There are some "over smart" people in the government, Hazare said. "When I was in Delhi I saw five to six people in the government acting as if they were the PM. There was complete confusion and Sonia Gandhi was also not there", he said.
Arvind Kejriwal, fighting off charges of corruption, said, "By October 15, an audit report of expenses incurred by India Against Corruption (IAC) during April 1 to September 30 will be put up on IAC website. All members of the core team will declare their assets. A three-member committee of retired HC/SC judges will be formed to look into complaints about alleged corruption in the expenses." Team member Prashant Bhushan said allegations were made about Anna and his team members. "We will send them defamation notices and seek apologies," he said.
"I appeal to people to form teams and visit colleges, offices and societies to spread awareness about the bill. We are forming sub-committees that will meet party leaders and create awareness about Jan Lokpal bill", she said.
Commenting on the recent police firing on farmers agitating against land acquisition in Maval, Anna said grabbing farmers' land and firing on them were not signs of a democracy.
"That is why I believe gram sabha's approval for any land acquisition should be made mandatory," he said.

[size="3"]While Section 49(O) of current election rules does provide for an option where a voter may not vote for any of the candidates, the measure has no significant impact on the ground. By instructing voters to register their names separately if they wish to exercise the no-vote option, the provision goes against the fundamental principle of a secret ballot. It would be prudent to suitably amend the election rules and have the no-vote option enshrined in the voting machines themselves. In order to make the measure meaningful, if the number of no-votes polled exceeds that of all other candidates, the particular constituency should be obliged to conduct a fresh round of elections with a new set of nominees.[/size]
[size="3"]In strengthening the no-vote option political parties will be forced to put up suitable candidates. If the measure is combined with the proposal to debar candidates charged with serious crimes - an amendment to the Representation of the People Act towards this end is currently under consideration - it would provide a powerful tool to check criminalisation of politics and serve as an antidote to institutional corruption. Such reforms would go a long way towards making the political system vibrant, efficient and more in tune with what the people of India want. They deserve as much importance as a strengthened Lokpal.

Could you please write more on it as it appears most unlikely given China's increasingly aggressive naval, land and other expansions in the subcontinent. Further, they also have outwardly adopted communism (outwardly because certain guru-s maintain that all along the history, China has not been what it seemed to the external world) which separates them from our system of governance. Although I think they are closer to us in terms of tradition (but not really sure, I score terribly on that!)

The first understanding of a nation's existence is in identifying its external enemy. (sometimes this identification can take two forms - immediate enemy and eternal enemy). Take for instance Japan during the second World War. Japan fought with China on the one hand and the U.S. on the other. In terms of who its main enemy who threatened Japan's existence is easy for you to identity. It was the United States. Why China was not its main enemy is not only because China was militarily weak then but that China and Japan has for centuries lived in relative peaceful co-existence.
This is the same principle that applies to China when you recon who would be the existential threat to China. Not India in the least.
Actually Kanchi Paramacharya taught this to Dr.Subramanian Swamy! Ask him if it was true or not.
By the way, the fall of Hindu empire to the Islamic hoards was because of non-apprehension and or failing to appreciate the dangers of external threat.

What is immediate but not lasting threat can be sorted out by give and take. As you know what is given and what is taken, by their very nature, will not last and they diminish and disappear in time. Eternal enmity on the other hand will end in destruction of one party or both in the end.
Countries like the U.S., Pakistan, Bangladesh and any number of countries usurped from others or drawn up on the sand by the British and other westerners in Arabia, Asia, Africa and Latin America will disappear in time but would inflict their damage while they last on nature and on people by the very fact they are not natural. Pl. try to look from this angle for this angle outlives all other angles. Then you will understand that countries like Quwait or Iraq or Libya and so on are not real countries but were drawn for the convenience of the asuric hoards of westerners and they will redraw them if necessary.
What is eternal is the fight between the asuric and dhaivic forces and strangely but truly only India has the ability to head the dhaivic forces. Actually in the ultimate fight not only China, but Japan and the entire Asia will be on the side of India!
