Kerala demands to shut down Endosulfan Plant

The Government of Kerala is well within its Right to shut down the operations of any industrial entity that has been degrading its Environment and affecting, adversely, the health of its people - including those owned by the Government of India.

To get it re-opened the Government of India needs to appeal with the High Court and may be later at the Supreme Court.

The resultant legal battle would sensitize the citizens of India and another peoples movement would erupt to force the

Central Government's policy on the production and usage of Inorganic Insecticides & Pesticides - which have been eroding our digestive and auto immunity system and also giving us many permanent health problems, through contaminating our food and water chains.

We have seen that mere hunger-strikes and other Agitations do not move the juggernaut of the Government Policy Making Mechanism which has been bought out by the money bags.

First indications are that the crash was an accident, officials say.

Television channels said the plane crashed around 6:30 a.m. (2 a.m. British time). TV images showed it struck a forested area. Flames were seen blazing from of some of the wreckage as rescue workers fought to bring the fire under control.

"The plane had broken into two. I jumped out of the plane after it crashed. I saw two other people also come out," Abdullah, a survivor from the plane, told local channel TV9 from hospital.

"There was tyre-burst kind of noise. I tried to get out of the front but saw that there was a big fire. So I went back again and jumped out from there."

One television channel showed a fireman carrying in his arms what seemed to be the remains of a child. Charred bodies and an engine lay in the forested terrain.

"The flight had already landed. There was slight rain. The flight skidded off," eyewitness Mohiuddin Bava told CNN-IBN channel. "After that it caught fire. Villagers, everyone there, came to rescue. The plane wings are right in front of me now."

Air India Express is the low cost arm of Air India. The budget airline started about five years ago. This is the first crash involving an Air India Express plane, according to an Air India spokesman.

Air India is a state-run loss making carrier. The government has been trying to infuse funds to revive the airline against stiff competition from private carriers.

I have opened this thread to discuss trends in the post-nineteenth century Hindu intellectual tradition.

1. Since the Hindu intellectual tradition is 'experiential' and inherently different from (monotheist-derived) ideologies, does it even make sense to speak of an Hindu intellectual tradition? Are the so-called western standards and stupendously elaborate theories truly bankrupt (as many suspect that they are), and thus it is a fools errand to expect Hindu output along the same lines?

2. Do Indian anti-colonial social analysis (eg RM, Balagangadhara), anti-colonial geopolitical analysis (Sandhya Jain), and Indian sociopolitical analysis (Kanchan Gupta, Arun Shourie) have the potential to morph into full-blown counterparts and alternatives to the hallowed western pretenders? Do the nouveau Indian historical analyses have such potential or is it merely enough to demolish the Thapars and Witzels?

3. Why are the seculars pressing the point of the supposed intellectual bankruptcy of Hindutva? Is it merely an abusive tactic?

4. Is heathenism a valid resurgence plank among the formerly colonized?

5. Have certain Hindutva intellectual traditions been appropriated and thus silenced as evidences of positive Hindutva creativity for the youth?

6. Are the Indian youth intellectually restless and looking for an intellectual outlet? Is this the reason for constant media, secular, and western demonization of hindutva intellectual output?

Mob politics reached Rajya Sabha as this bill passed it and here is what it may bring in it's passage thru Lok Sabha:

Congress on its part may have to live with the fact that desertion by SP and RJD as UPA supporters will mean a loss of 26 MPs. It will bring it close to the majority mark and leave it groping for free-floating individuals like Jaya Prada, Jaswant Singh, Digvijay Singh, small parties like JD(S) and its own allies like Trinamool Congress.

The party brass seems to have taken a decision that it can indulge in counter brinkmanship with allies who too need Congress in view of crucial battles in Bengal and Tamil Nadu.

Though survival may not be a real threat, it does leave the ruling benches with the task of managing numbers ahead of every crucial bill, particularly those relating to finance.

1) To continue to receive funding from various government and environmental lobby sources. They even sent out emails telling everyone when funding was coming in and where from so that they could line up at the trough. 2) To continue to back up the IPCCâs false claims of Global Warming in order to pass such Global Treaties as the Copenhagen treaty. Fortunately for the people of the world, it will absolutely fail this December. It was marked for failure before these emails were made public. Now itâs just that much more certain.

3) Numerous governments across Europe have enacted Cap and Trade schemes that have cost billions in lost GDP to nations like France and Great Britain. The scope of what has been quite literally robbed from the people of those nations is staggering â in the range of hundreds of billions of dollars. The economy of Great Britain is in shambles, and the people of those nations are suffering, their cost of living has gone up so fast that the poverty level has risen past the ability of their governments to write the welfare checks.

Their governments told them this was the best for climate, when in reality they were following pied pipers from the UN the IPCC and the East Anglica University and others who were all quite literally lying through their scientific degrees. All to justify a system of taxation that is nearly as bad as anything instituted during the middle ages â taking money from the people to fund the government class.

4) The entire point of the Copenhagen treaty was to use global cap and trade schemes to take money from 1st and 2nd world countries and give it to 3rd world nations as some sort of recompense for using Carbon, a naturally occurring element, as well as the single most common element on earth.
The single most amazing thing about this whole hoax is the numbers of people that actually bought into it. The amount of money that has been poured into this black hole of corruption is nothing short of astounding. Many people have known this and upon speaking out have been derided as nuts, deniers, ect. Well today is the day for all those who have been telling the truth to stand tall and bask in the glow of âI told you so.â The Global Warming Deniers were right all along. The IPCC data was not only wrong, but deliberately wrong.

The UN, the IPCC and all those who have been pushing this farce are borderline criminals bent upon robbing the American people along with the people of the world, all while lining their own pockets richly. Yes, that means you Al Gore and George Soros, both of whom have made hundreds of millions and an Academy Award off the scheme.
