<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->It's just due to a long-period of brainwashing: where our instructors made it a point to teach us how low and insignificant, evil and indolent we were.
Since Indians can't change who they are biologically, they are trying to change who they are as per their historic identity by selling themselves to support any who'd criticise India and/or Hinduism.
In fact, many people have this problem to different degrees and different ways, and some even exhibit it in totally different fashion.
- I know a Cambodian who's converted herself to christianity and hates everything about Cambodia. From what I can figure out, it appears to have something to do with shame of how the despicable communist Khmer Rouge was so easily able to mow down her ancient civilisation in a short space of time. Her parents are still Buddhist and she hates them even more, she made it clear even in high school that she couldn't wait to leave her home. I met her parents, they were very good people.
- There's a HK christian girl who has now even changed her name to a western one and swears she will never visit HK again, and that the people there have a totally alien mindset to her (she's right on that score). She said more about her self-perception which I find too ridiculous to repeat here.
- Some Africans try to do the 'if you can't beat the horrible stereotype they've created for you, then all you can do is live up to it'. In many ways, I think this is the most painful coping-strategy of all. But I think that's because they were enslaved, so it's become a survival mechanism for them.
- Some Russians are starting to develop self-loathing, where some expats (I'm told) criticise their own countries and speak with gushing praise about countries that have tried and tried again to keep Russia down.
In fact, rather than feeling horrified to hear that about 27 million Russians lost their lives in WWII, they are ashamed that Russia lost the greatest number in the war. (As if such losses can say anything about valour or survival skills.)
Some Eastern Europeans also have developed a feeling of disdain for Russia and look down on it.
- You can see some (communist-like) persons from Israel or with Jewish ancestry come up in defense of Palestinian terrorism. I'm not talking about the Refuseniks.
Many other colonised and/or genocided peoples exhibit this. I don't know what it is. I see the symptom, I can piece together the cause, but I don't know the exact manner in which the cause made things grow into the symptom.
India has it pretty bad. Incredibly bad, I'd say.
- After about a millennium of crushing history - in spite of shortlived and dearly-bought victories - we are now ruled by miscreants who need to cook up fake histories glorifying the oppressors, tyrants and terrorists, while suppressing all knowledge of indigenous heroism and brave resistance, rewriting Hinduism's get-along nature with an invented intolerance (to explain the demise of Buddhism in India, for instance - which every historian knows is entirely owing to islam), ignoring all Dharmic accomplishments and innovators.
- Another factor is the lying media - which is entirely in the pockets of other entities (some foreign, many christian) - who won't lose any opportunity to further slur and slander us regardless of absence of any evidence (they will make the news if there's none to be had). To make us convert or even to accept western culture, we have to hate who we are first. And they can't do that without making up lies. It's because we naturally like who we are, as all people do, if left to ourselves and if we're not meddled with.
- A third driving force in instilling and perpetuating self-hate is NGOs. Again, missionaries and foreign interests.
Creating self-loathing, a dependency on and admiration of others, infatuation with other lifestyles is a key goal for another important reason.
India is still a major prize, because it has a huge population which means a huge market. China makes markets of others, it won't be made into a market. But India can be. India must first be moulded into thinking it is lacking junk, that it wants it, needs it. Need to create a country of consumers (kill the local, traditional producers of useful but competing products too), need to create a consumer mentality - a mentality so long alien to Hindus. Because if India's mental makeup doesn't become consumerist, we won't buy western products.
For instance:
- How to make Hindooos eat horrid-tasting and killer-unhealthy McDonalds/Burger King/... stuff?
Our own food is tastier, more wholesome and healthy. How can this be replaced?
One way is to plant lots of McDonalds everywhere (like churches that spring up everywhere) though no one initially comes, except the psecular trendy kinds. Eventually the hectic lifestyle of people forced to work umpteen hours in call centres will make them start visiting these fast-food outlets.
- How to make people buy more. Start opening stores all hours of the night, though barely anyone visits at those times. Eventually, people will come. When their mentality has adjusted.
- How to make Hindoos buy useless 'beauty' products that contain dangerous chemicals and don't even look nice on them? (Women look better without make-up. Traditional Maii/Kajal 'Kohl' and a bunch of earrings is all that's needed for a face to look its best.) Red lipstick, for example, doesn't suit 95%-97% of women. But they'll still wear it, because they imagine that since it looked good on so-and-so it will look good on them too. The strategy works all over the world.
So, in order to market the garbage, they have to first crown some rather plain-looking Indian girls (and a couple of coincidentally pretty ones) as Miss Universe/World. That makes more impressionable girls imagine that beauty can be a full-time (pre-)occupation.
Prey on the insecurity of girls - already a gender that needlessly underestimates itself in terms of physical beauty - make them feel more worthless, make them compare themselves with heightened extremes. You may not have Aish's eyes, but you can buy the eye-liner she's using, or her icky lipstick (Aish looks beautiful without make-up and horrid with lots of makeup).
The existing Indian models market western brands: De Beers diamonds (murdering entire African communities to get small shiny bits of rock), Loreal, and whatever other products can be dumped on India's slowly consumerising society. All the models and beauty queens are immediately signed by western brands.
Get them in more limelight: slowly all the female and male models have been edging out actual actors. This makes young population think that beauty -> modelling (-> beauty pageants) -> acting = success.
You won't believe how in the last 10 years beauty salons have bloomed all-over cities in India. And how large numbers of people have started visiting them. Many who start off with perfect eyebrows come out with another copy of tv-stars' thinly epilated eyebrows. So they end up looking 10-15 years older. Beautiful, unique-looking people end up looking bland carbon-clones of insipid forgettable people.
For every girl or actress in India that does this, I can point out a better looking one in some foreign country who carries it off better.
But when they remain natural, no one else in the world looks like them or compares.
- Make males and females *want* to wear the strangest, ugliest, most unsuitable clothes and imitate foreign tv lifestyles. Cigarettes. Alcoholic beverages.
In fact, I think that's the reason for America pushing its tv onto other countries: it's a way to create consumerist societies in other countries that then seek to have American products. Whenever a trend is copied in a country, change the trend so that the fashionable people still get their stuff from the US and the like.
