WE ALL MEDICOS OR DOCTORS WANT TO SAY ALL THOSE WHO R WITH US AND THOSE WHO CRITICISE US THAT.................

1. We medical students/doctors don't dress up fancy to the hospital, because you and your family wouldn't want to get treated by someone wearing a short skirt and sporting a sexy hair style. Since you think that they won't be "good doctors" and would be too pricy to care!

2. We don't go out as often as you do,during the 5 and half years(UG) and 3 years (PG) (a 4 and a half years and then of course clearing the license - applies to PTists) because we're so exhausted by working for long hours, that we choose to sleep and get rid of those sleep-deprived dark circles.

3. Yes, we STUDY. Like crazy. Call us nerds, if you have to. Because tomorrow you wouldn't want to get your kidneys removed instead of your appendix or take drugs for TB instead of common cold.

4. We give our 100% in doing whatever is possible to treat you. Oh of course, you smoke 10 cigarettes a day and then, in the end blame the medical science for not coming up with a 100% cure against lung cancer!

5. Sorry, we fail to make it to your night parties since we have Night Shifts, where probably you would get your friend who passed out too bad or met with an accident after drinking and driving.

6. We are totally into our family. Because with time, we realize that they're the only ones who bear the expense, the pain, the stress along with us. And we believe, in being nice to them as a sign of gratitude.

7. We move aside in buses and trains, giving you space to sit/stand. And you try to push us out all the more to get some more "space" for yourself.

8. We stay humble and polite and patiently try dealing with you. But you choose to get violent because you lost your cool and think that creating a scene would better your kith's condition.

9. We don't argue with you when you criticize the lifestyle of docs because we know you would never understand.

10. Everything being said and done, we know that things or opinions won't change in a minute or two or that you will stop slapping or sue-ing us; we will still continue to help you recover from what you've invited on yourself. We chose to be doctors, not only because we had the brains. We could've chosen engineering or the other fun filled courses with good money and settled lives. But we did, because we know that no matter what happens, you will NEED US!

Mr. Sushil Sharma with the objective to reunite India and Pakistan to create Indo-Pak Mahasangha {strategically a partner for peace and development in the region}, which will stop blood bath among friends and relatives. It's well known fact that, before leaving India the Britisher’s created conflicts between Hindu and Muslims by dividing India and Pakistan and left Kashmir independent under their great policy. They knew very well, on this issue both the countries will fight with each other and never live peace fully forever. Because of the “divide and rule” policy till this day we have lost millions of friends and relatives. Nevertheless, we are still not able to solve the problem created by the British.

Rejoining India and Pakistan could not take place because of unexpected death of our father of nation Mahatma Gandhi who was killed by an extremist who thought Mahatma was responsible for slaughter of innocent people. According to him if Mahatma had elected a conscious prime minister and not insisted Nehru to become prime minister of united India, millions of innocent Hindus and Muslims lives could be saved and partition had not taken place. However, it was a great British policy to break the union of Hindu and Muslim of the undivided India.
"United we stand, divided we fall"

Make Indo-Pak Mahashanga to provide better education, create more employment and business opportunity in region
If Germany can be united, which was divided by the British in 1945 and unite for the development their citizen in 1990, why India and Pakistan cannot be re-united for its citizens?

What would you improve about hinduism? Is there even anything to improve for you? Im not born a hindu but will give my opinion however. I would stop worship of unhiegynic and dangerous animals like rats and snakes. I would stop superstition like believing that retarded people are reincarnation of gods like the little girl who was born retarded and was thought by hindus to be the reincarnation of the godess lakshmi. I would not forbid idol worshipping because i think the hindu idols and arts is beautiful and something to be proud of. I would also get rid of marrying dogs or animals, tantric teachings like vagina(yoni) worship, and sects and cults like the aghoris who drink cow piss practice cannibalism and smoke weed would be forbidden because they are no saints for me. I would put on emphazy more on the monotheistic side of hinduism like the one supreme being (i know that even hindus believe in the one supreme being but with many faces). I would restrict cow worship wouldnt end it but restrict it. Cows shouldnt walk freely on the streets and block the traffic and shit on the roads, i would also allow people to eat the cow because if she is holy its ok to drink her milk and eat her meat because she will give you power i think the early santhana dharmis ate cow meat (dont quote me on that because im not sure) but she has to be respected and not tortured or killed in a painful way etc...

What do you think of my ideas? No disrespect intended. Thanks

SINGAPORE (Reuters Life!) - Singapore has warned a Christian pastor that his online videos are offensive to Buddhists and Taoists, underlining the city-state's concerns that religion is a potential faultline for its multicultural society.

Pastor Rony Tan, of Lighthouse Evangelism, apologized and pulled the video clips off the internet after being visited by the government's Internal Security Department on Monday, the pastor and the government said on their websites.

The Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday Tan's comments were "highly inappropriate and unacceptable," and could "give rise to tension and conflict between the Buddhist/Taoist and Christian communities."

The clips are no longer available online, but the Straits Times said they involved ridiculing beliefs, including Buddhist concepts of rebirth, karma and nirvana, drawing laughter from Tan's audience.

Singpore's move comes after rising religious tensions in neighboring Malaysia, where churches and mosques have been hit by arson and vandalism in recent weeks amid a row over the use of the word "Allah" by Christians.

Singapore last week arrested three youths aged between 17 and 18 for posting remarks on Facebook that have been deemed to be racist, local media reported.

They are likely to be charged under the Sedition Act, under which anyone found guilty of promoting feelings of ill will or hostility against other races or religions faces fines of up to S$5,000 ($3,520) as well as the possibility of being jailed for up to three years.

Singapore, which saw deadly racial riots in the 1950s and 1960s, is a base for many multinational companies which value its stability, infrastructure and proximity to fast-growing Asian markets.

Buddhists and Taoists account for half of Singapore's nearly 5 million population. Muslims and Christians account for 15 percent each.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in a speech last August that religious and racial tensions were the country's biggest potential social faultlines.

‘EVMs illegally being used for a decade’- AJAY JAGGA, Lawyer-India

Sanjay Sharma, TNN, Feb 22, 2010, 03.44am IST

CHANDIGARH: The electronic voting machines (EVMs) are being used in violation of the Information Technology Act 2000, a research paper has revealed.

Author of the research paper, advocate Ajay Jagga, told The Times of India, on Sunday that as per IT Act, 2000, a verifiable audit trail has to be provided in case of any electronic record, which is now admissible as evidence as per Evidence Act but in case of electronic voting, the voter does not get any receipt with regard to his voting.

The research paper recently attracted the attention of experts when a conference on “EVMs: How trustworthy?” in Chennai passed a unanimous resolution on February 13 asking Jagga to approach the Election Commission of India (ECI) for bringing the electronic voting procedure in tune with IT Act, 2000.

Jagga said he would soon approach ECI seeking formation of legal committee to remove the illegality or will knock the doors of court.

The lawyer said, “Unless the voter gets a receipt like the one we get in ATM or after the use of debit or credit cards, all electronic transactions including a vote, are illegal.” What is the evidence that the vote cast has really been recorded and that it has been recorded in the manner the voter intended, he asked.

For the purpose and to protect the secrecy of ballot, all such receipts, after the voter has checked his transaction, should be put in a box which should remain with ECI to be produced as evidence in case of a dispute, he said. The government amended the relevant laws in 1989 to equate EVM with ballot and ballot box to facilitate transition from ballot paper to EVM but the IT Act 2000 created a new complication that has to be immediately resolved in the interest of fairness of things, Jagga pointed out.

The lawyer also proved that the machine can be tampered with which has been accepted by the government itself in its letter to withdraw patent applications filed by Electronics Corporation of India and Bharat Electronics Ltd, makers of the machine. The PSUs withdrew their patent applications on the ground that the machine may not be tamper-proof, he said, adding that America and Germany had to return to ballot paper after their machines were found wanting.

The inflationary budget presented by the Finance Minister has rocked and shocked the nation, as with the immediate hike in fuel prices is certainly going to put fuel on the fire and will have a cascading effect on prices of almost all goods as transportation costs will rise. The backlash of the “aam aadmi” is inevitable. The FM has widened the tax slabs, but has not enhanced the exempted limit of Rs. 1.6 lac, which will effect only those, whose income is above Rs. 3 pac per annum, but overall it is just like a coat of sugar on the bitter bill. By any standards it can not be termed as an ideal budget. The benefit of the income tax is not going to affect more than 1% population ie low salary class and low income group because the income tax assessees are less than 4% of the population and most of them are below the income Rs. 2,5 lac, on whom the impact of tax concessions is nil. The budget has nothing to arrest or control the price rise and inflation and the inflationary trends will continue and will have the devastating effect on the aam aadmi. The visible effect of relief of income tax will be wiped out by the indirect taxes like excise duties, as they have been hiked. So it is like putting in one pocket and pulling out more from the other pocket, because the net revenue loss in income tax is of Rs. 26,000 crore and net revenue gain from excise is of 46,500 crore, so the ultimate loss to the people is of Rs. 20,500 crores . The only sweet factor in the budget is for the tiny tots as the toy balloons will become cheaper as they have been fully exempted from central excise duty. Hence the smile is only for the tiny tots due to cheaper toy balloons but not for the parents.

Karma & Rebirth: The Only Logical Choice - Proof

Karma & Rebirth is the only logical choice (no more Hell, thank God). This can be proven by the following examples:

A child continues to misbehave in a store despite the admonitions of his parents. Eventually he breaks a product. Does the parent simply forgive the child? Then the child learns nothing. Or do you give him a beating? Use physical violence against a child? In the olden days this was quite common, but today this action might get you jail time! So, what do present-day parents do? Today we talk to the child, make him see why his actions were wrong, have him apologize to the store owner, and then make him do odd jobs to help pay for the cost of the product. This way the child learns the right lesson, imparted by loving parents using non-violent methods. This is essentially Karma & Rebirth in action! If a Hindu were to commit an error but was unable to correct it before his death, he is given another chance to do so in the next life. He is not going to be physically punished, but he is not going to get away with his error either.

A second example: A driver makes an error on the highway resulting in horrific consequences. He dies along with a few others; others survive but suffer terrible injuries. They endure multiple surgeries; some of them lose their life savings and houses, and are forced to live in home-less shelters. Those who had lost their loved ones must now deal with the anguish of the loss, live with the realization that they will never see their loved ones again! Some religions teach that God forgives everyone, but can one be so callous as to enter heaven knowing that the victims of the accident are suffering? This brings to mind some of the henchmen of Hitler who escaped to countries like Argentina and lived a happy life while their victims were left to deal with the pain and suffering.

Another example is that of a student who fails to pass an exam. Will the Teacher bail him out, forgive him and simply pass him? No good Teacher will do that, if she does that, she is not doing her job. The student must accept responsibility, he failed because he did not listen to his teacher, did not heed her teachings, his failure is his alone. He must redouble his efforts, find and correct his mistakes and must pass the exam on the strength of his efforts alone! The Teacher will be with him every step of the way, encouraging him, teaching him, and disciplining him when necessary.

What if God gave you a choice? Either go to heaven or be reborn and maybe help the victims of the car accident or others in a similar situation? Which option would you choose? For me, honestly, there is only one option. Karma & Rebirth is the only logical choice.

But let’s not lose sight of the bigger picture here – we may never know if Karma & Rebirth can be proven to be occurring - these concepts are teaching us to accept responsibility for our actions, do the right thing! If you made an error, don’t run away, stand your ground, accept responsibility, take the criticism, then go out and take steps to correct the situation! It’s about being held Accountable for our actions – don’t look for the easy way out nor should you ask for one, instead one should be prepared to accept responsibility for our actions and seek to rectify the situation as much as one can.

The concept of Karma & Rebirth also does away with the notion of Hell – a barbaric, abusive place unworthy of God. Would a Mahatma Gandhi run a prison where his enemies are tortured? Would a Dalai Lama or a Nelson Mandela ever think of torturing their enemies? How about the likes of Saddam Hussain, Stalin or Hitler? And this is the company that God keeps? Evil men like Saddam Hussain and Stalin used to run torture chambers, and we think God uses their brutal methods? God buys love with threats of torture? But if we are uncomfortable with the concept of Hell, then we must do away with Heaven also. It does not make sense for Pedophiles, Murderers, Abusers, Terrorists and the like to simply walk into heaven.

Besides, with Rebirth, we get the Greatest Gift of all, the Gift of Life! Over and over again! Not only giving us a chance to rectify past mistakes but to also fulfill desires that we were unable to pursue in a previous life. As we get older, we reflect on our past – the mistakes that were made, the wrong choices made, the wrong associations etc. How many of us wish that we could have a do-over? And that is exactly what God let’s us do with the Gift of Life!

Anyway we look at it; Karma & Rebirth is the only logical choice

DMK threatens Tamil Actor Vijay

Chennai, Sept. 7: Rahul Gandhi’s plans to revive his party in Tamil Nadu by taking on board film star Vijay have suffered a setback with the actor backing out on the eve of the Congress MP’s three-day tour.

Apparently, the DMK is behind the about-turn of the 35-year-old actor.

Vijay has informed the state Congress that he will not be able to share the dais with Rahul — who is scheduled to arrive in Madurai tomorrow — at a public meeting at Coimbatore on Thursday.

Although many had expected Vijay to join the Congress at the programme, sources close to him had clarified that his appearance with Rahul would have only been a statement of intent, with the formal entry likely to have happened later.

The political baptism of Vijay, who has starred in 48 films, was also meant to give an added impetus to Vettaikkaaran (Hunter), his Diwali release which comes after his last three films bombed and raised doubts about his ability to be among the top five box-office draws in Tamil cinema.

Vijay had met Rahul in Delhi in August when the Congress general secretary had reportedly offered to make him the chief of the Tamil Nadu Youth Congress.

For Vijay, already bitten by the political bug and having floated the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (Vijay People’s Movement) to convert his fan base into a political outfit, Rahul’s invite proved timely.

Rahul, who has put the state Youth Congress on a membership drive, had calculated that Vijay’s appeal, especially among the youth, could be a winning formula to recapture the ground the Congress has lost to the Dravidian parties since being voted out in 1967.

The advantage would be greater if actor Vijayakanth’s DMDK was brought on board. The Congress could then even take the calculated risk of fighting the 2011 state polls without ally DMK’s help.

But the DMK apparently had other plans as it did not want its hegemony challenged by an energised Congress, already peeved at being denied a share of the power despite its life-saving support to the M. Karunanidhi government.

As a first step, a Chennai marriage hall owned by Vijay received a notice from police two weeks ago asking for a pandal to be removed on the ground that it was impeding traffic.

Vijay and his father, film director S.A. Chandrasekar, remained unfazed, till the DMK unleashed its next weapon. A producer considered close to the DMK reportedly met Chandrasekar with the stern message that if his son continued to hobnob with the Congress, none of his future films would find a theatre for their screening.

Since Vijay’s future as a star hinged on Vettaikkaaran, which incidentally has been purchased by Sun Pictures, owned by the Marans, relatives of Karunanidhi, the father-son duo decided to deep-freeze their political ambitions, at least temporarily.

“I am in no position to speak to any section of the media at present,” Chandrasekar said over the phone when contacted for a comment. But a director close to Vijay said the actor, in the face of such open threats from the state’s ruling party, had decided to retreat tactically to fight another day.

“His decision to join hands with Rahul has only been deferred and not jettisoned,” the director added.

The Congress has chosen to watch and wait, but decided to go ahead with the membership drive for its youth wing regardless of Vijay’s plans.

“The response has been tremendous, especially in villages where Rahul has caught the imagination of the youth. So, for the present, we will build on that and if Vijay joins us later, we will take that as a bonus,” said Congress Rajya Sabha MP C. Gnanadesikan.
