unlike the Bhutan offensive, the camps in Bangladesh and a strong stand or even some limited action against the Bangladesh government would give a communal colour to the issue.

This would also have an impact on the electoral situation in the North-East and West Bengal where the BJP is particularly weak. In the rest of the country, the Sangh is relying on alliances. According to some leaders, the attempt to break the Congress-NCP allaince was on for the last two months

Bangladesh bans books by Muslim sect
http://www.hinduonnet.com/thehindu/holnu...210018.htm

Dhaka, Jan 8. (UNI): The Bangladesh government today banned the sale, publication and distribution of all books and booklets on Islam published by the Ahmadiya Muslim Jamaat.

An official announcement said the proscribed publications include Bengali or any other translation (with explanation) of the 'Quran Majid'.

The ban came in the wake of agitation by some Islamic groups, who have also planned demonstrations in the capital tomorrow, for declaring the Kadianis as "non-Muslims".

"The ban was imposed in view of objectionable materials in such publications that hurt or might hurt the sentiments of the majority Muslim population of Bangladesh," said the announcement of the Bangladesh Home Ministry.

Around 5,00,000 members of the Ahmadiya community live in Bangladesh, where majority Muslims are 'Sunni'.

The Ahmadiya community established in India respects Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Kadiani as a guide of the Muslims after Prophet Mohammad.

India's options with respect to Bangladesh
----------------

1. Full annexation - rejected by IG in 1971 since it would double the number of muslims within India

2. Annexation of CHT - good idea, lots of land, few muslims

3. Annexation of Khulna subdivision - adds 15 million muslims to India
potentially de-stabilising

4. Evacuation of 15 million non-muslims to India to de-islamise our border districts
and foil BD's lebensraum plot

A combination of #2 and #4 seems ideal

In 1948, Sardar Patel wanted #2 and #3, but thanks to shifting demographics
quarantine is the only solution

BD depends on India for water and essential commodities including beef
Apply pressure on border trade to control its internal and external behavior

Lessons we can learn from the Bangladesh fiasco

A quick recall
In 1971, all OIC countries supported the genocide
All bengali mullahs joined the Razakar death squads

They got their freedom with kafir help

Any rational BD person would have rejected islam

Yet Chandan Mitra writes, within 3 months of liberation, anti-Indian sentiments were rife in BD

If we extrapolate this behaviour to Indian muslims, it shows no amount of carrots will work

Hindu temple, houses torched

http://www.thedailystar.net/2004/01/25/d4012501088.htm

Devotees blame cops, who say it's sequel to land dispute
Staff Correspondent

Unidentified people set alight an old Hindu temple and three tin-shed houses belonging to the Hindus in Chittagong Friday night.

The fire led to a clash between police and devotees at the temple, leaving a constable bullet-hit.

Police sources said fire was set to the temple and the houses as a sequel to a dispute between Sebayet (custodian) Shyamol Sadhu of Gangabari Temple and Jalil Estate at Jaliganj under the port city's Kotwali Police Station. The dispute was over nearly Tk 7 crore worth of land around the temple.

A group of young men set the temple ablaze when police were looking for Shyamol Saha, the sources added.

But the devotees accused police of setting fire to the temple. They also alleged that police harassed Hindu men and women during a door-to -door search of houses of Hindus in the area to find out Shyamol Sadhu, who went into hiding.

The local authorities tried to mediate but the two contending sides refused to accept it, both claiming ownership of the land.

Police have cordoned off the temple premises to ward off further violence as tension gripped the area.

Jalil Estate sources claimed they purchased the land in 1948 and only a small fraction of it is owned by the temple authorities.

Devotees at the temple will explain their views at a press conference today.

No case was filed. The officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station recorded a general diary.

Many of those killed by the Pakistanis in 1971 were Hindus.
