"The party president said that performance audit of office-bearers will be an important aspect (of his term)," BJP spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad said after the meeting.

Prasad said that Gadkari laid thrust on mutual cooperation and trust in his opening remarks.

"He (Gadkari) compared organisational strength to foundation of a building and called for collective efforts to make it strong," the spokesman said.

The BJP's small states mantra will be used by INC to get them to align with the splitting of AP without any benefit to them. BJP wont have a chance in new part nor any goodwill in remaining part.

It is a more long term stance

In residual Telengana, muslims will be 13% and enough to scare Hindus

into consolidation in the long term

This Hindu consolidation will lead to BJP win

Note BJP has a good vote share in Hyderabad, since the muslim % is high enough to scare Hindus

In residual Andhra, muslims will be 6% and irrelevant

Looks like Karnataka Govt is consolidating for now the Congress leader Siddiramiah is inspired to do idiotgiri after seeing the movie!

CM-cum-socialist leader Karpoori Thakur as an occasion for the party's EBC mobilisation in the state.

Thakur was born on January 24 and died on February 17. Popularly known as KT in select circles, his aura and political activities had crossed the caste limits. He had support and constituencies in all sections of society though he was born in an EBC caste. The EBCF of the BJP would launch a statewide campaign for EBC mobilisation from February 1, but the prelude to it would be set by the birth anniversary celebrations at Patna beginning on January 24, said party's EBCF president Sanjay Singh Chandravanshi.

Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi would formally launch the EBC mobilisation programme on January 24 at a function to be held in the auditorium of the Indira Gandhi

Quote:Jammu, Feb 10 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP today got a shot in the arm with about 60 members of Gujjar community from across the state joining the party.

Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, state BJP president Shamsher Singh Manhas said the outfit has always promoted workers who are committed to its principles and policies.

Stating that BJP represents true picture of secularism and nationalism, Manhas accused Congress and other regional parties of indulging in appeasement of a particular faith for vote bank politics.

The party brass was also looking at ways to "optimally utilise" the services of Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar -- - both of them are spokespersons in the outgoing team. Piyush Goel is the treasurer. Kiran Maheshwari and Saroj Pande are the women office bearers in the team. Navjot Sidhu is an interesting addition to the BJP office-bearer's team while Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi (vice president in the outgoing team), will remain important in the party's scheme of things.

100 technocrats pitch in for BJP
Quote:NEW DELHI: A hundred “volunteers” — young technocrats from the corporate world – here on Monday swore allegiance to the cause of hindutva.

Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Gadkari “received” the free services of the volunteers wearing orange T-shirts.

Sanjay Kaul, who set up the United Volunteers Association, said at the outset that his association was inspired by the principles dear to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and his organisation was interested in furthering the hindutva ideology.

After the BJP's 2009 Lok Sabha defeat, a large number of party supporters were despondent and wanted to do something to get the right message to the people on what the hindutva party was all about, Mr. Kaul said.

As the 100 men and women got on to the stage at Mavlankar Hall to take their oath of allegiance to the BJP, Mr. Gadkari and the former RSS spokesperson, M.G. Vaidya, looked on.

Mr. Gadkari repeated what the senior party leaders had been saying for the past two decades: the BJP was not anti-Muslim or anti-minority; it believed in “justice for all, appeasement for none”; and it was the “pseudo-secularists posing as liberals,” who were painting the BJP as a right-wing fundamentalist group.

BJP Future - 7 - manish - 03-23-2010

Unless BJP throws out the selfish and power hungry politicians who are more nautankis than part of a strategic core symbolizing the real Hindutva with ultra fast paced inclusive economic growth along with huge build up in military capacities with impeccable honesty, the BJP is always going to lose, since congress can count on hundred percent support of Arabian influenced IM's and the support of Hindus who see no difference in the corrupt netas of congress and BJP.I admit to being one of them.

People like Advani, Sushma and their hangers'on have to be publicly humiliated and thrown out and people like Modi and Arun Shourie have to be brought in as top brass and huge change in organizational setup with discipline brought up. An idea of vibrant, disciplined, prosperous, self confident India has to be shown and with active positive results towards it day in and day out should come.

Akhand Bharat without people who have hallucinogenic quality vis a vis Arabia is our destiny and I am quite confident that this is going to play out in this vedic land soon, since nature abhors a vacuum and I find the vacuum growing daily and it is just about time that a leader we want is going to emerge. Adharma has had a long play but like everything is finishing , towards Dharma lies the way.

The pendulum is ready to swing the other way.

Of course the leader that we want can come from the kangress but it is a status-qo party so change has to come from outside.

Just my 2 cents ignore it if u want to but please do remember it.

BJP Future - 7 - Capt M Kumar - 03-24-2010

The main reason for BJP to lag behind is:

it's absence or negligible presence and/ or reliable alliance in states like

Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pardesh, West Bengal and North Eastern states.

BJP Future - 7 - ramana - 03-25-2010

The Indian press is there to publically humilate BJP people. It would be a major self goal to do so by BJP of the people who stood by in its bad times and built it up.

Op-Ed in Pioneer 31 Mar.,2010

Quote:Uma, BJP must join forces

Sudhansu R Das

Had the Sangh Parivar taken the initiative to get the BJP’s stalwarts on the same page before the last Lok Sabha election, the UPA would not have returned to power. Senior BJP leader LK Advani has admitted it was the disunity among party leaders that led to the BJP’s defeat. Over the years, BJP leaders have been quoting historical facts to explain the lack of unity among Hindus, which they say is the source of misery in our society. But they too have fallen victim to the same disease.

Both the BJP and its former leader Uma Bharati wasted seven precious years in trying to decide if they should unite for a common cause. This exemplifies the fact that the Sangh has failed to convince the people that Hindutva is synonymous with universal brotherhood. Whereas, the BJP has hardly succeeded in countering the malicious campaign of its opponents who have unjustly tried to equate Hindutva with communalism.

The absence of Govindacharya has been extremely costly for the BJP. The former was one of the key strategists of the party. Govindacharya was relegated to oblivion due to the BJP’s dilution of political integrity. Being a cadre-based party, this is something that the BJP can ill-afford.

Politics of convenience is something that the RSS cadre, who have given their blood and sweat for the BJP’s growth, can never endorse. Ms Bharati enjoyed the backing of the RSS cadre due to her clean image. When she first came to Bhopal she was up against huge odds. Then Chief Minister Digvijay Singh had turned the State into an impregnable fortress for the Congress. But Ms Bharati, with the support of the RSS, was able to breach this fortress. She comprehensively exposed the Chief Minister’s lies about development in the State. As a result, Ms Bharati was able to win a thumping majority and become the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

But the fire-brand sadhvi did have her shortcomings. She was too quick to judge her party colleagues in the BJP. She should have realised that she was part of a political party and not a sat sangh. She and the BJP must come together to give the country the political direction it needs.

<img src='http://www.india-forum.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> Party president Nitin Gadkari put forward 14 questions to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh relating to price rise, plight of the farmers and 'aam admi' and reasons behind its failure in curbing inflationary trends.

"Where have things gone wrong?" was Gadkari's first question. He said though the Chinese GDP growth is 9.5 per cent as against India's 7.2 per cent, it had two per cent inflation as compared to India's 11 per cent. http://www.indianexpress.com/news/bjpspovertyposersforpm/598776/0

Yeddyurappa ends 50 years of Cong dominance

It is another feather in Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa’s cap. For the first time in the State’s political history, the BJP has ended five decades of Congress dominance and captured the prestigious Bangalore Corporation and the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

The State went to polls on March 28 and about 46 per cent of the city’s 6.6 million voters turned up to cast their ballots for electing 198 representatives from over 1,300 candidates to run the Greater Bangalore City Corporation.

The result is seen as a personal victory for Yeddyurappa and has given him a boost to fight his critics both inside and outside the party. The demolition of the JD(S) is a major blow to former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, who had launched a vicious campaign against the State Government on the issue of Bangalore and Mysore road project. The result is also a blow to a handful of BJP dissidents and has sent out a strong message that Yeddyurappa was the undisputed leader of the party in Karnataka.

Of the 198 BBMP seats, the BJP won 112 seats, followed by the Congress’ 64 seats and 15 by the JD(S) and seven independents. In addition to the 198 corporators, 52 elected members — MPs, MLAs and MLCs — have voting rights in the mayoral polls. The BJP has 31 of these 52 members, including 17 MLAs in the BBMP jurisdiction. The Congress has 10 MLAs and the JD(S) one.

Talking to the media in Bangalore, a jubilant Yeddyurappa said Bangaloreans voted the BJP because of the State Government’s good work. He said the BJP capturing the BBMP was a “fitting reply” to the Opposition Congress and JD(S), adding that the verdict has “silenced critics”

Gowda lost money making machine. Sad day for Congress and Gowda

Congratulations BJP!!! Now target Tamil Nadu please.......

BJP Future - 7 - ramana - 04-07-2010

Maybe we are seeing a new Vijayanagar! Yes it has to be TN if this is correct.

BJP Future - 7 - Guest - 04-07-2010

We wouldn't want TN to fall to Maoists. Luckily, the terrain is not as tough as in the current Red Corridor. With Kerala continuing to have its share of problems, TN is the next best candidate. BJP gotta win something in 2014. It is a do or die situation.

Before that can happen, it has to wrestle some local assembly seats in TN. I am kind of 50-50 in sharing some alliance with one of MuKa's sons - Azhagiri or Stalin.

BJP needs a Kautilya, like NOW !!!
