Sandeep Pandey is an insult to everyone with a last name of Pandey, especially to following people:
Sri Mangal Pandey (Revolutionary from 1857)
Lt. Manoj Pandey (PVC from Kargil)
1) India's Prime Minister is a Sikh
2) India's chief of army is a Sikh
3) Punjab receives highest amount of subsidy from Central Govt after Kashmir
(Some of that money will be better spent in places like UP, Orissa, Assam and so on.)
i want to know.... why is punjab given this preference??? no wonder punjab has better infrastructure than the rest of the country... afterall a hefty part of the money collected from the whole of india has been sunk into punjab since independence. but why?
Punjab is a border state. Before fence it was very important to discourage people to get involved in anti social or anti-national activity sponsored by Pakistan. Sikh movement was end product of such adventure. Prosperity in Punjab is very important, initially to keep people loyal towards India. It worked also. Investing in Punjab was a good investment, first punjabâs fertile land and hardworking people, and result was great.
One should remember after partion maximum fertile land went to Pakistan. Refugess from pakistan need every support.
In 70s, before DD or AIR started separate station for Punjab, Pakistan was beaming their propaganda through TV and radio in Punjab. There was a time when we were only able to see Pakistani programme and one can easily see propaganda. They will show prosperity everywhere in Pakistan and all negative news about India. They were very good in brainwashing, e.g. we all are brothers, language ties us, our culture is same, we are separated brothers etc. Then they gave us Sikh movement, drugs and liquor culture. Because of prosperity, now people have no interest in Pakistan for jobs or other reason. Yes, drugs may be.
